  1. So, after what felt like an eternity the rebuild to red is finally complete: I had to use the full extent of my Powers of the Dark Side to get all the nececary bricks in red color. So no, I am sorry there will never be instructions for the Red Version. I did some minor visual modifications while I was at it as well
  2. When your attention span finally is > 5mins and you reach galaxy brain level *insert "its big brain time" meme here*
  3. Why do people keep bringing this up? The new diff is only good for RC purposes, while the old diff gears up less and is thus the right choice for a manual model. The new diff would introduce more friction to the drivetrain, and I bet there will already more than enough friction as it is. So why make things worse?
  4. I just looked up the price on the LEGO website yesterday, and it said 229.95€, sooo idk, I dont know prices out of my head... https://www.lego.com/de-de/product/rough-terrain-crane-42082 Right, this thing is even motorized...Oof. I loved these tiny turbo boxes that turned into a piece of road, with actual pinholes on the sides... Sadly I only ever got 2 in total, but I still have them :)
  5. While having cool packaging is nice, I'd rather have a shoebox and no podcast or whatever and pay 150 bucks less. But I wont be getting it anyways, too expensive and weirdly colored for a parts donor... I dont get it, how can the Rough Terrain Crane 42082 have more pieces and cost like 150 bucks less? Surely even Lamborghini isn't asking that much for a license?
  6. Lol to me the female half of a joint like this was always the one the other part of the joint "goes inside of", and the male half the one that goes inside. I dont care what mounting options the joint has, be it a 12L axle, to me the piece would still be female...
  7. And the only reason it is used is because the female piece has a longer axle lol
  8. Honestly if you need a cluth gear/ linear clutch in your manual models it just means you are not 100% confident with its reliability
  9. @ibessonov the rear 2x2 tile already looks like a sticker to me tbh... Zoom in on it, there are some edges visible where a sticker would end. Cant see it well though.
  10. Well how about using 2L axle connectors in the middle? Then a normal 8L axle in black could be used...I dont get why they would do this....
  11. Part of the door machanism is visible - looks to me like they'll use a 6L link to push the door upwards.
  12. Those colors would actually be useful, so it is not gonna happen
  13. There is no way I would ever forget Lamborghinis origin story, so awesome Too bad the Porsche wheel arches would be a better fit for the eclipse than the new ones...But knowing you your model wouldn't be in 1:8 scale anyways, so it does not matter
  14. There is no way this thing can drive corners, right? And I bet the rails are just for looks, and he used the wheels without flanges so the wheels are still level when driving on the ground.
  15. Wow, very nice! I love the plants slowly crawling up the walls
  16. Damn, new supercar is released and the only MOCers that like the color are the tractor guys
  17. @mihao I alredy thought there wouldn't be enough space behind the LED Still a big improvement imo, nice.
  18. Okay, so I'm gonna be honest: It would have taken some imagination to recognize this as a Ford GT. I think that's because the most radical design element of the real car isn't visible that well on this model: The massive holes between the body and the rear wheel arches. But I know stuff like this is very hard to do, especially in such a small scale, where space is an issue to begin with. Also the first thing I noticed looking at the model was that the headlights look "blind" if you know what I mean. I know you need space for the LED, but like this there is only black inside the headlights. Could the LED moved back 1 more stud, and then you could put maybe a transparent 1x1 round brick in front of the LED mount? Other than that it looks pretty good imo.
  19. Very nice! Is it only a digital model? Or did you build it from bricks as well? If you did, please post a vid driving
  20. Very nice! I showed this to my dad (Huge train enthusiast), and he liked it a lot
  21. What the hell dude, this thing is...different? There are more functions crammed into this thing than I can keep count of while reading. For me LEGO Technic MOC building is all about making compromises. Sometimes you have to compromise on the looks a little for function. Other times you may have to scrap a function to get the desired look. But it should always be in balance, to create a beautiful Model, both inside and outside. And most importantly: everything has to be stable and reliable. Your focus was only on cramming in more functions, and that's why the outside looks absolutely terrible, I am sorry. And it does not look like is has a lot of structural integrity as well, I can't see any reinforcements in the belly shot. While I do respect the build, I do not like it. It is just too one-sided for my taste.
  22. That wouldn't be something I would call "progress". Scamming your customers would be more fitting imo.
