  1. The threshold is said to be ~250$.
  2. With everything you buy from Lego you pay a little for the GWPs. A billion dollar company does not give you something for free. They want people to think it's free, yes. Every time a person buys something high priced directly from Lego and gets a "free" GWP the reward center in the brain is triggered heavily. Of course every big company knows how that works.
  3. Nice to see a Naginata and i love that stud on the back thingy so you can apply the hat! Also Haji wears a very nice torso. I have to keep my eyes more open for stuff like that (Chinese New Year sets and company).
  4. GWPs are not free. We all pay for them
  5. Now that is an interesting idea! Would love to see that!
  6. Wonderful viking ship! I too like the brick-build shields. The colors really pop!
  7. Wonderful scene! I love the minifig posing, in particular the guy shooting into the air ceiling
  8. What a fun build this is! I love the "flag". Is that some headgear on the flag pole? The head of the orc looks great too, and that lil' skull (necklace)!
  9. Ah yes, the hair of the barbarian Maybe the torso will also be useful but it is impossible to tell from the leaked picture.
  10. Good idea I am not so much a fan of the pith helmet because of the stud on top (looks so big). The detective's hat may work well!
  11. Anyone spotted something useful from the upcomming CMF series? Only the goat, goatherd and fish?
  12. Yep, looks like an eye patch to me.
  13. I like the barbarian and goat guy. Hope their torsos turn out to be useful in historic settings. The train kid looks fun! I also like the detective. But i must admit, the cardboard boxes spoil all the fun for me and i might end up without buying a single minifig
  14. The water really looks spectacular! So lively and natural!
  15. Yes i know, Blue Ocean publishes a lot of magazines in europe, not only Lego magazines. But one would think that there could be an other publisher for the US and Canadien markets, no? Maybe it's one of those strange things like the non-existence of a LSW CMF. I mean they could sell some 100k copies of a LSW magazine in the US. In Germany the LSW magazine has a total circulation of ~131.000 copies and sells roughly half of it. They then recycle unsold copies in bundles of 2 magazines/foil packs, but i don't know if these are included in the numbers. You can also order them online, but again i don't know if this adds to the initial number of sold copies. EDIT: Of course issues with minifigs sell better than issues with mini builds. At least from my observation (in stores and online discussions).
  16. Yeah, maybe it is vinyl or some other plastic
  17. I always wonder why there are no such magazines in the US. Any ideas why?
  18. Looks like fabric because how they are attached.
  19. I never buy any of the mini builds. I wish they would completely drop the mini builds and the magazines would always come with a minifigure. Doing so they would also sell much more magazines in general.
  20. I wish my dark ages would have ended some years earlier and and would have joined the game earlier! What are the visions for era III?
  21. Yeah, sorry, but the more i look at it, the less i like it. The statues in front of the windows look out of place and the colorful banners does not fit into the whole scene at all. The lady feeding the birds is a nice detail though.
  22. Weclcome to the forum @BrickBear Quite an interesting story! The graphic novels make me curious. Maybe one day you can give us a sneak peak!
