  1. Also the same for me.
  2. I'm not 100% sure but I think it was in 1990 because Futuron was still available in toy stores together with Blacktron 1, Space Police 1 and M-Tron. My first sets were Futuron. In the early 2000s most new Lego sets and themes were really crappy but Lego was still my favorite toy thanks to Bricklink, the Legends sets and my existing collection. Back then I was also into Pokemon, military toys and Playmobil but never to the same extent as my interest in Lego. I remember being very disappointed with most new Lego sets and themes back then because of junior ization and the introduction of licensed themes. Of the themes released in the 00s I liked World City the most because of the trains but I preferred to buy 80s and 90s sets from Bricklink. Legends was also fantastic. I also liked the Pirates, Castle sets released in the late 00s. Worse quality (quality of plastic and color consistency is not as good as it used to be), worse instructions (really dark and made from crappy paper), great themes such as Space, Castle and Pirates have disappeared and have been replaces with subpar products and themes. Some of the production moving to dictatorships and authoritarian countries (Mainland China and Hungary) which is bad. NO!
  3. Those minifig torsos are different. I'm looking for the City Space torsos with the Futuron style uniform like the ones below
  4. Thanks for the information. I didn't know it was an exclusive set. I'll wait for them to show up on Pick a Brick.
  5. I can't find the minifigs or torsos for sale anywhere. I have checked Pick a Brick, Bricklink (only the orange one x1 available) and Ebay but they are not for sale on any of those sites. I want to buy the the green, azure and orange ones with Futuron style torsos. Why are they not for sale anywhere?
  6. I tried to make the minifig look as close to the original Futuron astronauts as possible. Therefore I used the trans blue visor because that is standard for all Futuron minifigs. I would've used green hands, helmet and air tanks if I had those pieces available in the correct green color. Thanks! Nice to hear that you liked them. 71487 is indeed a cool set.
  7. I think themes are very important for both unlicensed and licensed sets. Of the three themes mentioned I am only interested in City. The other two are great themes but for several reasons I have no interest in them personally. Grouping them together only because they are all unlicensed would be bad for marketing and clarity. Grouping together licensed themes would also be bad because Star Wars is vey different from Harry Potter or Gabby's Dollhouse.
  8. After seeing the pictures I have to say that it looks very good and the selection of minifigures is fantastic. The only negative thing is the brick built horses but that was expected. Now we need a full wave of retail Castle sets!
  9. I bought 71487 for the minifig which I have already made into a Futuron astronaut but I wanted to build something fun out of the parts. I decided to build a spaceship for the astronaut. While I was building the spaceship I saw a deer damaging my apple trees so I had to go outside and chase the deer away and that inspired me to build a side build based on the deer out of the remaining parts. What do you think about my spaceship and sci-fi deer? These builds include some parts that I wouldn't normally use when building Space stuff but sometimes it is fun to challenge oneself to build something out of a limited number of parts.
  10. I found the pictures and I like what I see. I'm so happy that the ghost is back!
  11. I only considered sets that are made from Lego Bricks, the panda even looks like a Galidor style action figure. If people would see only the panda very few would even guess it is Lego. It looks like some cheap knockoff toy sold at outdoor markets in developing countries.
  12. I'm no big fan of either theme but at least Time Cruisers had some sort of color scheme, gray-yellow-black for the good guys and blue-black for the bad guys. 71480 is possibly the worst Lego set ever. It is something about that set that irritates me extremely much. I even like most licensed sets and Jack Stone more.
  13. Blackadder is a fantastic series. I like it very much. I even bought a DVD box with all seasons recently. When I was 9 or 10 I built the Blackadder castle and the characters from my Castle bricks and minifigs. I watched Blackadder for the first time as a rerun in the mid 90s.
  14. I think it is a great set and that you should buy it. The overall look is the same as the original but besides size there are some differences. The mid section of the new Renegade has a large visible vehicle that can be detached. The new Renegade uses slightly more yellow than the original. The new Renegade has a small detachable spaceship on each wing that also function as a brick built Blacktron logo.
  15. I prefer period correct pieces in good condition but if they are too yellowed I replace them with new ones if they look the same. When I need rope for sets I buy stuff like this from Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/256836332263?_skw=lego+rope&itmmeta=01JRQBQK8D4ZXN32BX84J2C669&hash=item3bcca36ae7:g:-zwAAOSwyNBeQnAc&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAAwFkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1fQaRF03YNv04TUzKzla4lsfDb6WyPCFg6Bz%2FwtJ2ieIVqIRnMlLmdyNr9g0qMoQgRtLkmHTIOys8oRX5lsYz1KJQuNkIHl%2FPb7iXFg48H4stXAQDCskDbqeoJlueTUuYeU4MuXZC%2FOIMaPA%2FMqyYapR%2F2UkF6hX4Zs%2BnNoljK%2BOmifkfr1GzmoJZKhALvK8vqFPMf%2F%2BfvImC%2BfObp7U5JE5Z2g1%2F2fok6jW7DOSXanYA%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR6q03uvFZQ When I need lots of rope for ship MOCs I use a type of string that I bought in a fishing goods store. This is what I use https://www.vildmarkskallare.se/en/fishing/210d-18-160m-100g-210d-18-160m-100g/p/8854445918145/ This is an old picture from a pirates comic I made a long time ago where the fishing goods store rope is visible. It looks like the Lego rope but is a bit more plastic. I
  16. I want the sets to look as new as possible. When it comes to plastic pieces they must be original and made by Lego but sails, stickers and rope can be reproductions if no original new/high quality option is available. It is very interesting that we all have our own standards and preferences when it comes to restoring old sets. I have one question for you, just out of curiosity. If you had to choose between two large Imperial Soldier flags for a build from an old idea book would you choose the new and in perfect condition one from the new Eldorado Fortress or the original flag but yellowed and with some scratches? I had to choose between those two and in the picture you can see which one I used. It was a difficult choice.
  17. I understand. I will not sell my sets so I don't have to worry about that. If given the choice I would rather buy original stickers but then they must be in new condition. For the Indy Transport no new sticker sheet is available and I don't fell comfortable buying used stickers even if they are attached to bricks because I never know exactly what the condition is and they are very hard to find (only four stickered parts are available for the side sticker from Indy Transport), if I want all stickers for a set it will both be expensive and difficult to order them as stickered parts because few sellers have them all. I only buy used original stickers when I buy a used set and the stickers are included and mentioned to be in good condition. If I buy a used set in good condition with no stickers I prefer to buy replica stickers.
  18. I think it is a good thing that the 2025 Renegade is a bit different than the original Renegade because I plan to buy the original. When Blacktron 1 was available in stores I didn't even know about the Renegade because it wasn't available in Europe. At first I found out about it around the year 2000 when I discovered LUGNET. I saw the original in real life last year at the Lego House and it looks amazing. If someone likes the the new Renegade or not is of course depending on individual preferences regarding design and colors. Telling someone that if they don't like a set they don't understand Lego at all is wrong and unnecessary.
  19. I bought stickers for my original Indy Transport I had as a kid and wanted to restore. One of the original stickers was still in place and the new ones are of the same material. The set is slightly yellowed because I played with it a lot and had it on my desk and therefore the new stickers looks to be very white. I buy stickers very seldom and in small quantities so I have never thought about price that much but because of the quality of the Fortuna Luna stickers they were well worth the money.
  20. I can recommend Fortuna Luna Print from Ebay. They are based in Austria. I have ordered from them and the stickers are very high quality. https://www.ebay.com/str/fortunalunaprint
  21. That was very clear English. You can't say it any clearer than that.
  22. It is a fantastic set and very fun to build. I like how it looks and if you like Blacktron and 80s and 90s Space it is a must have. Buy it! Buy it now!
  23. That would be great. It could even be tied to a new theme like Romans vs Egyptians or something similar. The CMFs (and theme) could be called "Great Civilizations" and could include Romans, ancient Asian cultures, Native American tribes, Vikings, Mayans, Egyptians, etc. It would include cultures that existed before the Middle Ages.
  24. Nice! I like the design and color scheme.
  25. That one was extra cruel because they stole Lego meant for kids in hospital.
