  1. Could it be an articulated hauler? Seems a bit parts-heavy if so
  2. Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it! I have built it in real bricks, and it works just like intended Would be cool, as it is now, gravity does the job. Due to parts count, I think I will have to let it slip this time around
  3. This could turn out pretty awesome, I think! Definitely try to get suspension in there, even a simple one made of rubber bands will get you a long way if you get the looks right!
  4. I started to make a standard 6-axle European truck, and crossed the 200 part limit before it was 1/4 finished So I started again, in a way smaller scale, and this is the result: The features are fairly simple: -Articulated steering from the gear on the roof -Articulation around the x-axis between the cabin and the rear -Rear axles suspension -Dumpable bed (mini LA) by turning the exhaust on the front High resolution pictures available in the %20contest%20Eurobricks"]Bricksafe folder I haven't decided if this will be my entry in the competition yet, but it might if I don't get around to building something else
  5. This also looks great! Never seen one of these in such a small scale!
  6. The looks on this one are just fantastic!
  7. Nice and simple! And quick! Did you have a heads start? A bit sceptical when it comes to the part count though, as you have at least 80 track links! But then again, maybe the big number of those small parts is what gives the impression of a lot of parts used elsewhere!
  8. I rarely venture outside the Technic Forum, but this is easily one of the best MOCs I have ever seen! This is absolutely fantastic! The level of detail is beyond common sense, truly a masterpiece in every way! Can't wait to see the final version with lights, come Autumn! Having just recently rediscovered the Star Wars Comic Magazines, I actually just finished the Thrawn Trilogy a couple of days ago, so I am sort of familiar with him and the ISD Chimaera itself! Bravo to you, Jerac!
  9. Did you glue 1x2 tiles to the large yellow excavator bucket? Looks pretty good!
  10. Damn! That is fantastically awesome!! VIDEO! EDIT: How do you close the bucket? Also; love the little hand piece used for the hydraulig tube (?)
  11. Saw this, as well as some others I hadn't seen before, on his youtube channel a week ago or something, was planning to post it here, but completely forgot! I really like that it actually is as effective at cleaning the balls as it is!
  12. When I discovered bricklink, I was still in the early days of my new Lego Age, so whenever I saw something special in the Technic categories, I bought it, being sure I could use it for something useful! More often than not, that was not the case The only pieces I can remember using are the as a purely decorative piece, and the for the main part of the grenade machine gun on my Tactical G-wagon MOC. The other parts I have never used! However, one (two) special Bionicle part was used on the boom of the 8421! Another on the rear fork of the 8420 EDIT: Picture of the grenade launcher, for those interested:
  13. This is great, thanks! Also, check out gears.sariel.pl It is really great for finding out which gears will mesh together at what distance diagonally, as well as horizontal and vertical
  14. It's a good time for a contest now!
  15. A lot of stuff going on today, definitely making up for the somewhat long hiatus of the Hall of Fame topic Glad to see Edwin's boats getting just a little extra attention, they are truly some of the most impressive models ever featured on this forum! Also; good to see you got someone to help out with the Hall of Fame, I'm positive Alasdair will do a great job! If you keep up this pace of updates, you will push everyone else off the frontpage!
  16. Love it! Can't wait to see how it behaves in a video!
  17. Regarding the so-called licensed parts, I was able to buy orange 5x11 panels directly from Lego Bricks & Pieces, no problem. Might be different for the bucket though, as it is a highly specialized part, and modeled after a specific piece of hardware made by Volvo
  18. Visually, that is the only difference. The specs are of course different, but nothing on the outside except the V2 marking lets you tell them apart
  19. By the way; what is the distance (in studs) between the upper and lower holes for attaching the bucket? If I remember correctly, it is 3,5 on the previous big bucket, and I never quite understood why they didn't just make it 4
  20. Great review write up, and fantastic pictures, as we have come to expect from you! Regardig the model, I definitely agree with you that it looks better from certain angles than others! I am really impressed by the massive size of the thing! My main complaint is still the choice to use a servo for the steering... I would have expected (and was hoping for) more new parts, but it's nice to see the 5L thin liftarms/levers in LBG at least.. I think I will pass on this set, and instead just buy the bucket alone!
  21. It looks like you are developing your building skills nicely! I would try making the chassis a bit narrower though, as it looks like it's going to be a little wide compared to the length and size of wheels
  22. So cool that you got to see the real car up close! Don't suppose you got to take it for a spin?
  23. I was thinking the same thing Fantastc looking MOC, appeals to me a lot more than the regular supercar! Would have been brilliant in the light blue of this year's hot rod set, but that'll just be a dream!
