Do you have room for a Punch n' Judy Show? or a small fun fair?

Ha! Excellant version of that old technology. I went to the one in Edinburgh when I was a kid and I was captivated by it - you nailed it. You going to do anymore old timey stuff for us to enjoy? Thanks for sharing it with us!

[MOD] Supervillains during an economic depression

Excellent Modular Funhouse. There's so much to take in and enjoy. Thanks for sharing it with us! -
I like these and they remind me of Shotgun Shacks! And I think a row or two of these would look very effective in any City layout. Thanks for sharing it with us!

I'm flop-flopping on the question of re-releasing the extinct Modulars. Sure, I'd like to have to own the CC and GG but I can't see me ever paying the current after-market prices and if I BL them with cheaper substitute pieces then that seems as if I'd end up with a CC-lite or a fake GG. So, I'm for a 'Legend'-type re-release. But, on the other hand I think I'd want to see new Modulars instead. There's so many different types of buildings and contents that TLG could do with new techniques and pieces. So, 49% of me wants the 'Legends', 51% of me wants Brand new designs.

Crikey that's one stripy building! Seriously though I like it, it's got plenty of details in the facade and interior. There's a lot to enjoy, but I think I agree with greg3 regarding the first floor windows. Perhaps you could try adding another row of bricks at the bottom of that floor (so that it became an 8-row level rather than the current 7-row and the windows started at row 2). Either way I'll be queueing up tomorrow for fresh croissants and baguettes! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Now that's a good looking signal box! I think I prefer your stone and arch base - it's very effective. Mine got morphed into a Brewery/Pub (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=79480)

It's massive, but never seems to lose that minifig scale touch. There's detail everywhere and it looks fantastic! Applauso! Thank you for sharing it with us!

I moved (with my Lego) from the UK to Canada and then a couple of years later from Canada to the US. The assembled sets were packed up well in boxes with packing materials, then those were wrapped in paper then put in larger cardboard boxes. The loose bricks were zip-locked bagged I had not problem whatsoever. I would suggest doing a complete inventory.... Good luck and welcome to the US!

You definitely seem to have an arson problem in Ballabreek! But the Fire Service seems more than capable of handling the frequent burns. So, what do you have in mind for the Beach Shop? Jetski rentals?

That's a couple of fantastic looking MODs there! I think I prefer the 5-wide, although the boot line on the 6-wide looks perfect. Either size they're definitely a massive improvement on the stock Limo from the Palace Cinema.

Excellent job! There's a bunch of details to be enjoyed wherever you look in the pictures. I particularly like the Florists Shop - it's tucked away, but its a semi-hidden gem! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Wacky & Weird Locomotive Challenge - the Winners!
eurotrash replied to Electricsteam's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Category A 1. Hrw-Amen - 1 3. bjtpro - 3 (I love the idea of a Rotor blade on top of a Train) 7. dundarach - 1 Category B 12. UrbanErwin - 1 14. Electricsteam - 3 (bonkers technology!) 15. Locomotive Annie - 1 ...and that concludes the voting from Missouri -
Maybe they could do two a year by reissuing the older, no longer available ones together with new Modulars. That way TLG could benefit from the sustained demand for the older models (as they're not making anything at the moment on the Corner Cafe, Market Square, Green Grocer). Me, I'd welcome an opportunity to get any of those three at a realistic price....

Here's a link to a Popular Science article about how to classify Minifigs! http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2013-05/legos-organized-species-infographic POTC is missing from the list and I was wondering what else was awry....

Looks good! I particularly like the restaurant interior - you've managed to get a lot in there. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Good grief it's massive! I hesitate to guess the brick count (maybe 4000-5000?). There's so much to take in and enjoy. I particularly like the facade with greebling, but the interiors deserve extensive praise as well. And it has both Superman AND Batman - the criminals in your town don't stand a chance!

Would you mind indexing this one please? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=78159 Thanks!

Maybe there's another alternative to consider. Have you thought about doing two levels? One for the train track and one for the Modulars. It could look like a subway system/underground tracks together with a street level view. Or a street level view together with an elevated section. That would certainly reduce the width of the shelves requirements.... and it would give you enough space for Marshalling yards/Points/etc.

Luckily I used my Magic 8-ball and it said - quite definitively - to "Build all of them simultaneously from the roofs downwards". Yeah, I know the answer was surprisingly specific but there you go. The Universe has spoken.
-
I really like the use of those 1 x 6 x 5 panels for the roof - very ingenious and the snot sides are well done. Looks great and thanks for sharing it with us!
-
Jeesh! And what does your tagline state? "Get Organized and build more is my motto for 2013" I say grab the Magic 8-ball and see what the Universe has in mind....

I've been on a bit of a modular tear over the last twelve months and have built the four that you've now got waiting for you. They've all got merits and there's not a bad/dull build amongst them, but I think if you're going to want to build them in least -> most interesting build order I'd go with the Town Hall, the Palace Cinema, the Pet Shop, and finally the Fire Brigade. The Town Hall is a great building, but the sheer size of it makes it a bit repetitive - although there are some lovely detail work and the facade/Greek bits look sumptuous. The Palace Cinema has lots of interesting sub-builds - the entrance way/foyer is well designed, the vertical snot lettering is really effective and I love the roof, but I can't get over that poor limo (do yourself a favour and don't build it - just move the pieces straight to your spare bins). The Pet Shop has two separate buildings - again with some great details. There's a bit in the House building that literally made me laugh out loud when I realized what the designers had done (I won't spoil it for you and I'd suggest you don't read any reviews before you build). And finally the Fire Brigade - it's a good sized build with plenty of interior details in the kitchen area and a striking facade. Some of the techniques for the upper part of the FB's facade made me genuinely think that the Lego designers really know their stuff. What I would suggest is take your time over building them - don't rush through them. There's so much crammed into each of them that they deserve a slow contemplative build over a couple of evenings with a few beers.
