  1. This is amazing. You planned the layout perfectly, everything fits together like it was build all together from the very beginning. One thing that I love the most when looking at such dioramas is the illusion of looking at a whole large town, even if it's only one (impressive) part of it. The observer just adds the rest of the city in his imagination. That's something one cannot reach with building skills only. For this effect you need lots of fantasy and imagination yourself. Perfect work guys. For me this even tops last year's Katoren layout.
  2. Another excellent keep! The colour scheme is superb. I especially like how well the sand green goes with the light blue colour of the half timbered structures.
  3. If it's not too late maestro, I would make a thicker trunk for that one tree on the tower. Also you could make the leaves on the thin hose trees less symmetrical to make it look more natural. And if you have, put trans clear plates or tiles on the water and then raise the shore so it's still one plate higher than the water. I really like the collapsed tower ruin.
  4. I know the refit version from Star Trek Online and it is indeed a wonderful design. I love how it fits the role of a link between the NX and the Constitution class by adding the hull section. It must have been fun to build the one design right from the other. Good work! Perhaps you are now interested in building the Discovery from the upcoming new tv show of the same name? I would love to finally see a model of it.
  5. Well, I'm for burning. I don't think anybody has ever tried to do this. Techbically it would work I guess, the cutting edge would be covered by the stem. But there's the problem: the only thing that would become wider would be the stem. And you would also have to cut the midddle sections in half. Please return to the path of the righteous and deny such blasphemous thoughts.
  6. I would erase the 'u'. If it's just about some scoundrels who appear to be native mitgardians, yes, mitgardian raiders is fine.
  7. Nobody has to follow any general rules how to call something, except it's stated by staff, given through the story or it's about a player's personal lore. But of course everybody can use those nexo goblins as something different and call it by a different name. This was just an idea to give people who use them as generic citizens/warriors without pointing out their race and backstory something they can build on. If some people want to use them as their main figures for their personal lore and give them different backstories and names that's totally fine. Nobody is forced to follow an official nomenclature of the tribes and races of Nocturnus (which does not exist).
  8. Now that the nexo figures are back in discussion: we were looking for a name for that race a few months ago, now that they became generic citizen of Nocturnus.
  9. It seems you're the one I've been waiting for. The one who actually brings the Elvish nation of Avalonia to life. They were kind of underrepresented for a while now. The forest display fits well for enchanted elven woods. Hope to see larger parts of your Elven settlement in the future.
  10. I first read gatehouse and was wondering about the building. But a greathouse is really something different. Typical Mitgardian both in architecture and function. Once again your bbuilding style enriches Mitgardia with a wonderful new structure. Like blufiji mentioned this scandinavian look is very enjoyable and gives it this clearly Mitgardian feel.
  11. I don't mind seeing another supporter of the Spire. But don't be embarassed when someone puts Raavage's head on a spike. You've done a great sigfig. The Shredder armor fits excellent. Also your little vignette promises highly skilled builds for the future.
  12. Aye, that bombard didn't upset anyone. But as I mentioned in an earlier discussion about steampunk elements, it was more a combination of bloack magic and alchemy. The borders between magic and technology are fluent, something Tolkien depicted wonderfully in his work. Look at Saruman. That's the level of technology that fits into the guilds. But literally steampunk, machines which are actually self propelled by an engine- that's probably too much, simply because there would be no end. With that technology you could do anything and soon we would have cars and airplanes travelling from guild to guild. The challenge is to find ways to depict your ideas that fit in this world. If you want to travel the sky, you do not need airships or steam power. Think of Lego's very first fantasy castle theme, the Fright Knights. They had dragons carrying flying machines. It looked ridiculous, but you may get the spirit. Or simply use a gryphon. The whole fantasy setting offers so many possibilities that you really don't need steampunk. Just use a bit of magic and maybe some fantasy creatures. About the brick built character thing: though it is always stated that you shall create a sig fig to join the guilds, and a sig fig is per definitionem a minifigure, I really don't see any reason why a brick built character should violate the rules. If you want to be a giant, I think it would be awesome to see it brick built. And nobody ever asked if he could be a dragon. I don't see why that should be a problem. It would surely be an enrichment for the game. Thinking out of the box is always a great thing. as for regular sig figs: don't make your character an invincible, immortal super superior awesome godlike hero nobody can challenge. That's something so mundane everybody should know without mentioning it.
  13. The challenge is not open anymore, but you can still do the required builds as introduction of your character if you like.
  14. Congrats to this deal, really something to get one jealous. Looking forward to your builds.
  15. What's the condition? Heavily played? Like new? With boxes/instructions? If the parts are in good condition I say it would be a very good deal. The king's castle and troll fortress alone were 100 €/$ sets. It also depends on if the figures fit your fantasy/castle taste. For me the troll for example are useless but many people like them. And with that haul you would get solid armies for several factions at once. The parts in any case are worth tthe price. You wouldn't be able to buy them separately on bricklink for the same money.
  16. Could you link to the part on BL or give us a wip?
  17. Give me some time to look over it. I will mark the borders on your map ant post it here.
  18. Ah yes, I've read about your decision. Then we should make this an epic final for your character. Even if it's an awful spoiler now. By the way, can I have the corpse of Alric if he falls? Maybe as undead character that remains in Nocturnus?
  19. I was under the impression that the guild tags and elite tags would be awarded again to people playing through book II. But I have forgotten what the conditions are for claiming those. @Titus, I can't promise you that any of your men will see the green fields again. War in Nocturnus is a bit nastier than catching scoundrels in Avalonia.
  20. Prepare for that vermin to return and kick Avalonian butts. Lord Osric used a bombard once to break through the walls of Eastgate. But it was rather primitive and needed a lot of magic like a fire mage to enlight it. And the rats built a flame thrower to defeat the Algus.
  21. Impressive dragon! I think this is the first yellow brick built dragon I have ever seen- or is it gold? I would love to see a pic ogf him from the side. Also good job on the landscape!
  22. Deus ex Gothia, hehe, last minute resque. Nice job on the chairs.
  23. Nice hut! Clever use of that cape for the entrance. The roof is maybe a bit flat. Without a slight angle, the rain probably run inside the house!
