  1. That may be true, though most kids do like the original star wars movies, but they do like the Mandalorian and other shows and the sequels which are very recent. The constant churning out of new content keeps SW relevant and by incorporating old designs such as the X wing it keeps those relevant for younger audiences too
  2. That is a great model, the greebling along the sides and on the bridge is phenomenal and you've captured teh angles perfectly. Great work
  3. Unfortunately I recycled this for some parts straight after photographing. I went back through my photographs and found that I had only captured about half of the other figures, being some other droids, in the background. Hence I don't have any better photographs.
  4. Thank you, I agree I would've liked to have added a few more details or bits of debris
  5. Thank you. The white building with all its texture was my favourite when I was building it on its own, but when I added the less detailed red building to merely accompany it I do agree that it actually looks better in the scene with a few less details.
  6. Thank you. The roof and walls were quite fun to build as I was able to add really any details or greebling I wanted to give it the 'rustic' and weathered vibe
  7. Thank you, it mainly uses snot techniques combined with stacked plates and tiles intermittently, I am glad you like it
  8. I am assuming that is the US time. 12.00pm in the US won't be until 2am in AEST
  9. Same, I don't have any of the new stormtroopers yet so I am looking forward to the advent calendar too
  10. Thank you. And I appreciate your feedback, the ground scene was somewhat rushed as I was eager to get onto some other builds and be able to recycle parts, and it is especially visible in the rockwork, and I am glad you like the ship. There is also a second pilot behind the deceased one (unable to be seen except for the top of his helmet) who is alive.
  11. Thank you, I am glad you like it
  12. Thank you. The animals were fun to make, and I agree with your feedback on the rockwork.
  13. Thank you, the crates were inspired by a MOC I saw on Flickr. The washing machines were intended to be in a city build, but felt suitably futuristic so I included them here.
  14. Thank you. I completely agree about the door. I was thinking about brick building a door but run out of time. I quite like this MOC so I may update it soon. I might also swap out the military figures for civilians if I keep it as a permanent piece.
  15. Thank you, I was looking for a binoculars part for a blaster and come across the ice-queen tiara piece, and I thought it would work well with the blaster explosions.
  16. Thank you, I started building this before the story sort of fell into place, so each minifigure got a lot of attention. Also, I wanted the area to still seem desolate and deserted, so I wanted to make sure there were as few figures as possible, hence each figure had to have a definite purpose in the build, and hence somewhat of a story developed for each. The Ardennian is inspired by an elderly gentlemen who lives in a small isolated town (albeit on a busy road) not far from here. On every occasion I drive past he is sitting on his verandah reading the newspaper. I wanted to sort of convey the same form of isolated yet independent lifestyle, being the person standing there while all of the humdrum and business went on around them, and I am glad it resonated.
  17. Thank you. I'd recently disassembled a city MOC which had used a lot of flowers, and this is where the inspiration come from. Thank you. I find the benefit to using the snot technique is that it is smoother, but also uses a lot less bricks, which is the main advantage. As for the fauna I based them on a brick built buffalo I'd done previously, but altered the colours and design to make it look star-wars-like.
  18. That looks great, I like the hangar design and the shuttle is brilliant. The greebling on the top is unique and a genius use of all of the tool pieces, and the use of the wedge tiles on the top shows great attention to detail.

  22. *Your entry has earned 8 XP* The recent excursion of CorSec and New Republic agents to Muunilist, in search of information as to the whereabouts of a Holocron has caused some interest amongst Muunilist resistance groups. A band begins there trek towards Muunilist's capital, where they attempt to overthrow the unstable remnant government. All, the while, two Muunilistian locals look on as there meal is disrupted.
