  1. Very nice Sherman! I like how you did the suspension and also the angled sides on the back with the cheese slopes, brackets and stuff Is that a petrol canister on the back?
  2. Nice to meet you @PsychFox Welcome to the forum!
  3. I wonder how Armada minifigs would look, if Lego would design them today. The red and purple soldier is a real challenge for the eye The colors clash! I still have one of the conquistador helmets but don't remember any of the soldier minifigs. Probably we had the 6232 Skeleton Crew set.
  4. That's why the minfig is protected as a 3D trademark. The patents must have ran out long ago but a 3D trademark lasts... forever?!
  5. You can also simply copy the image address from your bricklink pictures. Add the image address to your post and it will be shown automatically. I really like your islander catamaran! It's of substantial size and carries an impressive throne! How thick is the brickbuild sail? Is it just one plate thick? Then i it would be impossible to build it in real life.
  6. Ahoy @Sir Archibald You have to host your pictures somewhere else, on imgur ar an other image hosting site or basically every site where you can upload pictures. Then you add the link to the image to your forum post and the image will be shown here.
  7. I like how they kept some of the designs from Bowser's airship for the wreck.
  8. There can be good arguments for either side i guess, but is it fair to have digital and physical entries in the same category? And why digital builders would want to win physical prizes? I will not participate as a builder in any contest so there is no conflict of interests anyway, but i ask these heretic questions to get a better understanding of what the community thinks is the best solution. It's quite an interesting topic (for me at least ). With only 5 prizes there is not much leeway for enhanced categories anyway and it is not possible to have more but smaller prizes. Just as an example ( i am not suggesting such a category ), personally i am a fan of figbarf categories and always like to see with what people come up with. Just 5-7 cool minifigs and a small side build or some accessoires, etc. But if a figbarf category eats up one out of five prizes, then there would be only four left. And would digital builders be allowed to choose from a thousand heads, torsos, helmets, utensils, etc. while physical builders have to work with the stuff the have?
  9. For me it's the other way round! I would think of Jabba's throne room first and completely forget about the others
  10. I still think there might have been some throne room confusion. First it was Jabba's throne room that was rumoured but then eventually 75352: Emperor's Throne Room Diorama got released. So maybe the initial information/leak was just about an unspecified throne room and people jumped to conclusion that it was Jabba's? Just an theory of mine. I really was looking forward to Jabba's throne room though.
  11. 76266: Endgame Final Battle
  12. Both are art but one is a painting on one is "just done with the computer" Maybe in 200 years the perception will change but it also may happen that a Rembrandt is even more valued then. As always it comes down to ones personal preferences. A digital moc is not build with Lego bricks, obviously it was done with the computer. Are both the same? I brought this quote from Brickscalibut up to fuel the discussion here because i already know what will happen: Nobody is interested in this until the next contest is held some day in the future and then everybody criticize the very same things than last time
  13. Just came across this rule for digital entries from the Brickscalibur contest. Sounds reasonable to me. So you can build a full blown digital moc that matches the contest categories but digital entries will be judged seperately due to their advantages. What do you guys think?
  14. Another fun mech! Well done! I love the little thrusters on the back and the periscope.
  15. Some of the new PAB pieces: 6450637 6451597 6452882 6447541 6459216 6458645
  16. If i had left my dark ages a little earlier i might would have bought the Barracuda Bay. At that time i was overwhelmed by all the themes and sets Lego had to offer and i was more into Star Wars, Modulars and freight trains Even bought the pizza truck twice at my local supermarket When i had settled, the BB was gone Oh, and i really like the Tattooga minifig! Wish we had a fleshie version of him.
  17. It's a culture war when Lego throws in a minifig with a prostetic leg or hearing aid or other handicap or a female knight or a random nougat or reddish brown colored Hogwarts student?? Lego simply wants everybody to feel represented in their toys. It would be funny if it would not be that sad, that middle aged man get angry when there is a female knight in their plastic toy.
  18. Hehe, i still remember this episode
  19. Are the blue window shutters stickers too or printed tiles?
  20. Welcome to the forum @Yachtnutz
  21. Very nice conquistador army!
  22. I remember being a "spectator" in one of these events, probably the last time it was held. Personally i would prefer something that is fitting the Caribbean/Mesoamerican/Americas setting a bit more But it was just a suggestion.
  23. They are not a new element and come in 90+ sets.
  24. Maybe it's time for a new holiday for the new era? I could imagine something like dias de los muertos would bring us some nice mocs.
  25. Great to see your moc in its final stage and all its beauty The grocery store and shipwrights's hut are great additions to the layout. The snowman is a fun detail and i might steal that technique you used to hold the fish in place! And the barber is working outdoors?!
