LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
SpacePolice89 replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Thanks! Yes, the Space Police CMF could easily be converted into a black Futuron astronaut. I also bought the Space minifigs from series 26 for the parts. I changed the Blacktron II one the most. After I took the picture I changed the helmet of the Blacktron II astronaut to a normal one. Because they are still very inexpensive I've bought several of each faction and changed them all in the same way as in the picture. They look so much better with trans neon green and orange. -
Lego magnets with minifig motif

Thanks for the information. The four that I have seems to be the only ones of this style. -
I bought these in Legoland Billund in 2001. It says "1998 Lego Group" on the magnets. Are there more of these?

Why were some sets region specific?

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

This morning I suddenly started thinking about yellow helmets when I saw some Unitron minifigs on my shelf. I had to check every set they appeared in on Bricklink and thought they haven't been made in a while. Then I read your post here on Eurobricks. Good that they'll be available again. -

As a kid I had some small North American catalogs I got from sets that my Canadian relatives gave to me when they visited. This way I found out about Dark Forest and the rest of the Unitron sets. -

Please don't. I found your website very useful. I found all my pictures and folders there (except two that didn't work). You did a great job and it is very much needed! I can even use your website to link pictures here. -

In my old Swedish and Finnish catalogs from the period it is also not present and as a kid I didn't even know it existed. I guess it was also available in Canada and Mexico. -

Was it ever available in Europe? I can't remember seeing it in any store or catalog as a kid. -
It is like Don Quixote and the windmills.

I recently bought 1843 Space/Castle Value Pack and at the same time completed my Spyrius collection. Both sets are actually very nice. The spaceship may look a little weird in some pictures but when I picked it up it felt very swooshable. The catapult works as intended and is good for both display and play. Some of my NA exclusive sets I have ordered from the US or Canada but this one I managed to find in a German Ebay store. The instructions turned out to be in excellent condition It is interesting to see that some of the parts were made at the now defunct Enfield factory and also packaged there. Yes, that's unfortunately true. Even if Lego and the other companies are right a corrupt court can disregard the law. Fortunately many parts of the system are still working but I'm still very worried about the future. This is how it started in Russia and Hungary. I hope there is still some law and order left when this goes to court. At least Lego and the other companies have very good lawyers.

Lego should be protected by the First Amendment (freedom of association) and also the lack of laws forcing companies to advertise in specific places. I'm mostly worried that the widespread corruption and criminality in the current regime will affect the court system.

And the inmates are running it.

I think it's very easy to use Brickshelf, much more so than modern websites. -
The South African oligarch Elon Musk has sued Lego for not advertising on his X/Twitter social media platform. For me this sounds completely ridiculous. How can a company be obliged to advertise on certain platform or website? Is there even a remote chance that he will win? https://jaysbrickblog.com/news/lego-elon-musk-twitter-lawsuit-trump-mexico-tariffs/

[MOC] Anchor marks the spot! (treasure trove mini-set)
SpacePolice89 replied to zinnn's topic in Pirate MOCs
Small sets like this MOC should be available in every store. This is what gets kids interested in the Pirates theme. I like this MOC very much! -
A very well written review of the subtheme. I found this a very interesting read.

The founder of Bricksafe is here on Eurobricks @technicmad, he hasn't been active since 2019 but maybe we can contact him in some way and get more information? -
