  1. Hello everyone! My name is Neomar Dethron. I've been in Flickr posting and making many different MOCs for the last few years, and now I decided to join Eurobricks :) I enjoy building castles, and sci-fi stuff about random or made-up themes. If you want, go check my Flickr photostream to see the stuff I've been building :) Have a great day! My Flickr: https://www.flickr.c...neomar_dethron/
  2. Hello everybody! Here it is the summer update of my town diorama... this year there aren't many modifications since I've already reached the maximum space available. For this reason I've started to replace some of the buildings on a rotation basis... If you compare these pictures to last year's, you'll see a missing building... Well, said building (a tan house) hasn't gone, but it will replace another one in future, and so on... I've added a 16-wide gap between the department store and the fire station in order to add some variety to the street. Hope you like Not much has changed here... So, here's said gap, and there is a missing building... City park is still there, and, oh, there's a baby! Much space now! Hope to show you more updates in the next weeks!
  3. Hey everyone, I just wanted to share an awesome MOC from my friend on Lego Ideas, nunki-psi. Nunki-psi was recently staff picked for another project, Medieval Pharmacy. Nunki-psi's newest project is a peddler's wagon with opening doors, a removable roof, many accessories, and amazing details and aesthetics. The link to it is here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/116646. Here also is a picture of it:
  4. Hi. I'm always very impressed and amazed with MOC creations but I'm the type who would just stick to building sets with instructions. Are there any users in Eurobricks or in the lego community who sell their MOCs? Where and how do i find them? And is there any chance that instructions would come with the MOC? Thanks. Alex
  5. I just got a Robin Hood themed set approved on Lego Ideas, at https://ideas.lego.c...rojects/108565. If you are interested in seeing more sets that work alongside Forestmen and Dark Forest sets, or are just a fan of Robin Hood in general, please support the project to show that we want more of this type of set. Feel free to leave any suggestions as well, and I will work to update the set based on these suggestions. The project includes Robin Hood, George a Greene, Bettris, Much the Miller's Son, and Sir Guy of Gisbourne. It also opens up (from a locked position) so that you can easily access the different levels of the tree, and includes several Robin Hood-like accessories. I have three future projects in the pipeline as well, revolving around Little John, Marian, and Will Scarlet. Lastly, do you know of other good places for me to share this project? 6. Hello, everyone! I love building the Lego Castle sets, as well as making my own MOCs. I think castle hasn't been as much of a focus lately, perhaps because many (based on what I have heard) feel that castle keeps regurgitating old ideas. What does everyone else think? My MOCs have revolved around King arthur and Robin Hood, since these are two themes as of yet unexplored in the official Lego world. The Forestmen and Dark Forest sets do resemble Robin Hood though, and I like to collect these. If you are interested, I just got a Robin Hood project approved at Lego Ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/108565 You can also see pictures of this and other MOCs on my Flickr account: https://www.flickr.com/photos/104046995@N05/sets Nice to see so much active discussion here!
  7. This is my fourth and final MOC revolving around Robin Hood, featuring Will Scarlet and Gamble Gold at an outpost, along with one of Prince John's soldiers. This outpost features a fake rock wall in the back which can be raised up to reveal two crates of treasure and two small barrels of food. These merry men can also raise the ladder to prevent any intruders. As with my other three Robin Hood MOCs, any feedback is much appreciated. If there is enough interest in this and my other Robin Hood MOCs, there is one more set I am considering making. This MOC is also a project on Lego Ideas. Feel free to support it here if you like it: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/110260 You can also see these and additional pictures in higher res on Flickr at https://www.flickr.c...157655824432309
  8. I am wondering if there should be a post dedicated to people who are building MOCs out there produced by others specifically dedicated towards part selection. Recently there was a thread that discussed buidling other's MOCs, like Sheepo's mustang (or other models) or Designer Hans' new crane. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105262 However, nothing to my knowledge exists specifically towards these models and the availability of parts selection. Why I bring this up is because I am working on the Sheepo's mustang. i am modifying it a bit, but as I am building it I am stumbling upon some things I did not know were an issue. For example, we all know flexible axles are rare and $$$$ pricey, and I knew there would be other parts that likewise would be pricey (like the damper) but other things arose that were a surprise for me. Like connecters #3 in red. Hardly any in the US. Building one mustang in the US, without paying overseas shipping, would completely deplete the US storage of all connector #3's. To go overseas for the parts would cost over 100$ USD! Just for those parts. Price is one thing, and I know that good builders will pay the costs to have their models done just right, but my whole country doesn't have enough of these parts even for one Mustang!! - alas, this would have been nice to know b/f i began the model. Yes, I can substitute for another color, but not at this point in the game. I have already built and bought pretty much everything else for the build. Not that this has to be that post.... it would be useful to have one for each and every major MOC that is in production. Starting one for Sheepo's mustang or other models might be a good idea. It looks like many are thinking about building Designer Han's new crane... so a post on that one would be helpful as well. Again, just discussing the build in terms of element selection and availability. Many parts are exchangeable in terms of colors. What colors are changeable and what are not? Does the builder want all functions? For the build I am doing, I don't care for the lego elements that power Sheepo's Mustang. I am powering it with something else. I don't care for the braking system (if my intent is to make it go fast, brakes just add more friction and slow it down) or the two L motors that power it. Therefore... I can do away with all those elements. These are all things people need to consider as they build others' work. Discussing them would be helpful.
  9. I think it might be wise to just go ahead and start a topic for all the incoming FO Heavy Gunner gun MOCs that will pop up, so people can easily find them here. So just go ahead and post any you made/know of
  10. Hey! What SW stuff do you wanna build in the future? On my list is this Y-B2 ugly, X-'ceptor, and the various concept snowspeeders. Y-B2 Snowspeeder concepts: X-'ceptor Thing I'll build with what's left for the excrement and excitement: More pics >> http://imgur.com/a/raBFL Pictures are appreciated, but if they don't exist and it's something you came up with on your own, just describe it! I would love to see all your ideas. Dammit, it cut off my thread title. It's supposed to be "Star Wars MOCs you really wanna make but you have to take your time with because you're a man in a world gone mad" Hey mods, think you can rename it "Star Wars MOC To-do List thread?"
  11. I plan to display some creations at Brick 2015 in the UK. This will probably be the first display at a LEGO convention as well as purchasing specific parts for MOC's. I normally build on LEGO Digital Designer and occasionally build with actual bricks, examples can be seen here: Now for your help! I need to know what is the best way to purchase parts for LEGO MOC's, I plan to display some of my best creations that you guys have already seen as well as some new secret projects. What is the best option or cheapest way to build LEGO MOC's? Pick-A-Brick, buying multiple sets, Bricklink/Brickowl etc. One big problem I've come across is budget. I have acsses to just over £1100 from now until October. Should I spend all of it on creating MOC's for Brick2015 or should I mix it up and buy a few sets? Is it worth taking apart sets for specific parts, I own many LEGO Super Heroes sets as well as LEGO Ideas and D2C sets? I've been to Brick last year and saw many large layouts. What is the best size to build at? I would like to build some of my best MOC's I have already shown on Flickr. Any tips for smaller builds in similar sizes to official LEGO sets? I'm currently thinking of doing a large layout as the center piece to attract attention and have smaller builds on the side. What do you think? How do you guys plan in advance? Any other tips and ideas you guys have to help me with your past experiences of LEGO conventions and building MOC's? Any feedback and suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Adeel
  12. No survey, no better or worse just your opinions. I am going to search my favorites it has been a long and good year, sure it will be tracks in my list . Happy new year, I forgot it .

  14. So, to start filling my hangar, I present you my JFAIR build: A 9394 C-model: The X29 It has working landing gear, and the joystick controls both the front canard wings and the afterburner. This was a fun build, but actually not intended to just be a C-model. I started building a X-29 about a year ago, but I just couldn't work it out. Although i had some nice parts worked out, like the landing gear, the build was to complex for me. So, this is a more simplified model, and i'm happy with the result. 9394 has a very limited part range, so you just have to re-use some of the techniques from the A-model. Like you can see at the above bottom-shot. I wanted the front wheel below the cockpit, so getting in the landing gear and the joystick was a little tricky. Hope you like it. Edit: changed the set number, since it was obviously the wrong one, and I had a brainfart when putting this together...
  15. Hello everyone. I wanted to get some feedback on some SoNE free-builds I have started. I have never done a MOC much less post it online. They are a WIP and are not ready to be judged. I will also end up changing the names of each after I have more time to think about them. (When they are ready I will post each one in its own/new topic.) The only reason why I didn't make them bigger/more detailed is because I don't have very many pieces of the right color needed in the various builds. (90%-95% of my pieces are built into my LEGO sets and I don't want to disassemble any sets.) Constructive criticism is welcome! Thank you! Name: Mini Hoth Police Stand Scout Trooper arresting a rowdy Stormtrooper. Name: Communications Room on a Star Destroyer. Name: Guarding on Tatooine in a former pond. (Hence the plants.)
  16. Battle of Mustafar My 3rd creation for the Clone Wars community build is a small battle scene (again). Anakin and the 501's attacked the separatists secret base on planet, Mustafar. The clones and Anakin fight with the commando droids. UPDATE: New, better pictures. I build it again and made some new photo. Each side:
  17. Hello there, I would like to show you my latest MOC. I've built this MOC for the Community Build: SW The Clone Wars. It shows a scene from the first episode of the first season of The Clone Wars. See Wikipedia In this scene you can see Master Yoda fighting desperately with a group of droids. It seems as if the Jedi Master will lose this fight, but the three clone troopers are going to help Master Yoda by shooting at the mountain with a rocket launcher. This will bury the droids under a tons of rubble. You can find all pictures on flickr I hope you enjoy this MOC Best regards konze
  18. Mandalorian Hideout My 2nd creation for the Clone Wars community build is a mandalorian hideout, which is in a hangar. (maybe on coruscant) /It's one of my older MOCs, but this is the perfect place to show it./ In the background a mandalorian is repairing the speeder and there are the guns: Other views:
  19. In honour of the upcoming Tony Awards I thought I'd share some Musical MOCs with you guys that we've made this year: (apologies in advance if these are too big, I'm relatively computer illiterate...) More can be found on our Musical MOC Flickr Set Would love your most honest and brutal critique, we're all about getting better at it and the advice would be awesome, this weekend we're doing 3 more for the Tony Awards on Sat-Mon so will utilize any advice we're given!
  20. "This War Will Claim Us All..." With the conclusion of the Future of Star Wars contest it's time again to continue the community builds! The last few builds have been great successes, so let's get started on a new one. This is not a contest, just a chance for everyone to build in the same theme. 22. Hello, the Zusammengebaut 2015, our first Lego exhibition, was so much fun. In the middle of Germany, in a small town named Borken (Hessen), there have been so many people of all ages; great. Eleven exhibitors, for example Gábor Horváth arrived from Hungary, have presented fantastic Brick-Worlds. If you like: Many images and more information (in German) you can find here. This is the official Zusammengebaut 2015 video. And if you would like to join us next year, please contact me at any time. We will be in Borken at the end of November, again. Best wishes Andres
