Do you have small custom 30 mm rims with 6 holes for this chassis? Or do you plan to use small racing rims/62 wheels ? -

Efferman's Custom Parts

Working LEAF Spring. Efferman Design. It was printed with low quality and NOT on Shapeways. Before ordering it on shapeways.com, ask Efferman for best and flexible material. As you see - it works. Ampitude of flexing is 1-1,5 stud. IMHO 4 leaf springs can hold and work good with 1-1,5 kg model. But this configuration is only for standart car without lifting and other stuff. Standart articulation for old Hilux and so on... -
My last 3x Red passenger train 7938 is also comes with V2 receiver. I have 3 boxes of 7938, so its true, BUT there are also 7938 sets with v1! v2 is mandatory for buggy motor and 2x L motors at one channel. It seems that V2 is better at all, but thats not true. V2 cant run 2x M motors from one channel, and that is Achilles' heel of it. Thats practice. electrically, v2 provides more current for motors and its overload protection border is shifted higher comparing with v1

Thanks. Dfferntial 20Z was too noisy when rotating. And small gears rotate with friction, like limited slip differential. Did you polished it or it is raw right from shapeways? Could you make this part with pins (non friction)? http://www.shapeways.com/model/1847043/driven-steering-hub-small.html?li=cart -
Small 4x4 off roader
rm8 replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
May be it will be not cool for the front, but I am sure it will be cool from the point of weight distribution. Piterx said that now it is distributed closer to back - that's bad for climbing obstacles And, it also can be cool for the front:))) -

You can try fake engine like at 9393 B model. It is a very nice model for shelf and even to play via HoG. Good example: There is a very nice toy (that my son own) - it is in similar scale, have HOG and working live axles. It is scale is almost the same as your Vitara, cause wheels are also 50 mm But analog in LEGO can be upgradable in millions variations And selling instruction is more profitable than selling set;) I am ready to buy it for 5-7€ and even make review of this unofficial set:))) -

Awesome model Piterx! Clean and nice:) I am sure this was inspiration Could you make upgrade set for offroad: lights, bullbar, rear roof and, may be, lifted axles for 56's ballon wheels? I will be glad to see such "pimped" version by you:) please, this is small model;) I cant forget such "pimp my ride" by Teo Zikic and his Unimog 406 (http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/48438) And after You should try to make instruction of it (free or 5€) i am sure, that there are many fans with small amount of parts (I mean small to build comparing to Crowkillers's or Sheepo's MOCs) who dont know how to start and how to build.Such small models can be a good start for them. And this model is easy upgradable duo to its size:). Think about it;) Just notice how many fans created Madoca's SUV. Be sure, there are many people who would like to build one of you models if you provide them with instruction:) -
MOC Sharing Dilemma
rm8 replied to Cumulonimbus's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hey PiterX! I and Jackson are waiting for instruction of your sequental gearbox from Mitsu. It will be very-very useful for us so when? Sometimes you wanna make something unusual and make a surprise. So you dont show your WIP till the end. But this way you can miss some good advices that can seriously improve your MOC. But if you are really strong in building, like Sariel, you dont need advices - you show WIP pictures just to warm up interest before release. So if you feel that you need help and advices - share you WIP. As for me - I think I am lazy and slow in building. So I dont share my WIP, because my WIP thread can lasts monthes and years....so it will not interesting to read my WIP threads -
9398 - Lego Technic 4x4 Crawler
rm8 replied to AndroTech's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes, he increased overload protection border and current 3 times. Electric scheme uses 5 old 9v wires and 3 new PF-9v adapter wires, But it is very important to connect all LiPos right observing polarity when using old 9v wires. If not there is a risk of burning LiPos and receivers. It comes to dark side of power. -

No LDD , but I can paint electric scheme, if interesting... It is like somebody with unlimited budget trying to build something crazy for drag strip:) Author used all posibilities to build the most powerful crawler using LEGO pieces only. If he can attach another 2 buggy motors and 3 LiPos - he will do it for sure:))). His only mistake - differentials;) -

Efferman's Custom Parts
rm8 replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi Just printed leaf spring at local 3D priniting company. They just opened their company, so they dont have experince. Material is PLA Leaf spring looks very ugly (but ok for the first time), but my main question and goal was to find out "will this part work as leaf spring"? So this construction is working well. Middle point of leaf spring is moving up 1 stud. Video later. -
Audi RS 5 DTM
rm8 replied to Lipko's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Today In the morning I drove through parking near Audi A5 and thought that it is almost impossible t o build such complex modern shapes, especially front end in LEGO. ...and now I see that i was wrong:) awesome Audi!!!I like its aggressive front, front and rear lights and "mouth" (grille frame). :))) -

For your wide body it is better to make axles of 9398 chassis also wider 2-4 studs

Hi, Here is a very nice MOC ,created by Filsawgood (Russia) that I can not hide from you. Author is not presented here yet. He was inspired by Ford Bronco 1994 He promised to finish LDD soon. For full photoset and video visit http://brickgarage.b...ce-rancher.html Sure you love this and cat-diff-inspector at the video

The body of you vintage car is much better and proportional than 41999. And, yes, it is too long for 9398 chassis. It would me much better if you build it as its at you picture, using small tires Only thing i can add: wheelbase is too long. You should try to move rear axle 2-3 studs closer to front axle. Or make trunk longer 2-4 studs... I think moving axle is better wy about taillights - second from left are the best) These (photo below) good for 41999, may be you can use this idea: This car deserves more than being new body for 9398, as Zblj said. That could be your personal project As for present for son, may be he would like this: LDD file for this MOC will be ready soon.
