  1. I completely agree with this strategy, but rather than have dedicated boxes I use a slight variation. When I'm building or destroying MOCs or receiving BL orders my Lego reserves will build up or decrease. As one particular class (e.g. 1 x plates bigger than 1 x 2) gets too big I'll move it to a larger box. As reserves get used I'll move the remaining pieces to a smaller box. They're all kept in the same relative position to my workbench so I know where they, but the actual boxes will change through time. And if I get to a point where I've got sufficient 1 x 1 tiles to warrant a new box then I'll sub them out of the generic 1 x 1 small pieces box. It's a system that works well for me (you mileage may vary)
  2. 1 point for Quazara Angelata 1 point for Marshall Boyle 1 point for Prometheus Great job everyone!
  3. 1 point for Hector Steelson XL 1 point for Alex Acidicus 1 point for Torvax Congratulations to all the builders!
  4. 1 point for Gorroz Spider 1 point for Felix 1 point for Koboldon ...and that concludes the voting from Missouri
  5. Creative use of cannons for the chimneys. What a great looking roof!
  6. Great job on the ship and especially the sea. They both look fantastic. ...and I think such an epic build deserved an epic finale so I support your decision to smash them up.
  7. I like the uneven brickwork and the occasional defect in the side walls, but maybe the roof looks too clean and perfect in comparison. Perhaps you could scuzzy it up a bit by making the tiles more uneven. Interesting idea and nicely executed. Well done! Thanks for sharing it with us.
  8. Looking good! I think with some interior LEDs these could look spectacular. Congratulations.
  9. There's so many good ideas floating around that this thread definitely needs a Poll with options. Then we could vote on which option we prefer. .....and we're also going to need a live stream of jluckhaupt's announcement to his wife.
  10. Nicely done Wedge! It looks ruined!
  11. As a theme I think the Modulars are fantastic. Each one has it's own quirks and merits, and they look great individually, standing alone. But when you see them together they are amazing. Congratulations to anyone who has managed to complete the full set, bricklink a CC, or build a series of MOCs to compliment the series....
  12. Looks good! Share the secret.
  13. I'm ambivalent on the colours they use. I'm way more interested in some new building techniques they might incorporate!
  14. 49 weeks to go before the next Tour de France!

  15. Excellent job! You've got to post pictures of your Palace Theatre with these in place (but not until after your birthday).
  16. The cactus is superb and the clean lines of the container deserve praise too. Thanks for sharing it with us!
  17. This looks amazing and the interior is stunning. I really like the kitchen with the attention to details there - and I love how you fitted the fridge under the stairs. Nice detail. The bedroom looks clean and elegant - no dust bunnies under that bed. The only thing I was going to mention as I was looking at this was the small wasted space on the upper floor, but then I realised I was critiquing it as a real house and not just a brilliant creation. Fantastic job!
  18. Scenery? Ballast? and your first Train MOC? Wow, it looks just like a utilitarian European passenger train - even down to the color scheme you've used. A great addition to any Lego town.
  19. Nice job. The 'dozer is really effective.
  20. Excellent MOC! Love the facade, but it's the interior that is fantastically detailed. There's so much to enjoy. I particularly like the kitchen, the textured rug in the living room, The L shaped sofa, the bureau, the bunkbeds and the shower. Great job, but blimey, I saw this and immediately though of an area in Leicester, UK ! https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Victoria+Street,+Leicester,+United+Kingdom&hl=en&ll=52.62491,-1.114597&spn=0.011072,0.065961&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=63.897228,135.087891&oq=vivtoria+park+leices&hnear=Victoria+St,+Thurmaston,+Leicester,+United+Kingdom&t=m&z=15&layer=c&cbll=52.624911,-1.114584&panoid=gLwexe22Jmx46wnrLtfW1w&cbp=11,195.97,,0,-5.54
  21. The original was good, but the extra width definitely enhances it.
  22. I never got a sense of the scale of the Palace in the original images, but it's obvious from this series of pictures how massive it is! This is even more fantastic than ever! The courtyard at the rear looks perfect. Congratulations.
  23. I think a string of a couple of these together would be a great addition to any Lego Town. It looks really good, but as you say may be a bit too tall - perhaps rather than dropping an entire Brick down you might consider just lowering by one or two plates. And maybe cutting out one row from the pinnacle on top as well would improve the lines. As for the roof - I confess that like the use of a destination board on the original lugnet one. Oh, and it's always good to see a Metroliner in the background!
