  1. My Vostok rocket hit 1,111 supporters today.
  2. Looks wonderful! Much better than this year's official modular set.
  3. Well, this dagger piece is immediately recognizable as the Dagger of Time from Prince of Persia, nevertheless it was later used in another theme. And Lego specifically calls this hair piece "Luke Skywalker Wig" even though it has been used in lots of non-SW sets. I have no idea what other themes could possibly need pink or golden guns for, but I wouldn't exclude the possibility just yet.
  4. How do you know they are licensed parts? So far they've only been used as Star Wars blasters of course, but they don't closely resemble a specific model. They seem much more generic to me than, for example, SW head or helmet molds.
  5. After looking up the measurements of the head of the real Statue of Liberty I've got to say this model is surprisingly close to minifigure scale!
  6. According to a poll on Promobricks, these are the best and worst sets of 2018: Worst: 1. Betrayal at Cloud City (219 votes) 2. Bugatti Chiron (150 votes) 3. First Order AT-ST (132 votes) 4. App-Controlled Batmobile (117 votes) 5. James Bond Aston Martin DB5 (73 votes) Best: 1. Hogwarts Castle (173 votes) 2. Roller Coaster (132 votes) 3. Downtown Diner (93 votes) 4. Ninjago City Docks (92 votes) 5. Pop-Up-Book (89 votes)
  7. Most of the rooms of the UCS castle don't actually seem to be that much smaller than the ones in the Great Hall and Whomping Willow sets to me. Just remove all the tiny chairs and tables and replace the nanofigures by minifigures. At least that's what I did:
  8. Underwater present delivery:
  9. Comic versions of the Duck and Mouse characters are high on my wishlist. The minifigures released so far seem to be based either on Disney's ugly stock images or on the cartoons, yet at least in Europe the comics are way more popular. How about: Scrooge McDuck - Klondike outfit (Don Rosa) Donald Duck - black sailor suit, longer bill (Carl Barks, Don Rosa) Mickey Mouse - with shirt (Italian comics) Scrooge McDuck - red frock coat (Carl Barks, Don Rosa)
  10. One of the pilots who quickly dies during the battle of Coruscant seems to have these red and yellow markings (03:51-03:53 on the PAL DVD). There is also a rendered promotional image of him that appears in several publications.
  11. I removed all the tiny chairs and tables and replaced the microfigures with minifigures, and I think most of the rooms look quite good this way. At least I don't see any reason to buy the less accurate Great Hall and Whomping Willow sets just to have "minifigure scale" buildings - the scale doesn't actually seem all that different to me.
  12. I guess that explains why I'm not getting any new votes at all now...
  13. Picture 1, picture 2. But yeah, a set based on the walkers seen on Felucia would have been great.
  14. It looks like no-one wants to use the mutual support thread anyway, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ In other news, since the site was updated my project has been getting on average 1.4 new votes per day. Before that I remember it being 8-10 per day. Have your projects recovered from the drop in votes that people were reporting after the update?
  15. @bountybossk I like that layout! Now, Cloud City is a set I've been waiting for for years... But unfortunately I think this model looks very inconsistent and unfinished. It's not as fragmented as Assault on Hoth, but the design is just as bad in many places. And compared to the Death Star (which as we know is a design that's more than 10 years old) it looks even more studdy, and the room layout isn't as well-thought-out. I'm not fond of the Slave I design either. If I was able to vote I'd rate this set "below average"... I think I'm going to buy Hogwarts Castle instead.
  16. Every time I try to vote the poll just disappears, and as long as I'm signed in it won't show me the results either. Am I doing something wrong?
  17. @Modeltrainman Thank you! Are you going to post a link to one of your projects as well? It looks like this didn't catch on quite as well yet as I would've expected. I wonder what percentage of the 1700 active Ideas projects is by Eurobricks members anyway...
  18. Could anyone who has both of the 2018 Dumbledore minifigures take a picture of the CMF one with the hair piece of the Richard Harris one? I'd like to know what he looks like without the hat.
  19. Here's a render of the Vostok and Saturn V rockets side by side - the scale should be pretty similar: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/0630bb23-59e5-4eb4-8ba0-a1c88c5e8602/updates
  20. That was the plan. Voting for, I don't know, 100 projects doesn't seem so bad if one really gets the same number of votes in return.
  21. Since the thread hasn't been closed or moved in 14 hours, I presume it's okay... Let's see if it catches on! So, yeah, I'll support yours if you support mine: Vostok 1 - The First Manned Spaceflight Projects supported so far: Up to and including "Kiko - Cowabunga TMNT Modular Sewage"
  22. I'm kind of surprised that no "mutual aid threads" seem to have formed yet, where everyone would be allowed to post his best project and in turn pledges to support all other projects in the thread.
  23. I've only gotten one new vote on my latest project since the update, which is very unusual. Maybe people are struggling to re-activate their accounts? Or certain projects somehow lost their visibility? (Or maybe the counter itself isn't displaying properly anymore?)
  24. Ideas seems to be online again, but if I try to sign into my account it says something like "Thanks for signing up for a free LEGO® Account" and asks me to type in a new activation code. Is this normal?
  25. Just a quick MOC I built today, after reading a comment that went like "Fire Station? What's next, a Winter Village Jailhouse?"
