    MOC: Suburb

Excellant work! You've managed to get so much detail and interesting things into the modules. I like the Water tower, the outside toilet, the interior of the Gas Station, the brick built road, the jungle,... etc. And if the Red Box on your map represents only 5% of the total build you're going to attempting then I can't wait to see what you've got in store for us. Thanks for sharing it with us!
  2. Result! Enjoy building it...
  3. First, check the contents of the Box and make sure everything is included. The talk to Tesco Direct on 0845 600 4411. Make them aware of the situation. They've probably outsourced the delivery to a Fulfillment House. The more issues that get reported back to Tesco the more likely the problem is going to be fixed going forward. But that doesn't solve your issue. Make them aware that you're very dissatisfied and ask them what are they going to do about it. Whatever they come up with (Good or bad) publicize that on social media/forums. If you're not happy then ask to speak to a Supervisor. Good luck!
  4. When your wife asks "How many pieces of Lego do you have in here, anyway?" And you answer "Have a guess" And she replies with a number AN ORDER OF MAGNITUDE LOWER THAN WHAT IT ACTUALLY IS And you say with a wobbly voice "That's p-r-e-t-t-y close." And then you rapidly change the topic....
  5. I've seen some amazing gigs; The Buzzcocks and The Stranglers in '78, Apollo 440 in Canada, and Kraftwerk on their Computer Love tour. But the best gig I ever experienced, by far, no contest was the epic Pop Will Eat Itself at the Brixton Academy in London. It was a high octane, non-stop, wall-of-sound, glorious, glorious fun! Can U Dig It?
  6. I don't know the answer, but this forum should be able to help you: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showforum=128
  7. Ha! Ha! Excellant creation. There's so much to enjoy.
  8. I like it a lot! My favorite parts are the Fishing pond, the jaunty angle of the main house and those Sunflowers. It's definitely a lush, green place. That being said the man in front of the barbeque probably needs to put on some clothes though!
  9. Tedbeard, thanks. I should have realized that myself (smacks head hard on desk). Chris
  10. I'm in a quandary. My Modular City is ever expanding, but it's without streets. I quite like the current Road Plates, but TLG's approach of mixing a T junction and a Curved plate or a Straight and a Crossroad is going to give me a bunch of Road Plates that I'm not going to be using. I'm leaning towards brick building the Streets, but that's going to be costly, but it'll allow me to build precisely what I want (although I haven't yet seen a brick built Curve that looks effective). If TLG changed their packaging options for Road Plates to give 2,3, or 5 Straights in one pack then this would be a very easy decision to make.
  11. There's a lovely shape to it and those exhaust/mufflers are a neat touch! I'm definitely liking these 5-wide vehicles.
  12. Thanks for all the comments - they really are appreciated. The truth is that I'd run out of 2x2 tiles for the sidewalk and had to improvise by using a 2x2 plate and the manhole cover. And I couldn't resist the Olympic Swimmer - I was trying to do the naked Singing Cowboy of Times Square, but I got some Limey with a Beatbox instead
  13. I decided that what my ever expanding Modular City needed was a Subway. I'll get around to building the Platforms, Escalators and Tracks later. So I started by building a Subway Entrance to act as a Corner Modular in the Entertainment District part of my town. Here's the Top view: There are entrance's from both sides of the building and the Corporate Railway colours of Yellow and Blue are liberally splashed over the walls. Here's a view from one side: And a view from the Front: Here's some more images... Ticket machine to the Right in the Entrance Lobby (based on a design from www.brickbuilderspro.com), Tunnels leading to the Platforms in the Center and lost London 2012 Olympic Swimmer with Beat Box to the Left. The Roof is detachable so that you can access the Station Master's office on the second floor. He uses a bunch of different technologies: Rush Hour! And what Station entrance isn't complete without a broken down Bike chained to a Lamp-post? (the Fly looks bemused) I hope you like it and would appreciate any comments, criticisms, or suggestions!
  14. Personally I like to think that my Lego Train network is run along the same lines and professionalism as "Oh, Mr. Porter!" This, if you haven't seen it, is a classic Black and White 1937 movie from the UK starring Will Hay, Moore Marriot. It's available to d/l or watch at the site below. http://archive.org/details/Oh_Mr.Porter_1937 Highly recommended!
  15. Nice SNOT-work on the sides and rear. And I like the approach you've used for the running boards and for the exhaust/muffler. It looks great!
  16. I washed 25 lbs of second hand used Lego in a bag in the Washing Machine. 30 degrees/Delicates/No spin dry. They came out clean and fresh smelling! Now to wait for them to air dry and then I can begin to sort them
  17. Getting ready for the Tour de France!

  18. You've done a great job of capturing the look and feel of a real-life place. As LT12V stated the roof looks just right. I think my favourite details are in the parking lot. The low tan wall, the steps and the passengers hurrying to meet their train. Good luck at Brickworld and thanks for sharing it with us!
  19. I like the use of binoculars as exhaust pipes and the back end looks perfect. Heck the entire vehicle is charming! Thanks for sharing it with us!
  20. I like the way you've combatted suburban sprawl by going vertical! BTW the MOC itself looks looks fantastic with great colour combo
  21. Great looking VIG of a laughably bad scene of a good movie. Thanks for sharing it with us!
  22. it's superb! And epic! And it goes round! Thank you for sharing it with us!
  23. I love the BL site and use it (probably too) frequently and although the Jezek family have done a good job of maintaining the site over the last couple of years, it desperately needs a facelift and an overhaul. Will all the changes be positive? Maybe, maybe not, but overall I think it's a going to be a good thing.
  24. Those moving fans are a great addition. Looks great!
  25. I like the front spiral staircase surrounded by all that glass. Very impressive - although I'm not sure about the security/privacy aspects of carrying all that bullion and goodies up two flights of stairs in full view of the general public (but that's why we need all those Lego Police Stations) Joking apart it does look impressive and thanks for sharing it with us!
