[SR-FB2]-May '16-'Big Tobacco's' Schraebitz Plantation
Jacob Nion replied to Kwatchi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Even a pirate loves his Oma. When looking at builds with dense jungle lurking in one corner, I'm always searching for the native islander hiding in there. Either there is none or his camouflage is excellent. -
Winners Annouced! Corrington vs. Carno Build-off
Jacob Nion replied to Kai NRG's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Benjamin Morgan volunteers for Carno. -
In the case of cultural buildings upgrading means that you first have to build a small, license it, then build the medium, unlicense the small, license the medium instead and so on. As far as I understand same with fortresses.

It's the 4A King of Mardier. With a far cooler pirate name. -
4x Schweinsteiger? How likely can it be that I get the entire amount of one figure in one box by only buying 8 figs? sigh

Again some of the most impressive brick built trees I've ever seen! If I call you a tree lover that's in no way meant as the usual mocking of Avalonian folk. You really have a talent for landscaping. There is an unresitable atmosphere surrounding your build that makes your story even more enjoyable. Great job in both building and creating high fantasy.

Impressive micro scale! The surrounding water is especially very well executed. The trans clear parts make it appear like a lone isle in the middle of the sea. The ship is also a neat build. When micro scale structures make me imagine to walk through the gates and standing on the walls, it's for sure a superb done work.

I'm impressed how well the differently coloured leaves are working together. I myself would have been too afraight of so much colour, but it adds something very unique to the landscape. Same for the large display's base; to combine two square baseplates this way is very smart. All too often I struggle to design something on a whole square base, especially on the front area. You acoided this by so to say cutting out the front and only using the ground you need for the structures. Really well executed work.

[ESL-FB2] Crawling from the Wreckage
Jacob Nion replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That is sad! But the depiction of the impact is really well done. The small flames surrounding the centre of the explosion make it reasonable what happened. And in all this chaos not a single bottle is broiken! These must be some very sturdy glass domes.- 10 replies

[COR - FB LDD] Chief's Longhouse
Jacob Nion replied to SilentWolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This looks very accurate to historical sources. Excellent job! I like that besides the popular islander subtheme there's still room for an interpretation of north american native's culture.- 10 replies

First I thought it was looking a bit plain. But then I read the description and I must say it's great how you depicted the pdoblematic agricultural conditions and how to solve them. Very smart work. And the elevation feels very natural.

[SR-FB3] The first settlers of Moray's Den
Jacob Nion replied to Jacob Nion's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks KB Thank you very much! It's always hard for me to write outdated english to sound like a 18th century pirate. Thanks! Thank you, there's indeed abranchwood under it. Mainly brown axle connectors Thank you guys. Thanks! I hope it will explode, my settlement will definitely and soon need supplies. Thank you very much. I wanted to try some new water technique with the 1x1 round plates, something different than just throwing them in losely. My men are tough and seaworthy :) Thanks, haha, I guess piggies are my fvourite lego animal so far. But I wished there would be some sort of game from lego. Ahoy captain! Thank you! Yep I can't wait to moc some actual structures. Thank you! Thanks Cap. My inspiration in general was the fact that it was a common naval strategy to set out pigs on islands to have an ongoing food ssupply. The hunt for those pigs was a reason why the real historic buccaneers became excellent sharpshooters. And as you probably know, the word buccaneer refers to the native's word for the wooden grill on which the pigs were roasted.- 17 replies
