Looks good! The only thing that I would change is to move the lights from the first floor down to the ground floor. Is there an interior? (Looks like it from this single image, but no Brickshelf images yet)

I would never have thought technic and house, but there are some great features here, like the stairs and the angled walls. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome 3D poster! The change in colour of the water is really effective.

This would be good! -
This is really nicely done! Only one suggestion - maybe replace some of the reddish brown floor tiles on the ground floor with black ones? I think the floor wouldn't have fared so well given the extensive structural damage to the ground floor!

This is a really sweet MOC! You can see why the minifigures look as happy as they do.

Nice! I like the broken downpipe and how you have recessed and angled the entrance.

Very nice, with lots of great details to be found amongst the grey-ness!

Pure awesome-ness, both in the idea and the execution.

Looks great so far!

Thanks for the update, castor-troy. I always love looking at your layout, even it makes me more than just a little envious! The changes look great. I really like what you have done with the theatre, especially the changes to the centre part at the roof line. Making this more prominent, in addition to the smaller changes like the use of the brick bricks for trims and change of trim colour from dark red to tan, makes this building that much grander! I also like the new glass awning on the antique shop.

Congratulations to all the winners!

Beach house and smoothie bar sounds good! Not sure what to expect for the mission at the beach.

This is so gorgeous!! Love the roof!

The first image just blew me away! Absolutely stunning. The individual buildings look great, too. I particularly like the wavy pattern of the balconies on the building in the last picture

This looks great! The tan trims you've added work really well with the grey and dark red.

Looking great so far! I love the details in the kitchen, particularly the crammed pantry and the pot with the veggies, as it reminds me of the homemade vegetable soup my Mum used to make.

These are great! The minifig one is the cutest, but I can't decide between the classic red/white and the hippie version.
-
The changes you've made look great! I especially like the new overhanging balcony and the trim above the front door, both of which add more depth to the facade. I was considering blogging the original version of this, but it's now a no-brainer.

Thanks! No worries. 'Kristel' is an unusual spelling everywhere except for Belgium (where I was born), so I am used to getting all sorts of variations! It won't come to selling my kidneys - there are other little luxuries I'll give up before I do that! Your story reminds me of my uni days, when I had a thousand and one ways of having sausages and mince because that was the only meat we could afford! Note to all the younger readers: Don't get married while still studying at uni, no matter how much you are in love. Live with, and sponge off, your parents as long as you can!
