  1. I didn't watch the event, but the biggest criticism, as evidenced in the video above, is how it couldn't find a direction between AFOLs and children, now while that is difficult, a niche little show called 'Lego Masters' manages to do this brilliantly, hence why it is one of the highest rating free-to-air shows here in Australia and very popular worldwide, where good hosts are able to incorporate sophisticated Lego discussion which can appeal to AFOLs and non-AFOL adults and also engage children. Lego seemed to have forgotten that children can actually be interested in proper discussion and that the children who would use Lego and watch this would likely be of an age where the 'Dora-the-Explorer' language (I think that is a good term to describe it) would be equally a turn off, and who would probably be just as interested in proper builds as AFOLs are.
  2. I don't think it would sell out as quickly, apart from scalpers, very few would want more than one of this set as it has two non-massable figures and the vehicle on the other hand is unique, with the AAT, many people would want multiples of the 332nd trooper, and the extra droids and multiple AATs wouldn't be a waste, plus the Ahsoka figure would've been unique to the set and might have had further resell value. Hence there wouldn't be a foreseeable issue of people buying many copies of the set.
  3. Or the Adelaide O-Bahn which is another unique concept
  4. For the pin holes on the front, I am assuming the blue pins are the three long, could you swap this for a flick-fire missile piece with a two long pin on the end to attach whatever needs to be attached ( this might not work though ) and use cheese slopes attached to the stud of the missile piece to give a smoother slope. Regardless, brilliant work so far
  5. *Your entry has earned 7 XP* CorSec commandos have overrun an Imperial artillery emplacement, forcing the surrender of the gunners.
  6. *Your entry has earned 6 XP* As part of the New Republics offensive against Imperial Remnants, CorSec forces now prepare to be inserted into Telos, senior CorSec officers inspect the general infantry and special forces troops.
  7. *Your entry has earned 9 XP* This entry is for the MC75 cruiser MOC entry, as you may have noticed a similar submission was posted earlier as an LTC entry, to be eligible it referred to the smaller ships and this entry is a freebuild for the larger ship only. In an attempt to finally quell resistance on the planet Muunilist, CorSec has deployed the Andor, one of its powerful MC75 Star Cruisers, to support its starfighter operations and fend off Imperial Remnant fleets. Support Ships Display stand (16x16) Thank you for viewing, and any comments and criticisms are welcome, once I have finished my builds for the ninth Factions episode, one of my projects will be to rebuilt this MOC with a proper technic frame, and better angles and proportions at the back, much of the interior is quite fragile as it used an ad-hoc construction method with sections added here and there in order to make the ship fit together.
  8. Darth Vader's Helmet, it looks way better in real life than in the pictures and is my favourite helmet build so far.
  9. For the 16x32 I would go with a sand green building or a tan/grey building with sand green features, that way the fire station which I assume would incorporate red accents will contrast, if the 16x32 building is a corner then I would go with the modern station as it could be in an open space as a standalone building, but if it was to go wall-to-wall against the 16x32 building I think an older station would work well. Perhaps an old station with a modern extension could be a good compromise between the opposing ideas.
  10. Great work, the pillar is especially well done and the window is excellent
  11. Great build, I really like the toppled arch and the rest of the rubble looks excellent, the positioning of the figures works really well too
  12. Thank you, as for this entry, I considered the turbo tank to be part of the LTC entry as it does have its place on the main build, though as I didn't make this clear or picture this before the deadline I completely understand if it cannot be judged this way. For the other entry, I also understand that the main ship build is way outside of the entry limits, I had wanted to build the ship long before the LTC so I am just happy I had the excuse to build it. I knew it probably wouldn't qualify so I can completely understand that it cannot be considered an LTC build. If the smaller ships underneath the main build (which all fit into the16x16 limit) can be judged as the LTC entry and I can post the main ship as a separate build later I would appreciate that, but if it cannot qualify that way I understand and will be happy for it to be considered a regular build.
  13. He is our prime minister, Scott Morrison, it is more of a mention about the fact our government here doesn’t do much to support the arts sector and wouldn’t seem likely to support AFOLs. I didn’t know that there was such a complex side to funding such builds, the scale of your builds is very impressive, and I can anticipate that manpower and administration would be a huge part of MOCing, how many people did it take to help put together your Falcon MOC. On another note, did you construct the metal frame for the Falcon moc yourself or do you have another party make that: the sheer scale and complexity of your MOC and the information you have shared has made me intrigued as to the processes that go into building pieces like this.
  14. I wish Scomo would give me a million bucks to buy LEGO In that case you should keep the millennium falcon secure when you transport in the truck pictured above! I didn’t realise that the radar dish hadn’t been built yet, I look forward too seeing pictures of the assembly when completed, the picture above really does give a lot of perspective as to the size of the build, those mosaics above are very impressive
  15. Of which I agree with every one, in terms of Ninjago, the set quality gets better and better each wave: they are by far the best quality sets made in my opinion, but I feel ten years is a good cut off point, and I’d love to see TLG dedicate their energy to something new
  16. When I first went to open this thread I was wondering what the 'm' in '5m' in the title meant, I thought metres can't be right, can it? I didn't really get a sense of the incredible scale of the ship until the pictures in the back of the truck, it must be massive and you should be incredibly proud to have built that. It is a brilliant build, the overall detail around the ship is spectacular, my favourite elements are the docking rings on the sides and the mandibles, both of which integrate seamlessly with the rest of the ship and capture the detail perfectly.
  17. *This entry has earned 12 XP (x2 LTC Bonus Applied)* Imperial forces have landed at a small market settlement in remote Tatooine, taking a turbo tank for transport and a TIE fighter (with mechanical problems) to provide aerial support.
  18. Great work, I really like those trees, especially the trunks
  19. That would probably work very well, DBG would probably work with a brown sheep too Interesting concept, it would certainly need a lot of new but desirable animal moulds
  20. Brilliant work, I really like the way the two pillars frame the build and the structure is wonderful, my favourite part however, is the assortment of tiles in the foreground, as they add a lot of texture to what would otherwise be negative space and draw the eye to the centre of the build, the touches of yellow and dark red on the main structure also add some contrast and work really well
  21. Thank you, I am glad you like the build Thank you, I appreciate the feedback, I completely understand what you mean about composition, and I will try some smaller builds in the future as I would like to try some more focused builds where I can conglomerate techniques I have acquired in a very cohesive way.
  22. No need to apologise at all, I understood what you meant, sorry if I came across as criticising your English (which seems pretty much perfect to me), I was just saying that discussing relevant CMFS seems perfectly acceptable I thinking a dark brown body with a black head/legs to represent a black sheep or a regular brown body with black or dark brown head/legs to represent a brown sheep. In hindsight I can see how a fully black sheep might not work. That is my biggest wish for a new animal mould
  23. I would really like to see a recolour of the sheep with light tan face and legs rather than black, as they are much more common here in that colour, and a black or brown sheep would be a nice and possible variation I would say it is relevant as as you said there are many town related figures and this forum seems more about ‘real life’ than specifically city
  24. I am guessing he means a series about farms on Amazon Prime
  25. Great work capturing the details and shaping of the city very accurately, I really like the shuttle and the colour choices work very nicely
