brilliant! this great MOC has made me ask the question: has anyone thought of the concept of larger-than-standard modulars? for example, 48x48 baseplate modular buildings that are compatible with the stand modulars.

found a town hall today for $259, sadly only one available. not bad score this week, found some bargains with a bit of work, without resorting to importing them. -

it's my turn in a month's time. im really keen to know pricing and availability of some sets. is it worth buying town hall, or death star there? -
i was there in april, and it's by weight. i cannot tell you how much per 100g, as i was thinking in my own currency, using daily conversions app. but i can tell you, the PaB at billund is very, very, very impressive it's worth checking out the copenhagen lego store as well if you can... same prices as billund, has a great PaB as well.

ok, im moving from one city to another, the removalist will have my stuff in storage for a month. i have about 50 sets MISB to move, and about 1/2 of them are the bigger sets.. (modulars, bigger end SW sets) i plan on packing my lego myself so no-one knows what it is (insurance, theft etc).. what im thinking is that i will bubble wrap each set, and fragile sticker the sh!t out of the cartons. im after anyone who has done this already.. that has do's and dont's, and past experience. all advice is welcome

http://www.news.com.au/technology/lego-reboot-inception-dream-brought-to-life/story-e6frfro0-1226393431937 (from the webpage) HOW good was Inception. That wasn't a question, a rhetorical question, or even an opinion. It was a fact. (And, frankly, if you didn't like then you didn't get it.) Now imagine Inception with LEGO. Yep. That's what we thought. It took VFX - a small team of visual effects and concept design students - around 1000 hours to make over a three-month period, but it was worth it. The result is a trailer that parodies famous moments from Christopher Nolan's 148-minute dream narrative. Permission to drool, granted There's something pure about watching that legendary hallway fight scene recreated with small, snaplock plastic figures. It's LEGO Inception. We don't need to oversell this.

i saw about 6 or so in the Sydney CBD store on tuesday night, as well as 5 or so Fire departments. bondi Junction would be another recommended store to check for them as well, or parramatta. -

LOTR sets are there: helm's deep is the biggest one... and it's part of the sale Jabba's Palace, desert skiff and other new sets were there alongside present sets like the MF etc. the tower bridge was there and on sale, and the kombivan was there. only 2 bridges and 10 kombis available there. i bought Jabba's Palace, desert skiff and 4 minifigs for $201 i really hope DJ's have a lego sale.. they have one set im dying to buy, but not at full price -
A SILICON Valley executive has been accused of putting fake bar codes on LEGO sets at various Target stores, buying the sets cheaply, then selling them online for thousands of dollars. Thomas Langenbach, 47, appeared in court today on four felony counts of burglary that could net him up to five years in prison if convicted. He did not enter a plea. Authorities say Langenbach bought LEGO sets at Target stores but covered their original bar codes with his own bar-code stickers to get a cheaper price. Examples of his thefts included a $US279 Millenium Falcon he bought for $US49 and a $US90 Anakin Skywalker set he got for $US35. When police obtained a search warrant for Langenbach's posh home south of San Francisco, they said they found hundreds of sets of the colorful toy bricks, many of which he sold on eBay under the name "tomsbrickyard". Authorities say Langenbach's house in San Carlos also was filled with LEGO creations he had built himself. Eight bags of bar code stickers were found in his car, police said. Langenbach works for German software giant SAP. His LinkedIn profile lists him as a vice president in a Northern California division. He was already under surveillance by Target security officers who suspected him of the scheme when they spotted him at the chain's Mountain View store May 8. After he completed his purchases using the bogus bar codes, the store called police and Langenbach was arrested, authorities said. "This particular crime, the way it was done, the sophistication, the amount of expenditure in time and money to do it, suggests there's something way beyond money that motivated him to do it," supervising deputy district attorney Cindy Seeley Hendrickson said. Attempts to reach Langenbach, who is free on bail, were unsuccessful. it's crossed my mind a few times! this guy pushed the envelope further than i would dare too. first lego crime i have ever heard of before
