  1. The Countach covers look great!!
  2. Is he a local of your town? Is there any way you could go meet him, or go to him, and pay cash and get your sets from him face to face? Does seem too good to be true indeed, but still, from time to time these fantastic deals pop up!
  3. Measuring the peak speed of your phone moving in your hand, really isn't very accurate.. Still, I like the design of your trike.. do you have some pictures uploaded?
  4. where else? Don't know how he does it, but he puts together some packs at unbeatable prices! I take it you got the 8421 and 8285 from finn as well? He originally had 8275 for sale at £65, as well as the big 1:8 Ferrari F1 at £60 as well, but I think they were sold pretty fast... I didn't even get a reply Might as well, couldn't have afforded them now anyway.. still, good deal! Sucks about the smoke smell though...
  5. Recently got 42000 Grand Prix Racer, 42025 Cargo Plane, 42023 Construction Crew and 42024 Container Truck, all new in box, and for the nice price of £140 + shipping Of these, the only one I really wanted was 42025, but for £20 more than that set is sold for in stores, I got those three fairly big sets in addition, so I'm pretty happy with the deal
  6. On the 9395 scale, I would do independent on the front axle with either these and , alternatively use the newer parts from the snowmobile and .. Personally I prefer the older type On the rear axle, you could make a live axle suspension maybe? There really isn't much room back there, without some heavy modification
  7. Wouldn't that classify as proper manure? By the way; wouldn't the flails be driven in the wrong direction? That is assuming the conveyor conveys front to back?
  8. It's not a contest, but from reading the topic title, I imagine it runs to the last day of this month (March 31st) It would be cool if a topic was made at the end of the month, collecting all the [JFAIR] projects in one place
  9. I'm a little bit divided on a couple of things, and seek your opinion regarding the wheels and the front mud guards So which of the folowing do you find best looking? Personally I am leaning toward the black rim with black sprocket in the middle now, although I was sure I was going to use just the grey rims yesterday Mud guard options: I feel the latter one represents the original AS210E pretty well... thoughts? The bucket geometry is different from the Mk II, yes... It is not finished yet, but hopefully it will be better! I have a couple of ideas I want to try, to hopefully make the kinematics close to the real life loader I'm glad you liked the Mk II
  10. I think this would be good for static models, like GBC modules, and maybe harbour crane models and such.. As to why you didn't get the responses you were hoping for, I think it might be just the fact that the majority of MOCs built are models that are meant to be moved around, so a wire going to a wall socket might not be ideal. I like the idea, might make something like it to keep on my work table, to test mechanisms during the building process
  11. Looks great! Especially like the spare wheel on the back door!
  12. That's great! Way to think outside the box!
  13. Thanks for the kind words! It's a completely new model, so instructions would have to be made from scratch.. But if the final model turns out good, I might take the time to make some instructions, just don't expect anything anytime soon
  14. A little bit of late night building tonight, getting in some progress on the Mk III Swingloader/Mecalac AS210E... The entire inside has been redesigned in front of the rear wheels, and is now very sturdy, reliable and compact Not sure about the cabin roof and doors yet. Also, need to perfect the kinematics, do some work on the rear.. Also need to improve the steering somewhat, as it pops out now (need to use 8 tooth gears and studded bricks/racks du to the 90 degree turn of the servo). Overall I like the looks of this one better than the Mk II
  15. Isn't the model on the lower right hand corner a dentists chair?
  16. I have no idea, but I guess it will be something tracked! The technical pieces are very limited, you have no LAs, nor many gears... and only six tread sprockets.. Then again, you do have four steering racks.. but no wheels (nor gears to drive said racks, for that matter)... I don't think it will be an excavator, as there are no LAs or a bucket.. Maybe a snow groomer, with limited functions? Or perhaps a snowmobile with limited functions? I hope they surprise us with something original, but lately, they don't often do...
  17. That is a neat design, but I think it is pretty useless in Technic axle scale. Just imagine how small the ballbearings would have to be. Also, to print a spherical ball bearing doesn't work, it's just not going to be smooth and round enough.
  18. Thanks! Regarding the "dancing blade", I found that funny as well Was thinking about modifying the blade with teeth, to make it look like a mouth opening and closing. Then I could chase down minifigures for the video, but then I remembered I don't have any minifigs
  19. Terraria on PS Vita, waiting eagerly for Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes coming this week!
  20. I think he meant it's not for a driven axle
  21. I shot some pics and a video of the pneumatic and motorized version together, for anyone interested.
  22. Really cool! I almost expected it to lift off at one point in the film!
  23. Never mind about the GoPro, how did the RC components fare? Nice performing boat though, I think the main problem might be the VCG is too high compared to the centre of flotation, even for a twin hull boat
  24. I suspect this model may have something to do with it becoming so rare (and expensive) so quickly!
