Looks like a serious fight! Its nice to see painted elven ears in a MOC. The brown backwards combed hairpiece which the guy with the pauldron has, is that a custom? Where is it from?
-
That is wise! I completely overlooked the snow in the set. Must have been blinded by the figs.

There are only 7 lots on bricklink for the new horse helmet, none of them in Germany! Hmpf. I hope the sets hit Germany very soon.

Hmm, not too spectacular, this set. The shields however are the first EVER with a sigil that directly identifies with the sea. There were viking shields before, yes, but they had pattern or dragons on it (which might be sea snakes or not). I would like to see some regiments with these new shields, various kinds of sea guards. Not bad. The new helmet looks awkward, but It might be useful for scenarios with snow and ice. Due to his red and gold colour, the harbour master looks like a metrosexual version of Haldir. Too bad he has this big tie, it will be hard to make him a warrior.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
Wardancer replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Interesting that after each reveal, people call the line revealed the best ever. To me, some figs are well done, but it is finally a line that I will not need a single fig of. I appreciate the usage of a crow. Swarms (which I am trying at the moment) will be much cheaper to build than buying loads of Tontos. Maybe the policemans helmet looks nice if painted silver. Do we think the pretzel girls skirt is cloth? It looks solid somehow, which would be a new approach. -

BrickWarriors - Tons of new items!

I am about to place my first order ever. Although I personally find BWs style a bit too distinct (I always feel the urge to cut off the spikes from BW products), some of the ideas are just too good. Greaves and vambraces are awesome and of course antlers are a must for me. -
Lego Creator Expert 10234 Sydney Opera House

I have never been into the architecture sets, but now... wow! This may be an alternative to Orthanc. Nicer colours. But it needs so much space. And it goes completely into a different direction than my history interests. Unless... I throw out all the glass parts and the lampposts, add a bit greenery and make it an ancient elf temple. I could see this as a sci-fi structure as well. A designer version of say... the shield generators on Hoth. Or put a few ewok trees around it, a few rebels against AT-STs, why not?- 127 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
Wardancer replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hmm, I had hoped to make something like icezombieyetimonsters. This is too cute though. -
Yes, the snake is rather a symbol for evil. That keeps me from using it, too. If you are into customizing, you could take the evil knight boar shield and glue/paint/decal something over the boar head.

Here is an overview: http://www.rittersets.de/wappen.html The Slytherin shield might be an addition if you want a dark green color scheme.

Preordered a Council of Elrond at amazon Germany for 36,99 incl shipping. Bought a giant eagle at ebay for 12 Euro. Not cheap, but I am eager to attach the wings to a horse to make a pegasus.

Review: 79006 Council of Elrond
Wardancer replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks for the review. I am about to order this now. A question about the stickers: The stickers on the chairs, are they a golden print on a transparent sheet (so that the colour below shines through) or are they golden print on solid reddish brown print? Edit: BL answered my question. The background is clear. These stickers on a 2x4 tile will make fine elven tower shields. -
If I see this right, the knights legs are first armor printed legs in dark bley. Too bad they look kind of simple. This set is the cheapest way to get a dragon at the moment I guess. Smaug will be more expensive (and have his own mold like the horntail). Maybe I'll buy and try some spraypainting techniques as the red is too extreme for my taste.
-
Your pictures are so vibrant the colours almost sting my tired eyes. The only thing this set does for me introducing the horse helmet in a small set so that BL prices will be not too high. Painting will be necessary though, the red is unbearable.

Wow, this must have been a lot of work. Very good.

Very good. Convinced me straight away. Love it.

A few minor things: - A nice employee girl in a Lego store sold me a big PAB-cup for the price of a small one. Apparently, they wanted to clear some of the shelves. Got a full load of reddish brown 2x2 and 2x4 plates. - Got a Tauriel and a Rohan soldier off ebay for 9 Euro. In Germany, that is a very good deal.
-
Very good. I would buy these at once. Better that the arealight ones!

Lord of the Rings Rohirrim soldiers batch 1
Wardancer replied to Propicz89's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I like the overall color scheme. It would be very awesome if that helmet were available for real. How do your custom cape work with a quiver? Without wrinkling the cape I mean. Using torsos backwards can yield great results, I like that you did it with thr gray one on the right. Nice idea, I might copy that. -
Very good. Excellent selection of hairstyles. On flickr you mentioned that you traded this axe. Does anybody know where this is from?
