  1. Would it? My understanding is that the Space CMF series is this fall, so I would imagine the DnD series would likely be September. Do I have this wrong?
  2. I don’t have the Viking Village yet, but I figure this one took a little over 6 hours. I took my time and enjoyed the process, but there was quite a bit to it.
  3. Fun build. I’m really pleased with this set. Aside from the stickers, I think this thing is pretty much perfect.
  4. The Creator castle gets a bad rap. Aside from the meager minifig selection, the builds are actually pretty great, and make for a unique look with nice techniques.
  5. Yes, I’m aware of that, I was looking for a source. I just found that source on the Reddit thread on legocastles. Pretty exciting!
  6. Forgive me for missing it, but where did the no-flesh-tone printing news come from? I hadn’t heard that but it’s very exciting to hear.
  7. Incredible news! I’m sure there will be a ton of good stuff for us castle fans. I suppose these will be fleshies which will be an interesting challenge. Still, pretty great to hear this.
  8. I already said as much on the LegoCastles subreddit, but for those that don’t frequent that sub, here are my thoughts. Good to see more/better pics. Understanding that some people are disappointed, here is my checklist of expectations and why I am not disappointed. 1: Animals - check While it is certainly fewer animals than the survey leak pic, things like cows, horses and sheep are readily available. What isn’t readily available is a recolor of the goat, and that’s pretty awesome. 2: Minifigs - check + I expected most to be new, and most to be civilians. This is one of the biggest things for this set and I’m liking what I’m seeing. It gets a + because I think most of us expected another forestman, and the Wolfpack is a welcome surprise. 3: Build - check I think we’re getting spoiled, as I think the build is objectively more interesting than either of the two main civilian-focused sets we’ve gotten in the past. (MMV & MVR) bigger and much more than just two basic houses or a simple barn. 4: art - check + Unique elements are important in a set like this and I had high hopes that have been exceeded. Wall art, tapestry, new shield and tons of great signage are fantastic. While it would surely be better with prints instead of stickers, I think we all know not to expect all of this to be printed in today’s Lego offerings. I can’t wait to add this to my medieval village.
  9. Lots to soak in and I hope we get more higher resolution pics soon. For now, I’m just going to point out a subtle tie-in to LKC: the chair being built on the left is the exact same construction as the chairs in the LKC, but in a raw wood color instead of a darker stain. It seems like that has to be deliberate, as there are uncountable ways to build a chair.
  10. That is certainly possible, but considering that it goes on sale in less than a month, some sort of reveal has to be eminent.
  11. Ah, thanks. I watch most of his videos. Not sure how I missed that one.
  12. Forgive my ignorance, but I tried finding it and failed. What is the source of the supposed photo release date?
  13. Which I would consider much more likely. Peter is among my favorite creators and doesn’t deserve to be slandered with accusations of theft and “passing it off as his own”.
  14. That first leaked photo was both potato quality and preliminary. A slightly less potato-ish pic of the real deal would suit me just fine while we wait for official photos.
  15. I for one am really tired of waiting for real photos. The wait is easier when we know exactly what we're getting. If Feb 7 is the day, I guess that's fine, but sooner is better. C'mon leakers, get to it!
  16. I’m not nervous at all. First, it’s going to come with new cool stuff, especially when it comes to minifigs and animals. Secondly, if there are disappointing aspects of the build, I can improve it to my tastes, which is honestly one of my favorite things to do with Lego.
  17. I prefer your version of all of these. And digressing back to that older post above, I can’t imagine that Lego designers aren’t aware of your work. I actually think it would be irresponsible of them to ignore the public discourse on their product, and this series is a pretty important part of that. Just think of those Alexandre Bourdon illustrations that were everywhere and how they fueled the conversation. He ended up being hired by TLG if I recall correctly. Now your stuff is appearing above those in Google image searches for terms like “Lego minifigure concepts”.
  18. That would be nice. Decent pics that answer some questions and end the broad speculation would go a long way to make the wait easier.
  19. Holy cow! Not only is this an amazing concept deftly executed, but that is one of the better looking large scale swords I've ever seen. Love it!
  20. Wow, this ended up being pretty prophetic. Well done!
  21. Woof, a swing and a miss on this one. This has gone from my most anticipated set of the year to a great excuse not to participate in the GWP exclusivity BS. 1 Step forward for TLG continuing to provide options for castle fans, two steps back for a lackluster offering. PASS.
  22. Some good conversation/speculation going on in here. I personally love the idea of the crusader axe torso making a comeback. I was 9yo when 6080 came out, and for me, the two torsos are inseparable from the faction. That said, I think I’d be ok with whatever faction/print they use. Of course something we haven’t already seen in the last few years would be preferred. I was hoping for a secondary archer Lion print like the Falconer CMF, but I like the crusader axe idea just as much.
  23. I agree with that. Also, I’m glad its not over $300.
  24. Yeah, I’m excited at the prospect of the shields smith. Reissuing old shields sounds good, though they seem to have that pretty well covered these days. I would also love to see a selection of new shields.
