Great microscale moc, the horses are the real standout, being an incredible design, though the rest of the build is excellent too, the plants are great as well

Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Stuartn replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I would really like to see a set with some more Imperial Officers, generally they only appear in more expensive sets. I would appreciate a rendition of the Death Star Meeting, with Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin and an Imperial Navy trooper, consisting of a small rectangular build with two side separated by a wall with the doorway, one side having a boardroom and the other having the death star control station for the trooper to man. It would be a great addition to the Death Star vignettes which have been commonly appearing as sets over the last few years. -
Would it be possible to 'repair' the hull with some sort of modelling paint, it might not be perfect but could salvage (pun not intended) the hull and make it usable at least for general MOCing. Unfortunately most versions on Bricklink of this hull piece seem to have the same greying issue. I suppose this hull piece could be a good opportunity to experiment with new techniques for retrobrighting coloured Lego.

Great details throughout teh build, I especially like the astromech-style droid and the translucent sign

False Memories and the Mandela Effect - Lego Edition
Stuartn replied to TheAbsoluteSt81's topic in Community
There are two microphone pieces that I have that I just realised were actual Lego, having come from a city advent calendar set some years ago. I had thought they were from a custom musical instruments set I had bought from a third party vendor some years ago and had never been able to bring myself to use them, thankfully I just sat them in a box of odd pieces and never disposed of them.- 14 replies

Great work on the trees, and nice use of the red plant pieces for explosions -
Those sticker designs are great, out of interest, are these available for anyone to use, considering the effort you have obviously put into these and the great quality; it seems exceptionally generous to be giving them out, though thank for your generosity in making these available.

That is a great rendition of Muunilist architecture, I especially like the detail in the arch and the base is great

Nice work, I really like the blue accents on the walls, and the composition is great

I like those ideas, as municipal vehicles are something the city theme lacks. I think a focus on recycling would fit best with the current Lego city line up, which would mean rebranding a garbage truck as recycling or green-waste truck. A street sweeper could easily be an electric powered vehicle too. Perhaps a skip loader would be a good addition to the line.

[REVIEW] 40516 - Everyone is Awesome
Stuartn replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Special LEGO Themes
No, because no one even said that. The member wasn't even banned after they said that, they were banned after calling other specific groups of people offensive terms, everyone is entitled to their own views, but when they are weaponised in hurtful ways it shouldn't be tolerated, which isn't teh purpose of EB. I'm going to leave this thread permanently now, up until now I have only given opinions based on the actual set. It would be hypocritical of me to get embroiled into some debate on these issues. Thank you to @Bob De Quatre for the great objective review. -

[K4-Muunilist-CS] The Muunilist Campaign Part 7
Stuartn replied to Stuartn's topic in Factions Archive
Thank you, I was planning on making this a larger build, by combining it with my control centre/hospital MOC, but I run out of time and I actually like the more simple base. I hadn't seen it before, but it actually does look like a Y wing now when I see it, and it does make sense. The building techniques are actually very similar to Inthert's Y wing (https://www.flickr.com/photos/inthert/35369275766) just upside down. -

Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Stuartn replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That is true, but the AT OT, droid transport, quad jumper, Wookie catamaran and FO Scout walker and FO snowspeeder had similar amounts of screen time, or even less, the second last not appearing at all, the first being in an even larger set. Furthermore sets like the AT AP got only slightly more screen time and had multiple sets, while sets like the B Wing had multiple sets at times when they only had minor appearances. I am biased though as I would really like a UT AT set. The prototype emerged around the early CW era as images show 2009 clone gunners on the set, I wonder if the vehicle was supposed to make an appearance in TCW but never made it hence why the prototype was cancelled.
