  1. This is from Promobricks - about as reputable a source as you can get.
  2. True to form, the summer rumours seem VERY interesting! AT-TE was predicted by a lot of people but still nice to see it. I presume the Jedi Starfighter will be an episode II version, since we got the RotS model last year (and it ties in with the 20th anniversary). Cad Bane's ship is also a very nice surprise! Best of all though, we FINALLY get a Fallen Order set! Buildable BD-1 will almost certainly be the first buildable droid I pick up. It would be nice if one of the remaining EUR100+ sets is the Mantis but I'm not holding my breath.
  3. It seems like they've given the palace the same treatment as the cantina in 2014. The throne looks nice enough, but at 100 bucks this is an easy pass for me.
  4. That's quite incredible - this must be the biggest LEGO AT-RT out there, right? I love that the scale matches the TR project as well, any chance of a side-by-side picture?
  5. Stunning work! Compared to the 6 wide model it's amazing how much more accurate the extra two studs can make it.
  6. Dark Trooper helmet looks to be accurate, but without the bulk of the shoulders next to it it does really emphasise the strange shape of the head. It'll probably have some interesting techniques on the inside though. A pass for me, once again only really one helmet of the three I'll probably pick up.
  7. These were discussed, I believe the picture @BrickBob Studpants is the one currently on #legoleaks on Instagram. Aside from the pink hairpiece and the fact Bib is in his usual outfit, there isn't much new to learn, especially since the previous pictures were higher quality than 144p.
  8. The hallway set looks... Fine. I'm not really collecting the dark troopers, and while the hallway scene was cool I'm not in any hurry to have it in my collection. 30 bucks for a piece count that isn't much higher than the battle pack is also off-putting. It could just be a trick of the light, but to me it looks like a plastic piece rather than fabric. It looks thicker and it's reflecting some of the light. I haven't seen the JB Spielwaren review, but do they show the figure in any detail?
  9. This is great, very fun concept. Is he designed to go up against @BarfolomewMog's battle mechs?
  10. I especially like how they've made it the wet tyre compound since the tyre has grooves on and isn't a slick (I guess the blue looks a bit nicer than the green would for inters). The only disappointment for me on the F1 car is the front suspension, or lack thereof. The technic connector is kind of unavoidable, but there doesn't seem to be much there to distract from it, so it just ends up looking like a driveshaft. Other than that I do like it though, I wasn't sure about the front wing height in the first leak but it looks OK in the official ones.
  11. At last, another F1 car! It's hard to judge from one grainy picture but it looks like the front wing is way too high, it looks more like the 2008-spec wings! Otherwise it looks decent, curious for more details to see how an 8-wide car looks. The AMG One also looks a bit tall, but again it's hard to judge. Seeing all the cars lined up does look very nice. That does mean there are no off-roaders in this wave though
  12. Wow, these look (mostly) phenomenal! The Countach is definitely the pick of the bunch, they've nailed the shaping on that, and I love the old-school Fezza as well. Hooray for brick-built headlights! I think the Vantage GT3 looks great as well, but the Valkyrie looks like a bit of a miss. It is a ridiculously complicated-looking car, and it does look like there's some interesting solutions in the middle portion, but it doesn't do it for me. It looks as though the polybag will be a miniaturised Valkyrie (again 5-wide like the Elva), and that does look pretty good. I'm glad the polybags are staying.
  13. Both helmets look fairly good! I like the subtle details on Mando's helmet that differentiate it from Boba's, although I think the central slit should have been one stud wide rather than two. The colour is a good compromise as well - enough flat silver in the right areas to get the shininess (?) across. I like Luke's helmet as well, and I'll probably pick this up to add a splash of colour to my collection. I'm not sold on the visor solution, but I can't think of many better solutions than simply layering trans-orange plates, which is probably far more parts-intensive. It also looks like it's been squashed a bit from the front, I feel it doesn't quite look bulbous enough. But hey, it's something a bit different to what we've had so far, so I'll be voting with my wallet on this one.
  14. *Gonks in agreement* I don't collect the droid sculptures, but a GNK could be quite an interesting one. Although it coming out in the same year as the UCS landspeeder might make some heads explode...
  15. Nice video, I'd not seen that particular one before. I guess it depends on how often the moulds get swapped out for cleaning, but if it's often enough maybe they have a way of disconnecting the feed from the injecting machine while it's being worked on to minimise downtime. Either way, unless multiple machines share the same feed (which is plausible) you'd still have to stop the feed to do so, which is the slow bit of starting these machines up again. Another thing I thought of from this video is the different type of plastic granulate used. This might be spitballing slightly, but I assume that different materials would require subtly different moulds, especially at TLG's level of accuracy. For the solid colours it wouldn't be a problem, but swapping a windshield mould out for one that is designed for a different type of ABS could lead to trouble? I'm not certain on this, but it wouldn't surprise me.
  16. Those 5-piece AT-ATs are adorable. Might be the smallest model I've seen of one!
  17. I doubt it, injection moulding machines are not easy to switch on and off. I don't know the specifics of the moulds, but they look like pretty beefy bits of metal from what I've seen. Swapping those in and out, in factories that are largely automated, is not likely to be an easy task. It would also mean the moulds would need to be swapped out with hot plastic still in the system, and again, with highly automated factories, such a safety critical aspect would surely be alarmed and require a lot of work to bypass.
  18. I was lucky enough to find a copy in my parents' attic (I guess it was bought for a rainy day), but unless you're a completionist you're not missing much. It makes a decent parts pack if you can pick it up relatively cheaply, and the shoretroopers are very nice figures, but it's comfortably the least good RO set IMO.
  19. This has happened often enough in the past, even if it's not immediately obvious which country the catalogue is from (and 'foreign' does depend which country you are in, of course ). That said it only tends to be sets from the main wave, so sets like the helmets, quote sets or D2Cs don't usually pop up in those.
  20. £5? Wow, GAME being as generous as ever... Although I guess if you're going to get the game anyway it's better than nothing. I don't think I got a dispatch notification but I'll have another look. Thanks for the heads up! There is a "trooper character pack", which I've been assuming will have some named troopers such as Rex or Gree. The only other variations I can think of for Rex would be his appearance in the Bad Batch (i.e. in a cloak), or his presumed appearance in RotJ, although I can never remember if that particular theory was confirmed as being canon or not. Technically that variation does have a figure, I think...
