  1. Yes, I forgot to mention Divers and Paradisa which both are also great. But almost all mainstream Town branded sets released during those years were so simplified that I stopped buying them. I couldn't understand why they did it and I remember being shocked over the sudden change from awesome sets like 6335 Indy Transport released in 1996 (which is one of my favorite sets) to very simplified sets that I didn't like such as 6486 Fire Engine. The problem was that they replaced normal Town sets with Town Jr and therefore discontinued detailed sets and lost customers which in turn contributed to their financial problems in the late 90s.
  2. If Town is included the worst period was 1997 to 2000 with the junio rized sets (although the Res-Q, Extreme Team and Arctic subthemes were not junior ized and were very nice). All mainstream Town sets were strongly junior ized during those years. Otherwise it is the current period (2020-onwards) that is the worst with strange colors and cartoonish sets.
  3. I think that 60449 Off Road Police Car Chase symbolizes everything what's wrong with City today. The police vehicle looks like a spaceship and everything is too cartoonish.
  4. Thanks! I wanted to display some of my favorite sets in a special way and at the same time keep dust away. I got inspired after seeing the Eldorado Fortress displayed at Lego House.
  5. I have used it in smaller sections for my displays. I also really like it. I bought mine from a French Ebay store. I'll use more of it when I add new displays.
  6. This is very beautiful! I like how your builds are very detailed yet keeping that true Lego look. I use the same background poster as you have behind the ships for my Pirates display.
  7. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  8. The request comes from my M-Tron spaceport. They feel unsafe at the moment. Offensive capabilities and prison capacity will of course also be increased. Time to restore law and order in the galaxy!
  9. It is so nice to see all your fantastic Blacktron spaceships! Again I like the parts that you've used, a perfect mix of old and new pieces. With so many new Blacktron ships I have to upgrade the defenses of my Space Police base!
  10. Thanks for the information. I haven't played Lego Island since the late 90s. A friend of mine had it. This got me inspired to buy the game and play it again.
  11. The playable character "Gas Station Manager" from Lego City Undercover It is also one of my favorite Octan torsos but my very favorite is the white one with an Octan logo and text. It is indeed strange that blue Octan torso didn't appear in Lego Island.
  12. Why did they bring back and update the blue Octan torso several times with very minor details such as the "OIL" text in different styles but not the red and white equivalents? Don't get me wrong, I like the blue Octan torso very much and it appears in one of my favorite Town sets (6335 Indy Transport) but why only the blue one and not the others? Bricklink has seven different versions of it (some with promotional backprint). There is even a playable character in Lego City Undercover with this torso than I use when I play that game. According to Bricklink the torso has appeared between 1994 and 2016. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb4275c01&idColor=7#T=C&C=7 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb4274c01#T=C&C=7
  13. This style is my favorite when it comes to Space sets/MOCs. Amazing build!
  14. In general I prefer unlicensed themes but I would like if Lego made a licensed themes based on the Prince of Thieves Robin Hood movie, Hornblower TV series or Sharpe TV series.
  15. Great looking spaceship! I like how it looks and the ramp/stand with wheels is a very clever idea.
  16. Yes, the Titanic is a very nice set and a minifig scale Titanic would be super huge and super expensive.
  17. To design the Endurance ship from scratch was totally unnecessary. They could've just recolored Jabba's Sail Barge black and no one would've noticed.
  18. I really hope it is minifig scale. An Endurance scale ship would be so boring. All AFOLs I know prefer minifig scale and I guess kids also prefer minifig scale. Who actually wants endurance scale ships? Non AFOL adults that like the movies and still willing to buy a Lego set? I believe that's a very small group of people.
  19. I like all his City sets. I never knew that the same guy designed those sets. He should design more City sets.
  20. I like how you managed to build an extension that looks like an original part of the set.
  21. That canopy is also my favorite. Spyrius, Exploriens, UFO and Insectoids used it as well.
  22. Nice store and building. Do you have any pictures of all your custom modulars together?
  23. Yes, that's unfortunately true but some Ideas sets are based on existing themes and subthemes. Exo Suit (Classic Space), Barracuda Bay (Pirates), Medieval Blacksmith (Black Falcons) and Viking Village (Vikings). Barracuda Bay is even based on an existing set and minifig (Black Seas Barracuda and Captain Redbeard).
  24. I hope someone builds it with real bricks and post pictures of it. It looks great!
