  1. Finally received the AT-TE and Jedi Starfighter. Naturally went straight for Ron McPhatty's modded Delta which looks great. Big fan of the AT-TE as well - it's my first big GAR vehicle, and I think is the biggest system-scale set I've bought since the Sandcrawler. Definitely going to try and make a crab droid for my 212th bois to square up against though.
  2. These are great, a bit like oversized microfighters. I'm not overly familiar with the Kenner toys but you've captured their 'Kenner-iness' perfectly!
  3. I wonder what the quote for Jabba's throne would be. It would be funny if they put something in Huttese.
  4. Mega job on this, some really great ideas for sets in there. Weirdly I think the Orbaks might be my favourite - I'm a sucker for brick-built creatures. Inquisitorius set is also really nice even if it did give me flashbacks of that damn Trilla fight...
  5. That's a marked improvement, I must admit I wasn't sure the extension would solve it to the extent it did. It's certainly less complex than my idea...!
  6. You could try and put some sort of stay sticking out the back of the dropship, to essentially push the back of the AT-TE down and keep the front up. It might have to be fairly substantial depending on how much force is required, but it could be retractable, and it wouldn't require a connection to the walker.
  7. I will say that as far as battle pack builds go, I thought the TLG one did a pretty good job of replicating the one on-screen. Needless to say yours does a better job though!
  8. Wow, that's seriously impressive. I can't remember how they walk in the movies/TV series, but the motion looks phenomenal. Is there a way of mounting the middle leg cranks a bit higher up? It might help to hide some of the gubbins underneath, as well as making it less likely to snap off by being more vertical.
  9. Wow, that landing pad looks phenomenal with the lights.
  10. This is great. I love how you've managed to fit basically every major Citadel scene from the movie in there. In terms of stability, without looking at it in detail I think it seems ok structurally (always worth a test build it possible, of course). The only concern I would have would be that it would tip forwards quite easily, so perhaps putting some Scarif beaches to widen the base out front might be an idea? It would help to break up the grey a bit as well, and you could even try to fit in that pod that Cassian and Jyn use to get to the tower, even if it's at a smaller scale than the rest.
  11. Pre-ordered the AT-TE and Kenobi's Starfighter from JB Spielwaren. It seems that there's a bit of a delay on the AT-TE so will get it a bit later, but I don't mind so much. Unbelievably paying to have these shipped over from Germany still works out cheaper than just buying them in Finland - the AT-TE is more expensive than the Justifier here and some other places. So much for LEGO's consistent pricing! Also got some lights from Game of Bricks for some of my SW MOCs. Has anyone here had any experience with these?
  12. This looks mega - looking forward to seeing more pictures! In case you haven't taken them already, I will say you may want to move the left-hand viewport (on the right in your picture) towards the centre... I'm sure it's just a mistake (easily done!) but at the moment it does look like this walker has one eyebrow raised!
  13. GWPs is a neat idea. I like @Omand's Operation Stardust (Rogue One supremacy and all that), but for something a bit more out of left-field... How about the Jedi archives with a Jocasta Nu figure? I know it's not really from any movies (I can't even remember if she was in the Clone Wars all that prominently), but I can't think of many better ways to get her in minifigure form.
  14. @Mandalorianknight a couple of suggestions: Microfighter dual pack: Zam's airspeeder and Obi-Wan and/or Anakin's yellow speeder. Always appears on wishlists so could be an interesting twist on it... Similarly, I'll suggest the oft-requested Exegol duel, but as a quote set ("and I... Am all the Jedi"). I'll let you decide which price range to put it in, but it could maybe fit in the $25-40 range since the bulk of it would be palpatine's robot arm.
  15. Very nicely done, love that it only uses parts from the set. I'll likely build your version once I get it, it does look much better for relatively small changes. I assume these changes mean R4's body no longer fits in the ship?
  16. Personally I like getting an in-universe fig, but I don't mind the holiday (or LEGO special) themed ones. Figures like TLJ Luke or the cloud car pilot are great, as they would either be difficult to fit, or less likely to appear, in a regular set, and are probably not in massively high demand. Them being in an advent calendar makes it possible to get them without breaking the bank.
  17. If I recall correctly, part of Thrawn's story in Rebels was that TIE Defender production was shut down in favour of the Death Star, so if Thrawn is in it I doubt they'd pop up in Ahsoka which is set much further down the line (thought not out of the question, of course). Equally we don't even know if Thrawn is still aligned with the Empire at that point, his ultimate allegiance is to the Chiss Ascendancy. It's all pure speculation at this point but a new interceptor would certainly be welcome. Unlike the bomber I imagine it could be done at a similar price point to a regular TIE fighter.
  18. You've just made me realise the last system interceptor came out 16 years ago. Now I feel old... Great model though! My favourite TIE variant, you've done it justice for sure.
  19. Since the production line is already set up for the 501st printing, and has been going for over two years now, I would imagine it is cheaper to keep it going rather than to stop it and restart it, especially if the set isn't going to hang around for too much longer. (Side-note - is it on EOL lists?) There might only be planned and coated production capacity for upcoming sets as well, and although they're the same part before printing, you'd effectively be (at least) doubling the amount of moulded parts, which shortens the life of the mould. As far as stock goes, I don't imagine TLG would overshoot production targets in such a way that they end up with scores of one type of mould in warehouses, since that is essentially wasted capacity. Any produced helmets will likely end up in a set rather than in a box in a warehouse. (Hope that makes sense!)
  20. She's a beauty. I actually prefer wholly brick-built creatures to molded ones and this is about as perfect as you could get with this. The headdress is great but the feet are what I like the most, that leaf part is such a perfect match for the on-screen ones. I may try and reverse-engineer it for my own Obi-Wan if you don't mind!
  21. Thanks for the tip, that version does look pretty good and certainly much closer to the BFII model. I might mod mine and compare with the 2017 one for size.
  22. Finally got my hands on my copy of the Skywalker Saga, and celebrated by picking up the Republic fighter tank. I can't decide what to think of it... Although I really like the 2017 one, I think the scale on this one is pretty perfect, it's a nice compromise between the various versions of the tank, and of course the minifigures are great. But there are so many gaps around the cockpit and the back of it, and the side cannons keep drooping, which is infuriating. I was initially going to part it out as there's a few parts I want for another project, but I'm undecided. I might re-build the old one and put them side-by-side to decide.
  23. Love that landspeeder, a really great version at this scale. The only nitpick I would have is the windscreen, since I'm not sure having two stacked like you've done makes it look substantially better than were it to have just the one... That said it is a really hard feature to pull off in LEGO, so a minor complaint really!
  24. It's fascinating to read through the different evolutions of x-wings over the years. This is almost a history of the LEGO online community and some of its main characters which I love, going from Brickshelf, Bruce Lowell et al through to the present with Jerac and Flickr. I agree with @ForgedInLego that if feels like a museum exhibit, so thanks for going through the effort with the information! Props to you for building all of these at once as well!
  25. This is very nice. I'm not very familiar with the source material but I love the shape of it. Without wanting to sound crass, I love the rear end especially...!
