Roof is white as in real model to save passenger from sun heat.     Thank you for comments. Yes, it is FJ40. Since it's hard top is too fragile, roll cage is installed in the car even it is with roof. In this model roll cage is also a structure that holds the roof. It is hard to fit to 200 parts. Version on LDD screenshots is about 200+/- parts. Builded model does not include seats. Today I have to drive 120 km to home where son's lego system was left. Cant wait to fit minifig there. Its roof is white from the factory. White prevent heating of saloon.

    Just received my 42030. Box shows v2 receivers, but inside v1. :( May be they dont have enough v2 receivers or there is a excess of v1 receivers in stock that they want to sell before going to v2?! Is there any note that "real content may vary with box image"? :)

    Hello, Did not planned to take part in Mini, but idea was born in 1 evening after playing with 42001 set , which was built for my 4 years old son. As for 42001 - great idea of interchangeable bodies on simple frame. I am wondering why LEGO did not ask communities to do a contest like with 9398's chassis. But both A and B bodies of this set are ugly. I understand part limit for this cheap set for beginners, but they are ugly - thats fact) So, after some trying with 42001's chassis I have to make it longer, but main idea of rubber band suspension was saved. First version was built in ldd Functions: - suspension - openable doors and bonnet - detachable hard top And here is first real prototypes. This WIP, not final version. May be this MOC is a bad idea, that was born in the head of toyota fan:))) Anyways, glad to listen your critics and advices.

    From far looks 42000 But in the close view it's so small, and this fact makes this car awesome Your entry is a lost opporunity for LEGO designers to make small copy of 42000.

    Thanks for review, Pawel. How good it works with buggy motor with load on shaft? Could you hold shaft by hand and test how fast it turns off? If possible, compare with v2 reciever Thanks

    Fast enough buggy for its size and big rear wheels. Very good playability. waiting for next "hardcore scale model";) Update Reminds me 8048 set but born with PF from the box.

    For more than 50% potential user of cabled Sbrick damaged cable=broken Sbrick. These group of buyers will not reapair, but drop to recycle bin. Sbrick without cable is long life unit. I am sure that Sbrick without cable + original LEGO extesion cable is cheaper than price of Sbrick produced with cable.

    Very nice wheels with brand new thread pattern. Good possibility for Technic designers to develop something new with these new tires. For example dragster or nascar series supercar set.

    No, they are somewhere in Russia, very close to me. I will get them next week:) I cant order directly to Russia, cause they dont ship to our country since december 2013. So, I ordered through my friend in Germany

    Try to change battery blocks. My bb is reason of low performance of 41999. Changing bb unit solved that issue

    My fast review "on-the-go" and with russian language only. Sorry, dont have access to pc now to do english subtitles. As I said - very good set, good car base for motorized truck. A lot of free space in 5L high frame and under the hood for placing as many power function elements, as you need for motorizing (drive and propulsion) + additional functions as winch and tipper. And there is also possibility for upgrading it to 4wd. Three things I did not liked 1. Too many holes: front fender, door and big hole at the back of cabin behind the seats. 2. Independent suspension on this truck. At least rear should be live axle. 3. Striped front "red-gray-red-gray..." Grille can be full gray without red bushes. Model was built with help of Technicbricks live build event only.
