  1. Stunning work. Love how the stand intentionally gives it that dynamic, in-flight look. I assume it can support its own weight on the landing gear?
  2. Yeah, I tried to limit it to new prints rather than molds, although it would be cool if Kuill could get a little elf hat. (Honestly the idea of him as an elf was too funny to me to pass up, and it makes sense since he's good at making stuff!) At a push, Cobb could probably re-use an OT Boba torso and/or maybe a head print somewhere, but if we consider that last year had three new prints and two each in the preceding two years, I don't think it's too much of a stretch. The MOC wave is sounding stacked already. Some great suggestions in there.
  3. What the RotJ sets have going for them is it's not just LEGO making a point of celebrating that anniversary - it's been across multiple franchises, including at SWCE itself. The AotC sets didn't really get anything like that last year, and if memory serves neither did ESB around the time that the UCS AT-AT came out. Could be anything from a conscious decision within TLG to mark the anniversaries without calling attention to it, or just coincidence. They might even need some kind of permission from Lucasfilm to use these little anniversary badge things.
  4. Thought of a slightly different idea for a wishlist... An advent calendar. Here are the parameters I have completely arbitrarily come up with on a whim: 8 minifigures, two from each era of: prequels/TCW/TBB, OT/Andor/RO etc, ST/Mandoverse, plus one holiday special character and one exclusive non-holiday character. I know the last couple of calendars seem to have eschewed this in favour of more holiday prints, but getting things like Antoc Merrick or the cloud car pilot was really cool. Since LEGO seems to like using figures from existing sets, I'll try and stick to that too, although it will only include sets that are currently on shelves or announced rather than currently rumoured. I'll try and have an equal split of good guys and bad guys (though not necessarily between eras), and three main characters (not including the holiday special one). For the mini-builds, I will try and theme them around the minifigures (so a pattern of two minibuilds followed by a minifigure every three days). I know this isn't always done (particularly recently) but it makes things easier here. Aiming for a roughly 2/3 ratio of microscale builds to ones that minifigures can interact with. And there has to be a weapons rack in there somewhere, obviously. The exact order of days can be chopped and changed too - I just did it chronologically for convenience. So without further ado... Days 1-3: Minifigure: 212th trooper. Mini-builds: micro AV-7 cannon and micro AT-AP. Days 4-6: Minifigure: Cad Bane (basically the only prequel option that isn't a battle droid). Mini-builds: a micro Justifier, and a weapons rack but with Todo-360 to sweeten the deal. Days 7-9: Minifigure: Chewbacca (snow print, same as in the Hoth AT-ST). Mini-builds: snow bank with 'snowball' stud-shooter and a micro Millenium Falcon. Days 10-12: Minifigure: TIE pilot. Mini-builds: micro TIE bomber and probe droid (again same build as the one in the AT-ST, but maybe in black rather than dark bley). Days 13-15: Minifigure: Bo-Katan. Mini-builds: micro Gauntlet and micro Mando's N-1. Days 16-18: Minifigure: Dark trooper. Mini-builds: a sliding door for it to punch, and a micro light cruiser. Days 19-21: Minifigure: Cobb Vanth (exclusive! New face, torso and maybe leg prints). Mini-builds: micro krayt dragon lair with tiny krayt dragon, and a micro ballista with stud shooter. Days 22-24: Minifigure: Christmas elf Kuill. Mini-builds: a reindeer blurg, and a sleigh with presents. I've tried to keep it realistic - it would be quite easy to make each day a super interesting micro-build, but very few calendars have bangers every day. Would love to know people's thoughts, or their own versions of it!
  5. I'll throw in a few off the bat: Microfighter dual pack: Anakin and sebulba's podracers (TPM supremacy!) Imperial v-wing from the Bad Batch. A mainstay of this thread. Mon Mothma's Coruscant speeder from Andor, although it might end up being around the same price as the v-wing.
  6. I also own that set and hadn't clocked it was that which made it legal until you mentioned it. Every day's a school day, I guess. Saw the UCS X-wing in person at SWCE today, and it looked pretty good. It did look very... Stud-y, though. I think having the studs on the side of the nose section makes it look less sleek than it maybe should. Nice set, but I probably won't pick it up.
  7. This is very clever. What's the minimum thickness of the base to conceal the attachment for the shield? Or is it the thickness of this plinth?
  8. The title of this post gave me a good laugh! Accidentally making a Star Wars ship sounds like a nice problem to have I like this design, I can see where you were going with the Batwing shape. The drop ship idea is cool as well. And not to be that Tri-Wing guy, but it does look quite a lot like the ECHenry redesign of that ship (which is a compliment, even if I prefer the now-canon one!). You've even got the folding wings in there!
  9. This year went from very cheap to very expensive, very quickly...
  10. I swear every time I see what I think is the best version of this ship, someone comes along and raises the bar. This is jaw-droppingly good. Its a shame it can't fit a fig (though understandable); any chance of a picture next one for reference?
  11. Super work as always. The Fondor is my favourite, but other highlights for me are the connection to stabilise the front of the Tac-pod, and the ski pole for the imp stun batons. Maarva is also great.
  12. I'm surprised this hasn't appeared as a set yet, given how frequently it has appeared both on wishlists and in the series (and LEGO have even made one before, so it's not like it's completely new material). It would be quite easy to shoehorn into the smaller winter waves we seem to get nowadays. What I would like to see from a V-wing set is more accurate wings. The penultimate BB episode had a really good shot of the way the wings unfold during take-off, and I'd love to see if/how that could be replicated in a TLG set. Minifig wise it's also very open though, you could have pretty much any combination of three (I hope there'd be three, but given recent developments it would probably end up being a £30/35eur set). I can't remember if they showed any shots of the pilots so I'm not sure if it was TK troopers flying them, but I would have that or a pilot, a generic clone commando, and (probably vague enough as is but just in case) to make it more relevant to that same last episode. Could also swap out the commando for a TK shock trooper.
  13. I'll come clean: I didn't include him because I didn't remember his name... I agree at minimum it would need those first five figures though. I'd even be willing to forego the TK troopers in favour of an imperial commando and maybe Hemlock. As far as other bad batch sets go, the only other one I really want to see is a V-wing. I can't remember if season 1 had them still in Republic colours, but if they were that would be my preferred colour scheme. 30 bucks, Imperial clone pilot, Omega or Hunter, and a TK trooper or imperial commando, take my money please and thank you.
  14. Spoilers for the Bad Batch ep 14.
  15. I figured my droids needed a bit more than a crab droid to help their cause, so I've bolstered their forces with a couple of STAPs! Nice and simple build, with only 20-odd pieces. I'm particularly pleased with how the top bit of the STAP came out. The lower half should probably be a bit sleeker, but them's the breaks. At least this way it can be made in CIS colours as well (mostly, anyway - a mixture of dark blue, blue and black). I think Trade Federation brown is a bit more becoming though, especially as a TPM apologist!
  16. Yes! I thought the same thing when looking at the image of the set in plan view. The snubfighter looks nice enough, and I like the non-Vane minifig. The N-1, though... Doesn't look great. I'm not sure if it's the stud shooters or the overall proportions, or something else, but it seems very chunky compared to the TPM N-1 microfighter we got a while back. In any case, these are probably easy passes for me. If I can find the snubfighter on discount further down the line I might pick it up, but I don't need another Mando & Grogu combo, even with the new helmet.
  17. Seconded. In a way this actually makes it feel more interesting to me than it did in Legends. From memory, and I could be wrong, the Empire's continued semi-secret interest in cloning wasn't covered much beyond some exposure in the comics.
  18. I can see Galaxy's Edge being rebranded as Navarro down the line, but because of Mando's crazy popularity, not for sequel retconning. Come on, people have been convinced Disney/LFL is going to retcon the sequels for years now and it hasn't come anywhere close to happening. Having gone through all the furore of the canon/legends split, I find it highly unlikely that they would take out the central plot point of TRoS when the movies are considered the 'most' canon, as it were. As @ARC2149Nova points out, the idea of Palps having cloned himself existing long before the sequel trilogy. I think it could have done better for sure, but I don't think they have the appetite for such big retcons.
  19. This is mega.
  20. I feel your pain. Even though it's all in euros, generally everything on S@H is slightly more expensive here in Finland (the helmets and SSD are all 85eur instead of 70eur, for instance), and for some reason the AT-TE from last summer is 10eur *more* expensive than the Justifier. I'm sure there are reasons for it, but it is frustrating.
  21. Well, that's one! Here's hoping your other predictions come true as well
  22. I don't have the exact code, but the place they're from is Game of Bricks. I bought a couple of the Aston Martin Speed Champions kits, which has a decent range of LED colours. Most of their kits are very reasonably priced, and they are quite fiddly (especially with small builds like these), but the quality is great I've found. Not at the moment. I did have instructions for my first versions, but they got nixed when my PC died last year. I may do some breakdown pics though. Yeah, the size difference was one of the main things I wanted to do with that. In an ideal world they'd be trans-red, but they actually look better in red than I thought they would. Thank you for the kind words everyone!
