    Have they ever retired a Modular out of sequence from release before? No, so i dont think they will start now. Dont stress People, the TH will be around for a while yet. Buy a GE instead.

    The only reason for a delay i can think of is that they want to reduce the 5 modulars they have out now first. Maybe GE will have to retire first.

    Im reading through the last 5-6 pages of this topic, and I went back through my BL account for reference... It works out that building a GG in 2014 is more expensive than it was in 2012. Parts are climbing higher in price, with sand green 'special bricks' required for the GG (grooved, 1x8 etc.) having almost doubled in this time.

    I've started on a modified Cafe Corner. Im only a couple of hundred parts away from completing it. - my version will have an interior - some colour changes will take place, but not large scale ones are planned - modern windows will be used - a rear door will be added to the back alley (just like the other modulars) all in all it will be 90% the same. I can easily make an original one, but i want to 'tweak' the design a little bit.

    UPDATE: BL'ing a CC, and bought a 2nd PC, so it's now: 1xCC, 1x GG, 2x GE, 2x PS, 2x TH, 2x PC, 1x PR

    no i don't, no i won't. this is an open discussion, i don't demand you explain what's so good about either... just appreciate the beauty of individuality and different tastes.

    I might be in the minority, but i love the Town Hall. It's grandeur, the interior is fantastic, and I love how it's the grand building in a town layout. For me the Parisian Restaurant and Market Street are the biggest let downs in the range, and Market St is considered by some not to be a modular.

    totally agree with your sentiments. Friends buildings are starting to look attractive to me as options since Creator sets seem to have dropped in consistent quality and price

    I actually think OT has a point. by comparison, I just looked at the friends range, and it has quite a considerable amount of buildings, and with variety. Maybe city range some volume and diversity with buildings being released.

    back to Modulars, I'd love to see a school. classrooms, science labs, principals office etc would look great in a large 2 storey building.

    1x GG, 2x GE, 2x PS, 2x TH, 1x PC, 1x PR the second copy of each modular was parted down for MOC's and bulk. My GG was bricklinked, and i have made a custom MS and CC.

    i have another angle to consider; there are still currently 5 modulars still for sale in the range. That's a lot of different modulars that are generally all still available. Perhaps TLG will hold off on another release until 1 o 2 go EOL, reducing the range.

    6 Classic space sets, all modern versions of the classics. have it as a one-year release.

    I do both. I have bought 2 x most of the modulars and I keep one copy as it is NEVER to be broken down, and the other copy has been parted down for projects.
