  1. Details, details, details. Awesome stuff here! Kind of envious of all those trans-green tiles though
  2. First, as others have noted, the horizontal 'banded' rock is a great idea and well executed. Second, the facial expression on the fig with the soon-to-be-dead chicken cracked me up. Wish he was facing the camera a little more.
  3. Probably one of the better uses of light elements I've seen recently, but that big stalactite/stalagmite is honestly the best part for me. It seems we often forget about those when building lego caves. That touch of real-life nature in plastic form made it for me.
  4. Thank you for the kind words Antonio and soccerkid6! Small is pretty easy for me, big MOCs are a bit tougher, speaking of big... My Challenge V thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=75963 And a quick pic:
  5. My entry for Challenge V, I'm kind of surprised nobody has built their take on the "towers made of ice" mentioned briefly in the Travellers Guide - but somebody had to do it... From Mikkel's journal: We arrived today at a newly discovered tower constructed of ice and snow. The small contingent already there has made no headway in determining the origins of the tower or how to enter; there does not appear to be a door. If Victor and his forces are ever defeated, the mages from Cerdica may be able to unlock this structure's secrets. The Norseman running the place at our arrival sure didn't seem happy to see us, but we were informed later that he always looks like he's ready to put an axe through somebody's helm. For now the fishing seems to be good, so at least we'll eat well while we're here. More pics: Hope you enjoy. Edit: Ok, so I'm seeing a slideshow there ^ how do I get just a link?
  6. Hello Eurobricks! I've been lurking for years, but after watching the Guilds of Historica for the past year, I think I may have turned some lights on in my 'dim' age and have started joining in on some of the online communities. I enjoy building castle and space. Castle because it lets my mind wander back in time and space because I've always had such an interest there to the point of making my career in the aerospace industry. I'm hoping to enjoy my time here!
  7. Hello all! I've been watching the Historica happenings for a while and it finally got me off my backside to start building again. I'm hoping to join all you Mitgardians in the frozen tundra for at least the final few challenges. My character: Mikkel is a former engineer for the Jarl, hailing from the Mitgardia capitol, Valholl, and was traveling on a cartography expedition in the Northern Wastelands when Victor's machinations came to light. Since then, he has used his knowledge to improve on the crossbow, increasing its range and accuracy. Recently he's begun experimenting with new fire-powered ballistic weapons. Whether this fire-breathing tube functions on science or wizardry, he knows not--he just knows it works.
