  1. that's looking good! i'd make an offroader with that!
  2. looks really nice, maybe all those white bits on the hood are not convincing me but the overall look is cool!
  3. here's the direct link :) it's not really an instruction book....it is just the model on Ldraw, but it's tidy, it has groups, so you can just remake it from that https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/iwxp0zxmiukccnm/Lego%20Polaris%204x4%20by%20piterx.rar?token_hash=AAHVgvqSzDd6KQlpD7COYeyw0E92j_3p8Ei5XCPHfK3MNA&dl=1
  4. great :D post some pictures then!! i was actually thinking about making a redesign with RC motors instead of slow xls :P
  5. actually i don't like too much the body, but at least it HAS A BODY !!! im pretty used to see people calling crawlers bare frames with wheels :D performances seems to be really good tho and the idea about having two separate servos is very clever good moc dude :D!
  6. Hey guys! I'd start saying that a lot of you made amazing mocs for this contest, so congratulations to all of you! "Unfortunately" this period i'm working, so i had nearly no time to make something cool...btw here's my 1 hour un-competitive entry XD You know how much i love quad bikes buggies and atvs in general... so i thought about making something with the pullback motor then i had in mind the pullback model i bought and remembered that it lost stability at every terrain imperfection.... so i added a front pendular axle to absorb bumps and it works really good before the contest ends i'll add the piece count but it's way lower than 200 :) i also wanna make stickers for it to make it look more aggressive and a video to show the model in action :)
  7. don't forget about the shifting mechanism operated by a servo :) it will help you a lot!
  8. hey mate, honestly, the setup i made for my first gearbox sucks :P the one i used in the pajero is way better, smoother and more reliable this is the way it works, you can also make it smaller i'd suggest you to make a 3+R as this is an unsynchronized gearbox...the 4th gear is almost impossible to engage :)
  9. that trial track is just epic! and your crawler performs really good as well!
  10. some cool stuff man! very interesting
  11. it's not nice, it's not useful but it's f#%&£# impressive man :D and i think it's a nice piece of technic engineering as i wouldn't know where to start to build something that tall wich doesn't collapse eheh so great job!
  12. wow! that's awesome man :) really nice!
  13. wow that's really an awesome model man! i love white cars :)
  14. ahah yeah at the moment it still looks as a f40 xD i need to work a little bit more on the front eheh thanks guys!
  15. thank you really ,much guys! weight is 720g now, i think it won't go higher than 800 once finished, it still drifts nicely :D yeah i know that but the new hubs rotate more giving it some degrees more for the steering angle :)
  16. update :P while im quite happy with the rear part of it im not so happy with the doors that don't look like the real ones... i still need to add the hood and front lights... the only problem is that it won't be openable and lights should be opened separately hope you like it!
  17. well the shader for the plastic should have more glossiness as it's plastic :P but mainly i think you messed up something with the environment....you didn't use any environment map right? so the plastic isn't reflecting anything but itself :P ps: ah it needs ambient occlusion as well :P
  18. F*** YEAH it's great :D just great! love the song you choosed....so aussie ACDC :D how did you manage to put all the parts on maya? love the part where it's changing from 3d to real :D the only thing i don't like are the shaders you made for the 3d XD damn you!
  19. we should make a "rally collection" or maybe a contest as long as everyone use the new wheels wich are perfect for rally cars so all of them will be aproximately in the same scale
  20. i'm using the V2 recivers so i don't think it will kick in anyway as it's really low it's not made to run on obstacles :P i think i'll bring it on some soil just to make some dust while drifting lol
  21. here it is :) maybe two rc motors are a little bit too much XD
  22. thank you man :) i will use flex axles for the body so i can keep it light and tidy :) in the meanwhile im starting modelling the back of it...obviously it's not going to be the final look lol i need to find a way to make the whole rear part openable, i guess it has to be one single piece with rear fenders and rear bumper
  23. so the chassis seems to be finally ready...maybe i'll do minor changes here and there whn i'll start the body :) the red plates on top of the recivers will be a part of the roof...so that's gonna be the maximum height of the model hope you like it oh btw...its performances are insane XD proportions check
