  1. @Peppermint_Mthats fair
  2. Ooh, so I didn't understand right. Cool idea making pieces in different colors for fun. Someone should do this kind of thing for the porsche+lambo wheel arches
  3. So do I understand this correctly: These motors were never planned by TLG, but you and some other dudes just made them for fun in a empty LEGO supplier's factory?
  4. The Bugatti/Lambo wheels do work if you use the new disc brake wheel hub piece
  5. While these are intresting for sure I think having a single rotating stud and no other attachment points is pretty terrible
  6. The porsche/Bugatti/Lambo wheels are the same diameter, and none other will do. You'd have to get the correct wheel hub combo to use the Bugatti/Lambo wheels tho, watch out. I'd say: Just get the porsche wheels on Bricklink, or buy them on Aliexpress if you can't (or dont want to) afford the other options.
  7. I need some help. I want to render my MOC made in LDCad with a transparent background for the front page of the building instructions. I know Stud.io can do this, I have done it before, but Stud.io can not work with the flex axles used in my MOC. What tool do you recommend that can work with LDCad's flex axle Models and render the model with a transparent background? I need a tutorial as well :o Thanks for your help in advance :)
  8. Yeah I dont get why they cheaped out on quality in the last few year(s). Top notch quality is the only reason why most people buy original LEGO, and are willing to pay these crazy prices instead of buying competitor Bricks from china for a fraction of the price. (I think)
  9. I dont think having a locked diff on a Motorcycle with Sidecar like this is a good idea if you want to actually steer Also isn't this a MOD of the LEGO Harley Davidson Fat Boy? In my eyes this is a Creator set and does not belong in the "Technic and Model Team" section of EB. Adding a Motor to something does not make it Technic. Its a cool project tho, I have to admit. I think this is the first time I have seen a RC modded Fat Boy, and bet it is a lot of fun to play with!
  10. My guess is someone got them from china. I didn't find them at the first place I'd usually look for something like this, but I still believe you could source there from china if you really wanted to. Tell your friend to check the bricks for LEGO markings to confirm they are legitimate
  11. @Didumos69 on the C3 the Mudguards would fit nicely on the front wheels, but the rear? I dont think so, the door is awfully close to the rear wheel arches. It would be off ~2 studs if you were to were to use them. I think the damn color will be a huge problem for MOCing. There are too many pieces not available in this weird green.
  12. That can really happen? I use 6 speed manual transmissions in my MOCs, and that never happened to me, and I shift while driving a lot. (Granted, my designs are very low friction, that might help ) But I played with some 8 speed sequential transmission test mules as well, and that never happened to me as well. Intresting...
  13. @jb70 Very nice, the inclusion of a center diff was very important imo. I know this won't be easy, but I dont understand why somebody would use 2x 8T gear in their drivetrain. These should be replaced to reduce resistance in the drivetrain imo.
  14. @magdy you could get the wheels from the Land Rover Defender id you want... It would require some mods, but the tire size is the same.
  15. @agrof @BrickMonkeyMOCs why not replace the 3 16t gears in a row with 12t - 20t clutch - 12t and use 2x 16t to drive the crankshaft? That should work.
  16. Neither can any of us. We just use google translate. If you wanna know how to order at GoBricks, you can PM me and I'll try to explain. But maybe it is better to ask @FX6000, since both of you could talk in your mother tongue. I am from Germany, and my english might reach its limits...
  17. Finally someone who knows what has to be done
  18. For anyone intrested in the Tan bevel gear thing, this thread exists: further discussion could also continue there.
  19. No, I like it quite a lot actually. The 36z gear is a bevel gear, so it has to be thick (unlike the 16 clutch gear ). I dont see myself using it in a drivetrain, but it is very useful for the steering mechanism. I used it in my NSX and my RX7 for that purpose
  20. I dont know if calculations with friction force and surface preassure are really relevant here or not, since ideally there should exist no force pushing your gears against their mounts. I always sucked at physics in school XD All I know is that it is good to reduce the places where unneccecary friction could occur in your drivetrain as far as possible
  21. I just think this is hilarious...I normaly dont click a link with no description, but I do it this once, and it was just so random
  22. The F*ck did I just watch Edit: I am done laughing, so you wanna explain what the hell this is?
  23. The new style has the clutch entry on both sides, so one side will be lined up against a liftarm and couse additional friction. The old style only has the clutch entry on only one side, so the side that will face the liftarm will only touch in the very middle. The old szyle just has less contact surface that can cause friction.
  24. Yes they can run smooth. But from my experience, based on nothing but my feel while building, the older lg/lbg ones run a bit better than black or tan ones.
