  2. Drakkenhiem is a rocky volcanic archipelago far west of Mitgardia. Warm winds from the south keep the waters free of ice year round but also fuel a fierce storm season that batters the coastal areas every year. The geography of Drakkenhiem is mostly rugged mountains and jagged shores formed over the millennia by volcanic and seismic activity, but there also are many lush forested areas and small valleys of flat plains for productive crops and livestock due to the extremely rich volcanic soil around dead or dormant volcanoes. The fertile soils support large and often dangerous native wildlife--dragons have long been seen in Drakkenhiem and of course give the archipelago its name. The aquatic landscape is equally varied with the shallows between islands rich grounds for school fish and clams while the seafloor on ocean-facing shores often drops quickly into deep, cold waters containing large sea creatures and migratory ocean fauna. Most people live in the few coastal cities or their supporting inland farming villages which form trade networks moving crops and lumber towards the sea and fish and foreign goods inland. Humans are the dominant race, having discovered, settled, and named Drakkenhiem hundreds of years ago but dwarves and elves are welcome pieces of the islands' society. This was fun! C&C always appreciated.
  3. Awesome tranquil feeling to this. Love the leaves piled up as grass/moss and the bridge is just beautiful. Thanks for the WIP pictures too!
  4. Strong MOC! The keep itself is fantastic, but the little vignettes & details you packed in are really what makes this shine for me.
  5. Solid build SK. My favorite bit is that little table!
  6. Anybody know what the LEGO shop looks like in Billund? Do you have to get a Legoland ticket to get in? Other attractions? I guess you can't just walk into the factory and get a tour () but I could have enough time while on travel to wander over to Lego Mecca if it's worth it...
  7. Freaking nuts SK, freaking nuts. Architecture is insane with all those different types of columns and I'm really surprised at how well all the colors in the landscaping pull together.
  8. Great build! Heavy Derfel influence always looks good, especially in Avalonia; but I really enjoy how you restrained it a bit and went with a little cleaner look. Being able to see through the windows to the backdrop is driving me nuts though. Got to either build more than half the building for real or wall it up with black bricks!
  9. The two+ brick thick base adds a lot of heft and color that I really like! Another great build.
  10. Awesome all around!
  11. Really stunning work here. This MOC is so full of character and emotion. Well done!
  12. Fun use of those corn pieces!
  13. I really like the tower itself and the landscaping at its base, but the diving board is all sorts of weird. Pretty awesome example of what you can do with all of three colors.
  14. Fun figs! A great expansion of the Guilds.
  15. Great gatehouse! I really like that the two towers aren't the same height, nice variety.

  17. Your texture choices here are on point. Studs/no studs & bricks/1x1 round plates are perfection for both landscaping contrast and decorative flair. Love it.
  18. This is fantastic SK! The round tower is seamlessly integrated, which is impressive with the stonework texture you went with, and of course we're treated with the standard awesome interior in your MOCs. My favorite detail is the cheese and tile arches. That said, I've got two little issues: no flag on the turret, and, the landscaping is a bit unremarkable. Solid MOC, one of the best small castles I've seen in a while.
  19. Great capture of the elegant elvish architecture we're used to from TLotR franchise! I really like all the arches and general "lightness" of the structures and the color scheme is also a fun change from the usual. Sweet build.
  20. The sense of motion and urgency imparted by the "Rider" vig is impressive.
  21. Wow. There's some great non-typical landscaping here Slegengar! The contrast between the studdy & stem-element landscape and the studless bridge is great, those big trees are epic, and the attention you gave to the minifigs is fantastic--I particularly am enjoying the four-member band! Awesome work all around.
  22. A couple fantastic interiors!
  23. A great way to wrap up AG1 pombe! I disappeared halfway through, but I certainly enjoyed building some Octan scifi. Thanks to all the AG staff and help for putting this on, it was a massive undertaking and I'm thoroughly impressed with the level of support from you all to the community and especially from Bob with the super slick custom web interfaces. Way cool--the galaxy map and associated planetary flavor text/backstories in particular was completely awesome and added so much to the AG experience.
  24. This is great! Exactly what I'd expect from the Spire! I don't get the big black space wheels, but that's the only complaint I have here. Fantastic MOC. (Love that banner in the back!)
  25. Great backdrop for sure! Brick-built furry creatures are really hard though, and I'm not really feeling this one. More studs as "fur" texture would have maybe helped.
