  1. Wow, thats large!! Can the drive motor handle the weight? Could you explain some more about the "gearbox" on the pictures? Is it a manual gearbox, or am I far off and it not being a gearbox after all? -ED-
  2. Very nice model! I love the originality of it! Would it be possible to use wheels in some way to improve its movement? I suggest using a single wheel moving slowly to help it move as there is a lot of slipping on the inner legs... Keep up the good work! -ED-
  3. Should be no problem, depending on how heavy the flail is to run... I guess it's mostly for a visual effect, and that should not draw to much power. As said before, if you can do it with a AA BB with 1,2 volt AA cells, it should be no problem. -ED-
  4. Here... It is expensive, and there are way cheaper ways to make a return to center system. However, the "hockey spring" is very compact, and easy to mount. -ED-
  5. Return to center spring to reduce play in the steering wheels. The servo has quite a long driveline, and the RTC spring helps increase control over the wheels, and makes it easier to center them. -ED-
  6. I was dissapointed with the 1H sets, with exception of the Volvo loader, but the 2H sets... They are better than I ever hoped! I'll have to buy several of each. This might be the most expensive Lego year yet. -ED-
  7. Very interesting model. Hope you can pull it off in time for the competition. This will probably be one of my favorites. -ED-
  8. You are indeed right! I was never aware... Definitively a "legal" solution then. -ED-
  9. Pics of the final model are added to the opening post. Have a look and comment! Video will follow in a few days. Here's a sample... -ED-
  10. This is suddenly a lot more interesting! Thanks for the pics. It's looking really good, specially from a technical perspective. It may be a bit slow if I see the gearing correct. Have you tested the speed of it? Is there a possibility to see a pic without the side panels on the frame? -ED-
  11. Probably not, as the PF receiver has no speed controller for brushless motors. -ED-
  12. It is definitively getting one of my voted! Great work, but I miss the white "rims". Great work! -ED-
  13. Sorry, I did not intend to come off as offending. It's just that I'm getting tired of all the teasers that are floating around. I much prefer to see real WIP shots as they say a lot more about the design of the model, not to mention the technical solutions visible in all their glory... I do like the few peeks that we have got'n, I just want more! And that should be a compliment! :) -ED-
  14. Aren't dose wipers a little short? The design seems nice, but I think you have over complicated the drive train to the steering wheel. There is going to be a lot of play using six gear changeovers to connect it. I would like to see the whole model, even WIP, and not only these annoying teasers. I tend to lose interest when I have to wait "for ever" for it... -ED-
  15. I think it lost a little of it's presence without the red mudguards, but still an amazing model. Probably the most outstanding supercar I've seen. I would love to see a pic of the underside. -ED-
  16. You wouldn't happen to have a picture from the rear? I have an idea that should fit, but I'm not sure it will look the part. Would be nice to see before I go through the trouble of mocing it up... Nice start however. Have you ever used the train remote? It is very slow in activating a servo. Almost hopeless to steer with. If you don't have it already I suggest you spend the money towards a Sbrick in stead. The Sbrick will give you many more opportunities, and may even solve the problem with only wanting 50% movement on the servo. When it comes out of alpha we are supposed to be able to program it to some extent... -ED-
  17. Build it in LDD and some of us might take a look at it. I can already see a couple of possibilities, but I can't confirm them before I have a better understanding of your build... -ED-
  18. There isn't that big a difference between the models (both are 3 axle trucks), but I agree on the color scheme. I can't remember any other models with that... -ED-
  19. The back section of the cabin will be actually be made in two versions, one for PF and a nicer one for Sbrick. I would like to know what you think of the steering column as well. The real Linde forklifts have hydraulic steering, and I think the flex axle is a nice representation of this, but it requires a 24 tooth gear that doesn't really fit in... Would it be better to drop the steering altogether? or is the function worth the ugliness of the gears? -ED-
  20. OP is updated with new pics of the final iteration of of the model. Only a few minor cosmetic changes are left before I call the model done. I would like to here what you think, and please give me a hint if there is anything you see the need to change. -ED-
  21. Hi, Are parts from the Znap line allowed? I've never seen any Znap sets (They only existed for two years in my dark age), but I have a part from that line I want to use... It's not vital, but adds a nice extra function. -ED-
  22. LOL!! That's so true... I can't remember any of Apples competitors in any marked ever been declared as outright dangerous... To the topic. It's very nice if the fruit company can push GoPro and it's competitors to make smaller, lighter cameras of the same or better quality. I just hope it doesn't affect their light sensitivity. Shrinking the size of cameras often do... -ED-
  23. This is shaping up nicely. What battery box are you going for? And where are you placing it? -ED-
  24. There seems to be much better movement of forks now. Good work. I'm excited to see what else you will do with the chassis. Is there a adder/subtractor mechanism, or similar to prevent vertical movement of the forks when sliding them horizontally? If there is, can you show us? I'm thinking of building such a mechanism for a tower crane, so it would be interesting to see it. -ED-
  25. 42025! I won't give you any supercar parts (steering, suspention, hubs etc), but it will give you a heck lots of parts... I would still grab the 8070 if I where you, at least get some of those A-arms on bricklink. They are exceptionally nice for making advanced steering geometry. -ED-
