  1. The Flash, official, and the Riddler with a proper green hat....! MUST BUY! And if I'm not wrong, the Riddler's wearing a suit...
  2. I would hate printed tiles for anything on her, (unless it's a 1x1 cookie tile like -I think- TrumpetKing came up with) needles or knitted object.
  3. I hope not. Especially since they've started making it shiny...
  4. Knitting is another grandma thing that would work well. Some colorful 1x1 circle plates in a basket. But needles would either be 3L tan bar pieces, or a printed tile.
  5. I like it because of the carousel and the bucket game...and that's it. As a Winter Village Carousel it would be good on its own, the other stalls seem wasted. I don't like how they are trying to make the arches a marketing point, because they know MOCers use such pieces, but to blatantly state it seems wrong somehow. They shouldn't need to market a piece as a reason to get a set, period. $100 is a bit much, and I don't like how the Winter Village and licensed S@H exclusives prices' rise with each set, but at least it isn't $150 or whatever ridiculous number the WVM was rumored to be!
  6. The lollipops are not new, they are paddles with 1x1 round tiles on them (those are new). Unlikely that we'll see anything else but what we have seen with the gingerbread man. And you have a point, Sci. I keep coming here foolishly hoping for pics, but in a few days (read:impossible wait) we'll likely see S11 in its entirety.
  7. Oh my gosh, I can't believe J2G posted news that wasn't new! Sorry, but it's not a common occurrence! Okay, all things aside, I am looking forward to it. Young Boba was in need of an update for a long time now.
  8. Somewhat unfortunate that so few minifigures have that skin tone, so you're forced to have a nightmarish Comanche army!
  9. Before this needs moderation, can we talk about the sets and not reviews?
  10. Agreed. LEGO has done brilliantly with this theme, and if it is only this wave, it'll probably be around for a while anyway. It's unfortunate to have themes for poor movies, but LEGO can't know the success of the film they're producing sets for.
  11. Whenever I see a negatively-reviewed film, I usually wind up thinking, after seeing it, "Forget the critics, that was a good movie!"
  12. The mermaid came up in discussion here, but that didn't really belong either. Sorry.
  13. The grandma would likely be a clever bridge between the Grandpa and Grandma Visitor. It would be awesome if the Diner Waitress had rollerskates. and maybe a notepad? I hope the grandma comes with a dessert, but a pie seems more fitting. I think it would be cool if the scarecrow had a post and straight out arms like this: >----< to clip onto the post. I honestly don't have any interest in the barbarian yet, since the historical figs aren't my favorite, but as nothing about the Barbarian is known, it may change my mind. 8. Guesses about the Lederhosen/Bavarian Lady? 9. Will the Mountain Climber be an ice climber or a hiker? 10. Any guesses about the Constable. I hope it's the traditional British Bobby with a new helmet (that pith helmet just doesn't cut it for me.)
  14. When I saw the LEGO Movie trailer for the first time at the movies today, I noticed that the Mermaid was called out. Does this have significance, or is it a throwaway gag?
  15. I read a New York Times article describing it as "the kind of bomb that people discuss for years to come" and said that "tumbleweeds were rolling through the theater when [LR] was playing". I bet this is on Gore Verbinski's "Top Ten List of the Worst Mistakes I've Ever Made." Frankly, I'd be surprised if more movies come. Darn it that it has great LEGO potential!
  16. Again, critical review is often dissonant from the general audience's opinion. Movies, to connoisseurs/critics, are made to be torn apart. "Where's the bad acting? The poor plot structure? The reliance on action sequences?", while the audience would say, "That explosion was amazing, "HAHAHAHA!", and "We should get that on DVD!"
  17. The Minifigures will all include bases. Each packet will have a sheet depicting the Minifigures on the front and (presumably) the views of separate pieces and where they go on a Minifigure on the back. The Minifigures will all have bios on Lego.com. Okay, I'm sorry, but I had to! Aside from the legit facts, until Comic-Con, nothing else is known. And the Gingerbread Man pic is official.
  18. Not everywhere.
  19. That reminds me of Cars 2, where the critics hated it, but general audiences liked it.
  20. I heard an extremely negative review on the radio yesterday, but I hope that isn't the general opinion. I have yet to see it, but I think the Constitution being the focal point is a little cheesy and stupid, but then again, so were the original LR series.
  21. I liked the Orange Robot's misunderstanding of Chuck's "Hope I'm not late to the party" comment: NEGATIVE. THERE ARE NO FESTIVITIES TAKING PLACE IN THIS SECTOR. I haven't seen the Titan yet, but next time I go to a LEGO store or TRU I'll keep an eye out.
  22. Ah, I see. I never thought they emphasized gold too much, but looking back I can see it. I certainly like this theme better than Kingdoms because it's got some fantastical elements in it, and is overall more vibrant. I liked Castle (2007) the best. Now I await the ensuing flamewar I may have just started...
  23. The Venom villain/drug one was inevitable, and Venom's face makes the moment all the funnier!
  24. S9's Mermaid has a skin-printing-free light blue tail: I don't believe it was a rejected concept. Probably just a new design that may see physical release some day. Crossing my fingers... And why would the colorful Nicki mermaid be rejected? It has a really creative reuse of the one-side-over-the-shoulder hair, and a new color for the tail. Nothing wrong with it, really (except the patch of skin on the tail). I think LEGO may use it someday, but by no means do I think it was an unused concept.
