I feel bad for western. It's fun and fertile ground for adventure, I've just never been a fan in Lego form.... And I'm born and raised in Fort Worth. "Where the West begins" For castle I'm really interested in the big creator/modular angle. It could lead to great builds and wouldn't interfere with Nexo.

Why is the Series 1 Zombie so expensive?
SirBlake replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I love that idea. Each series (as far as I recall) has at least one no-brainer pick for best of the series. Opinions will vary of course, but that'd be fairly easy math. Just look at the aftermarket prices.- 43 replies

Such a great theme. Question for the U.S. FOLs: did you find this anywhere besides Toys R Us? I don't recall seeing anywhere that it's an exclusive theme, but that's the only place I found it, which is a shame because the smaller sets sold out fast and they never restocked at my local TRU.

This looks really nice. I particularly like the fireplace and how "roaring" the fire is.

Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
SirBlake replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I think most would agree with you. We did, sort of, get a new stag design out of the CMF elf. I think it's a great design, it's just too hard to get multiples at this point. I think it's reasonable to assume at least one of those will have the new Egyptian warrior mold shield. At least, I hope so. -
I can't think of words that would do this justice, so I'm just going to settle for "WOW!!!".

I think one of the best parts is that you can make it what you want. I was thinking of executing on some of Jagger's ideas like the barracks. Maybe leave out the bad guy siege weapon and make it an army builder with two good guys and three bad guys. That's cool, I'll look into that. If you were involved, it's probably much more thorough and better developed than if I tried to engineer something like that in a vacuum.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

I love Alexandre's designs. Either the mummy warrior or demon warrior would be amazing. How about an original Mercury seven suit? -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
SirBlake replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The queen looks great. I would have preferred a new crown piece, but the dress more than makes up for it. I hope the scary knight is good. Can't wait to see pics of that one. -
Here are some names of some local pubs in my area. I think any of them would be a good fit. The Bull and Bush The Royal Falcon The Boiled Owl

You should! You know, this gives me an idea. Since we're not getting any new product any time soon, we should do Historica type challenges, only in Lego set style with production parameters. Like a blacksmith with a limit of 200 pieces and two minifigs, or an MMV style add-on building with the same footprint and similar piece count. I think we could have a lot of fun with it and end up with a whole host of suggestions for what we want from TLG when they get back to making real castle stuff.

Very cool! I'd love to grab a beer at that place. Does it have a name? A good tavern needs a name.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
SirBlake replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
A Medieval farmer would be really appreciated. A nice way to get some traditional castle figs since there's no theme on the horizon. Sounds like that's not what we're getting though. -
Very cool! Do it, and do it better than I did.
-
I think that's a great way to put it, and I totally agree.

Very nice, especially for such a small scale. I've built a bunch of hot rods at a larger scale (6 studs wide at the cowl), and even then it was a challenge to squeeze as much detail in as you have here.

First of all, thank you for posting here and inviting us to speak our minds. Very cool of you. Secondly, I'm only posting here because you solicited our feedback. I believe this thread should mostly be for people who are fans of the theme, and it is beating a dead horse to continue to berate the theme if it doesn't appeal to your sensibilities (I'm including myself here). There is lots of discussion of what regular castle theme fans would like to see. This thread is just one example: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=115655 I have posted my opinion of the Nexo Knights theme multiple times, but simply put, there's nothing in it for me, even from a parts or minifigure perspective. With that, I will once again slink back to the historic themes section. Even though there is no new product to discuss there, there's always plenty of discussion and great MOCing going on. There's a reason there are more topics and posts in the Historic Themes section than anywhere else on this forum. We're active and we're passionate. I eagerly await the day when there's something new to add to my collection. Thanks again for posting and listening.

You did a really nice job on these. It's funny, last year about the same time I was doing something similar, but different. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=106436&hl= Instead of making them lower, I went wider. I know it's not city scale, but I just can't abide cars so narrow that only a single minifig can fit centered in the middle. Both fun ways to mod these excellent sets though. I look forward to any that you do with this next series.

Love it! As others have said, there's just something right about the classic feel and proportions. Thanks for posting!

This is the set that brought me out of my dark ages. Though it's pretty simple, it's also elegant, and a great compliment to pretty much any past castle theme.

Sorry for digging this one up, but I thought it was appropriate to the subject. I stumbled on this at Lego Ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/116214 It's a similar concept to what I was doing here, but in many ways better. I don't know this person, nor had I seen this build before. I just thought it was really nice and that y'all would appreciate it.

Wow, very impressive! Really like the roofs.

This is so exciting! I've owned half a dozen Mustangs, so that one is a sure buy for me. I'll be transforming it to an 8 stud-wide body like I did the Porche 918 and La Ferrari. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=106436&hl= I agree that there's something "off" about the Mustang's front end, but maybe adding a couple of studs in width will help that. I also dig the Camaro race and Raptor/Model A hot rod. I'll be buying that one for sure. I can't believe we're getting a minifig race driver with a Ford logo!!!

Fast Car is a little disappointing from a design perspective. Kind of a step backward relative to the last two, but the scale is right and it'll be fun to customize.
