  1. Looks great indeed! Will be looking forward for more! :)
  2. To be fair, I do infact think that Maxim "indirectly" did this already, explicitly stating that he assumed those were part of La Sombra. I would have to go back and check though, but that sounds an awful lot like... WØRK!
  3. If the MCTC makes a serious donation to the Royal Society, I will ask no further compensation.
  4. Let's all calm down for now. I am certain Capt Wolf or Garmadon will pass this on to the Brethren Courts if you ask, and we can have a decision. I really see no reason why it can't belong to La Sombra. Otherwise, make a small geological build establishing that it is rightfully part of La Sombra! :)
  5. Pff, Lego OBVIOUSLY made Corlander and Olean uniforms in anticipation of the greatness of BoBS! :D
  6. But we are working on it! As you know, everyone not green is just waiting for you profiteering republicans to decide a war is in your economical interest!
  7. I believe this was one of the fortresses there "pre-BoBS" so to speak. Remember, Nova Terreli was already established when the rest of us came here. So even though I wouldn't think it below those pesky greenies, I actually do not think they have been bending any rules in THIS particular case.
  8. We are sorry to disappoint, but we have evaluated the long term consequences of allowing microships to be licensed, and decided against it.
  9. @Maxim I: Stop usurping territory and start ensuring me my monthly income from my investment in Trador!
  10. @Umbra-Manis I think you hull is looking really good. I like the idea of "fake" gunports for a trade ship, and the tumblehome of her sides is pretty good. A few suggestions. I would make the masts thinner, and taller. Right now, they seem a bit sqaut. Secondly, I would rework the stern and cabin, as it currently is very tall and blocky. As to rigging, I would suggest looking up a real ship for some general ideas, for instance a brig or schooner, or perhaps a xebec, depending on the kind of rig you are looking for. I find that a real world reference vessel is a good way to get some proportions right, even if you are not going for completely replicating it. Looking good so far - will be looking forward to seeing more. As to rating, I would say class 3 or 4 trade. :)

  12. Thanks, Kai. I like the subdued colourscheme of the dark red as an accent to the reddish brown. As CB4 said elsewhere, the curve of the hull isn't completely perfect, but I am quite happy with it. She does seem to lie pretty high in the water, though! As to the turrets, I am pretty sure I stole them from @Capt Wolf or @Sir Stig, but I couldn't find the original moc, and then forgot to credit them... Thank you, Elos, I am particularly happy you like my rockwork, as that is most definitely one of my... less strong sides. Good to hear you like the yacht too. As to the waves, I took particular care to place the blue and white trans bricks entirely randomly, to avoid any patterns. Of course you are right, some breakage of waves around hull would have been good. And Montoya is not a man of war, so he will be glad to leave you guys to it. I hear rumours Fontonajo is against this war too?! Well, anyways, he has given you a field hospital, and can now in good conscience leave you to your war. Re: Licensing, see below to Capt. Wolf's comment. Thanks! As I said, I stole those towers somewhere... :P And I bought those bricks for this exact purpose, so you may well expect to see them used again. I am thinking they might also be useful for the quarter galleries of a large ship. The yacht - it is a really intriguing technique, but also quit hard to accomplish the right curves. Takes some experimentation, and this surely isn't my last attempt. CB4's frigate is a much more beautiful example than this tiny yacht. :D Thank you, Kwatchi. I am particularly happy you mention the story, something which I think we should try to place a higher emphasis on in BoBS in general. I think the water turned out nicely too, and the angled pier was a fun detail to construct. :) Happy you like it, Wolf - perhaps you can confirm whether I stole those turrets from you? :P In case of licensing, I will most definitely prefer to license it myself, unless offered sufficient compensation! Commercial should work, it being a dock. You may also consider the Field Hospital a non-licensable build related to Fuerte Unido, by the way. (For those sweet 2 dbs in trade value! ;) ) Thanks, Ayrlego! I agree that the composition overall came out very well, without the details suffering (too much...). It is one of those builds that come out better than expected. :) I might license her, but have already 6 vessels licensed, so the next will be very expensive! :P And only individuals and trade companies may license ships, as per the rules. However, with new ship rules underway, things may change. For now, she will just be a story implement. And I think she is more suited for the scientific expedition of Allcock than the military one of Howe. :)
  13. Obviously, they are troops of Oleon!
  14. Nice little residence, Brandon. I can see how it would fit well in besides the printers shop! And the profile bricks gives this one a bit more character to the facade than your printer. Suggestions could be to add a desk, chair, fireplace or something along those lines on the lower floor, and perhaps some crates and stuff to the attic, just to give it that lived in look. Otherwise, nice work. Will be looking forward to seeing further adventures of the Ladros family!

  16. I am loving the dark adventures of the Dark Bishop, Kwatchi. To me, it has just the right mix between the supernatural and the realistic, perfect for the stuff of myths! The rockwork in this moc is great, and I am loving the way you use light to set the mood. Remind me not to sign up for the Dark Bishop's crew, though!
  17. Some cases must set precedence!
  18. @Legostone: The courts have convened and have decided against generally allowing microships to be licensed. However, we may in the future introduce "sistershipping builds" (A form of MRCA result builds to allow for sistershipping a vessel), in which builds like these would be very fitting.
  19. @Legostone: I've got a nice book with reference material, full of pictures like this: My only concern is how well it will transfer to lego! :P I would like to have similar strength in my topmasts as in my lower masts, but that will put some strain on futtock shrouds, topmast stays, and backstays. And the constitution solution might prove relevant, should fixing them to the shrouds itself not suffice. @kurigan: I might do something like that on my next vessel, but for this one, the lower masts are outside creative reach. Fixed and set! :)
