  1. Looks absolutely stunning, and I can't wait to see it together with the rest. One thing though. It strikes me as a bit "cartoon-'ish" compared to the rest. Bregir
  2. Lovely - I like the idea of using easily accessible combinations. Good work
  3. This looks absolutely amazing. Good work
  4. Let's just say I agree with all the above! :) Great work!
  5. Hi again Another set of my late childhood creations made to bolster the military capability of LEGO City's armed forces. I tried to give them a little life with an assault-like setting, but it's just for the fun of it ;) Here you go: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Bregir/LEGO-army/img_1511.jpg From left to right there is a (caricature) Tiger Tank, a (caricature) AAV7A1, a flakvierling inspired AA-gun, another Main Battle Tank and an armoured car. The "Tiger" is definitely my favourite, but I wonder what the experts think? They were all build years ago (yes, I am exiting my dark ages these days...) and I wasn't trying to hard to make them realistic back then - it was more important to have a fun build and a playable toy. Many battles were fought on the living-room floor - I really miss those days ;) However, criticism is welcome (constructive, of course ;) ) Here is a top view: Sadly, I didn't have time to take picture of them induvidually, but they aren't that special anyway. I do find there are some nice details, though :) Bregir out
  6. First of all, thanks for your replies :) This aircraft's main function was to swooshable :P It was made for play - so it is a little basic in terms of detailing. Secondly, I am sadly away from my LEGO this time - I only had a short visit to the sacred halls last week and thought I would take some pics to share. Point being - sadly I can't make any immediate improvements, but I that doesn't mean I am not listening ;) I like the idea of detailing the engine more, and the plane in general, including the cockpit. Tiles on the wings may give a good visual effect, but I fear it would also make the wings look too heavy and thick. About the wheels... Well, that is more a question of availability than choice - I definitely see your point! To be honest, I seem to remember I was trying to base it on a ME109(From my mental), which is probably only visible in the crude lines. Of course, a ME109 wouldn't really have the sloping part behind the cockpit... No matter - I am happy you like it and that you have some good ideas. It is one of my favourite childhood builds :) It has been in a lot of succesful dogfights... ;) Bregir
  7. Oh, ok - so the pictures I link to should still be of a smaller size? Forgive me, I am new to this :)
  8. Hi all This is a creation from many years back that survived through the times. It was modelled freely after a WWII fighter, although I am not sure it shows which one. The colours are a bit off, but I think they work reasonably well. Comments welcome :) The plane alone: Getting ready for take off: Bregir out
  9. Thank you for your thoughts. About the palisade pieces, I definitely see where you are coming from. It was mainly a test, and I find it does give a nice texture to the walls. I think I see the house as something really old that has been modernised on the inside and allowed to stand amongst the newer buildings, but vertical beams might not be the answer... :) The blue for the windows - well - I am limited in my choice of windows, sadly, especially those of older types. The yellow of the roof - well, I am thinking something like a guilding. (Not quiet the word I am looking for...) Some sort of ornament that also serves the purpose of form the top of the roof. But as said above, its mainly an experiment :)
  10. B-RM-6A Hi all Not so long ago, I fell over the modular buildings, which reignited my love for LEGO's. Now I finally got around to post some of my creations. This is my first try at a 16x32 modular. I could only figure out how to attach a single photo, but I hope it gives a general idea. Its basically an old town house, but built without a specific goal in mind. It was mainly e test of some different techniques and to see how it would look. It has no interior apart from a staircase to the first floor. Front view: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Bregir/Modulars/img_1514.jpg Back view: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Bregir/Modulars/img_1515.jpg Together with the others. I find it fits in better than I thought it would. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Bregir/Modulars/img_1496.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Bregir/Modulars/img_1498.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Bregir/Modulars/img_1502.jpg Constructive criticism is welcome. Bregir PS. What do you guys do to put more pictures in your posts? Edited to deeplink pics.
  11. Just wonderful - I really like all the details inside and out. Especially the spiral stair! BRgds Bregir
