  1. I wholeheartedly agree with all of your concerns. I'm cautiously optimistic, but there are a hundred different ways this could go wrong.
  2. That time twisters set is a train wreck. (See what I did there?) I agree that the painting with the derigables looks great.
  3. I have to agree, Itaria In general, I would prefer a standard mixed series because I'm more likely to get one ore two good historical figs, but I'm likely to buy 10 or 12 of this monster series for me and my daughter when we usually buy 3 or 4 total. And as far as historic figs go, this gargoyle is going to look great on my castles, and I will definitely be buying multiples.
  4. That army looks really nice. What techniques did you use for the printing on fabric and plastic?
  5. Well that's one of the coolest things ever. Beautiful work! So much to love about this, it's hard to pic a favorite aspect, but if I had to, it's the little garden island connected by the bridge. Love it!
  6. We've got this one to bridge the gap: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=102812&hl=
  7. FINALLY some better pics! The skeleton costume face print is funny, like that a lot. Spider lady is cool, my daughter will love that one. Specter is pretty cool. I don't love the face but the rest makes up for it. Gargoyle is the stand out here. Best one I've seen and I'll need multiples.
  8. Love it. I could not have asked for better. I could go either way on the legs (short or regular), but the head, print and wings are perfect, and that's what's most important.
  9. Very cool! It retains the classic forestmen feel, especially since it hinges open like that.
  10. We don't know when we'll get an announcement. We expect we'll see a first wave hit shelves in January. In regard to the pic posted, I think a steampunk derigable in a fantasy/medieval setting could work, but I just don't care for that particular jumbled mess of a design. No offense to the artist, but there's got to be a better representation of such a thing that could adapt to Lego.
  11. The bullet farmers' thank was a Plymouth Valiant.
  12. I figured, and I have. Didn't see the Mixels stuff anywhere.
  13. Where was there a Challenger in Mad Max? Also, the car from F&F is a Charger.
  14. Where are ya'll finding this stuff?
  15. Wow, I hadn't seen that Ninjago temple. I personally am not that into the Asian aesthetic when it comes to Lego, but if I were, that'd be a must-have instant classic.
  16. All rumors at this point, but they seem to be pretty well informed rumors. Nothing official.
  17. Amazing concept, beautiful execution. Really wonderful work.
  18. If Chima is a good example of timing, this is how that went down: Legends of Chima released: January 2013 Storyline leaked: late September 2012 First photos: mid-October 2012
  19. Skipping the whole tanks & helicopters thing is a win in itself. I could surely find a place for steampunk stuff. That sort of element has found a home in fantasy stuff before in gnomes and goblins as far back as the original Warcraft games if I recall correctly. Could make for some neat siege engines and that sort of thing.
  20. Let me guess... Castlego, Knights of Spinjoust!
  21. On the grim & gritty subject: while I agree that every character being angst-filled (see DC comic movies) has gotten old, and that the Marvel cinematic universe is an example of kid friendly adventure that doesn't forget to have fun, every movie studio is leaning towards the middle. It's gotten to the point where the MCU is the template for making gobs of money, so even established R rated adventure series like the Terminator are going PG-13 and failing because of it. I don't know where that leaves castle fans from a pop culture perspective. It seems unlikely that we'll get a light hearted King Arthur or Dragon Slayer type movie anytime soon. Now that I mention that though, both early-80's versions were super grim, so maybe that's not so new. (Excalibur and Dragonslayer)
  22. The more that I think about the idea of a story-driven, named character theme that's supported by a TV show, the only way I can see this working out in a non-power Rangers way would be Heroica. There's a decent story line in place from the games, and the various characters have more variety than rainbow Knights. For heroes, there's barbarian, ranger, wizard, druid, rogue, knight.... All of the classic D&D style classes. Mix in the races like an elf ranger, it could have potential. Villains include goblins (which look like fantasy orcs), dark druids, golems, werewolves, vampires and zombies. If I'm being optimistic (and let's face it, I am), as long as there isn't a druid tank or werewolf helicopter, this could work and offer up some nice variety. For example, medieval-looking zombies would be super cool.
  23. Yeeeah, as optimistic as most of us are (including myself), that's not confirmation. That's some guy (you) on the internet that says he knows a guy (?). Confirmation would be TLG officially announcing something, or photos/catalog images being leaked.
