  1. Almost every store (Target, TRU, Wally World) in my area all restocked with series 12 in the last two weeks and poor Walgreens is still sitting with a peg full from the first and only box they got last fall.
  2. It would be great if true. I remember similar wishful conversations when the last theme came about. It seems that most of us want the return of classic factions and/or non-licensed fantasy. I certainly agree, and just hope that whatever the next theme is, it has nice heraldry.
  3. Ah, very nice. I should have recognized both of those pieces. They come together to make a fantastic goblin. I may have to try the metal polish removal method. The goblin design is great, but that patch in particular makes for a too-uniform grouping.
  4. Those goblins look great! I recognize 3 of the heads, but the head & torso on the front/left is not familiar. Also, did you "polish of Nail" the patch off of the goblin hat in the back?
  5. After one early sighting a couple of weeks ago, series 13 is nowhere to be found in my area. Targets reset the Lego aisle and all are restocked with series 12. :-/
  6. Very well said.
  7. I got the lonely mountain/Smaug set yesterday, and I was pleasantly surprised with how fun the build was. This completes my collection of available middle earth sets, which is bitter sweet. I'll continue to hope for at least some Gondor representation at some point. With that line ended and no castle on the horizon, it's going to be a slow year. I suppose I'll just look for the occasional CMF and maybe catch up on a few things I've missed in the past.
  8. I was lucky enough to find the King and goblin at Target. I put the Kings crown, head and cape on the kingdoms king and he looks fantastic! I think it's fair to expect that the next castle theme will use some of these parts and will be cooler because of it.
  9. Found a picked-over display at Target in Fort Worth, TX. Even though there were less than a dozen left I was still able to get the King, two goblins (these are the figs I wanted most) and a unicorn girl, which was top on my daughters list. Edit: price was $3.99
  10. It's with that in mind that I lament that the elves theme ended up being a minidoll theme. There's a ton of potential in a non-licensed fantasy elf theme. Just look to the often mentioned Boudon designs. http://thebrickblogger.com/2013/07/lego-minifigs-by-alexandre-boudon/
  11. Finally! Thanks for the update. :)
  12. From what I've seen, this game only works with a windows PC, which I don't have. Is that right?
  13. Yeah, while that is very possible, I don't think we can count on a wiki entry for accurate, official facts.
  14. The ghost is just so perfect! That's another definite buy for me if only it were real.
  15. Very nice. Much more substantial looking than the original set. MODs are one of my favorite kinds of building, making a set better than it's price point will allow at retail.
  16. They also have changed the standard sword. Not a lot, but still a completely new mold. I personally can't wait for new castle factions with the new shield. Fingers crossed that the heraldry will be good. (Better than Castle 2013).
  17. Unpin, let nature take its course. I think it'd be a shame if it were locked.
  18. That terracotta soldier would definitely be coming home with me if it were real. Several would, actually.
  19. That elves set is awesome. Swap out some colors and that is ready to fit in really nicely with castle/middle earth stuff.
  20. Some MODs and MOCs I've built. Here's a link to more pics: http://s40.photobuck...s?sort=3&page=1 First up is a MOD of this year's 31024 Creator set: A Ferrari-ish MOC I worked up: A Lamborghini-ish entry: This is one of my favorites, based on the 31006 Highway Speedster basic architecture, but substantially modified: Lastly, a more straight forward MOD/Recolor of 31006:
  21. These are great! Really nice custom stuff. Can't wait to see what else you come up with.
  22. I have the real deal version of this car, so I didn't need much in the way of reference photos. Pretty much have this car's details memorized. I think it's a decent representation of an early fastback. Some stickers for the vents in the roof would probably finish it off. I added the '67-'68 style hood with stripes just for fun, so that's a bit anachronistic, but I think it looks good so there you have it. Let me know what y'all think. I'll go ahead and include a pic of my car for reference.
  23. Beautiful work! The cross section aesthetic is really working on this. Lots of great details too.
  24. Your reviews are always great, but this is the best ever! Such a great series, and I'm pleased to see the distribution of figs per box is good. People will be army building goblins for sure.
