This is great! I love the cheese slope trims under the windows and those scissors are just awesome!
-
Definitely better with the door! The lamp post doesn't seem as dominant anymore and more of the eye is drawn toward the nice building!

This is great! So much better than a silly little cushion!

This is neat and I like the concept you are proposing. I do agree with Sarles, though, that the lamp seems to dominate. It overshadows the building, which has a really nice facade. I think a door in place of the centre window would be good. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these modules.

Thanks for the entertaining review! I was also unsure of the fawn until I saw it in real life. I don't know what it is, but there is something really cute about it that just isn't being captured by any of the shots that I've seen.

This is awesome! I love the concept of having a museum in a tower like this and you've executed it really nicely. I love all the details, like the gears for the clock, the final wooden staircase and the display cabinet for the swords.

This is a great project! I'm looking forward to seeing the final street shots.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you liked it! I take a lot of inspiration from real buildings, and try to make my buildings look like something you would see walking down the street in New York (in this case). It's nice to hear you say that it feels very real, as this is what I want to create. Having enough space for double walls is definitely one of the benefits of a 32-stud wide building. Does make it very heavy though! Thanks!

This is great! I particularly like the front entrances and the interior of the ground floor. I also like how you've presented it from Indiana Jones' perspective. It fits in nicely between the Fire brigade and Town Hall, too. Well done!

Oh, this is very exciting! I can't wait to see the pictures.

Mafia After Dark - Conclusion: City of Gods
Kristel replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I said to Peanuts in PM that I was sure you would flip scum because of this very statement. I thought it was BS, but we ended using it anyway (Hinckley's idea). It was a process of elimination, with the limited information I had - that's why it was so late in Night 1 before I contacted you. Anyone very active / too loud / happy to poke was off the list because they would be unlikely to have a PR. Colin, Dexter and Penelope were ruled out early on because of things they said that made me put a question mark next to their names. Anyway, it came down to you and Pandora. This is going to come out sounding wrong, but I essentially thought I would have a harder time reading Pandora than you. -
Mafia After Dark - Conclusion: City of Gods

I hated having to lie to you (and desperately wanted to apologise as soon as I had done it), but I felt a little better about it when you turned up scum. For some reason I don't mind the lying when I am scum, but townies aren't supposed to lie. It was the back and forth between you and mostlytechnic in-thread towards the end that threw me off. Once I thought mostlytechnic might be town, it was easier to read scumminess in what Pala had said. At the end, Pala appealed to me via PM but pretty much just attacked Priscilla in the thread. Pala mentioned that he had tried to help town, but didn't show how, whereas mostlytechnic did. I had PM'd Peanuts about both of us changing our vote to Priscilla to get her off her butt and respond - I wanted to see how mostlytechnic would react to being voted for. The intention was to change back before the end of the night. Unfortunately, timezones meant that we weren't able to coordinate so well and only Peanuts did so in the end. I don't know if things would have been different if mostlytechnic had three votes. Mostlytechnic, why did you go for me for the final kill? We agreed Peanuts should protect himself because we thought you might think he can't protect himself. Yes I did. I had ruled out you being scum earlier because of the role you played in lynching def, but I hadn't fully ruled out SK. Once, I was in PM with you, the main things that made me think you were independent were: When we were talking about who to kill, I got the sense that you weren't particularly fussed who we killed, as long as there was a kill. Telling me it wasn't important whether Cecilie changed her vote or not didn't make sense - it wasn't important to us, but it was in terms of what the scum thought. Also, the way you asked for protection was selfish, with no consideration or discussion of the options. Peanuts, sorry for not trusting you until right at the end. It was just so convenient to claim protector, I didn't really think I could have gotten that lucky, and I wondered what the hell you were doing trusting me with that information so early on. Apologies to Shadows, also. I picked you to talk to because you hinted at being the watcher. It's a shame we ended up arguing in the PMs, as it led to me revealing my role in the thread and the whole debacle around the Dog and him getting lynched. But I don't think that would have affected whether or not you were killed. Tammo, did the investigator role get passed on to another vanilla townie when Shadows was killed? -
Mafia After Dark - Conclusion: City of Gods

So excited when I saw "conclusion" in the title, and then the big let down. My apologies to the Malones for all the bad calls I made. Congrats to the scum team. Well played! A big thank you to Tammo for being an awesome host. I had a blast! -
Mafia After Dark - Night 7: The Godfather - Part III

Penelope has raised some good points against Priscilla and has also made an interesting appeal to emotion to me via PM. Priscilla, I'd like your views on why I shouldn't change my vote over to you. -
Mafia After Dark - Night 7: The Godfather - Part III
Kristel replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Vote: Penelope Talbott (Palathadric) I started the day out trying to pick the more scummier looking between you and Priscilla. I think a townie would have made the effort to come in and say "yay for town" at some point before voting opened, without needing a prompt to do so. It looks like you're the only one not happy with the results that were revealed at the start of the night. -

I won't be voting for Peter, so it's actually between you and Pala. *Also known as Penelope -

My turn for an audible sigh of relief. Colin wanted protection for himself. The right decision was made. -

The scum kill usually comes through around midday, which suggests that there may not be one again. -

I just want to confirm that this is what happened. Where's Peter today? -
Thanks, Vincent. I tend to forget the minifigures - you can see a couple of mugs in the courtyard that are supposed to have customers and I also forgot to put someone behind the counter! Thanks, Rick, both for the kind words and the front page. It really means a lot to me. Thanks for nice comments, guys! I'm glad you like it. Seriously blushing now. Thanks Andy!

Very impressive indeed! Nice to see the Friends animals in there too!

This is fantastic! The facade is really great, particularly how you've represented the lower half. The apartment is also packed with great details, my favourites being the breakfast bar and the deck chair on the balcony. It's hard to believe this is your first MOC modular building. I'm looking forward to seeing more like this!

I can understand why you don't like Colin, but surely you don't hate your little sister? -
Thanks, ReflectioN. I'm working on doing up the instructions, so stayed tuned! Thanks Svad!
