  1. Interesting to hear that. I thought it was kind of commonplace to dislike pearl gold. I have looked forward to some pieces in the past and was disappointed when I saw the real thing. The Aztec Warrior for example, so much gold and yet it looked very cheap. It doesn't look real. Yesterday I tried to give a fig with the black/gold speckled atlantis armor a pearl gold sword and it does not go well together. Anyway, I don't want to go offtopic. I had just hoped the horse helmets were metallic gold as the ones before.
  2. The dragon is growing on me. I have never dared to customize one of the old dragon because they are too expensive, maybe this is the chance to try it. It will most likely be cheaper and therefore less risky if I mess it up. PS: The horse helmets are pearl gold. This sucks. I hate pearl gold.
  3. Wonderful. Love the wyvern and the warg scene!

  5. Hi Everyone, I have decided to get rid of some regiments you might find interesting. 1. 6 Minotaurs with weapons and additional Brickwarrior accessories, 22 Euro Picture here: http://kleinanzeigen...1060506-23-4713 2. Kingdoms 2012 Lion Knights Up to 18 knights with weapons and shields. 2,00 Euro per fig 3. 10 CMF Black Knights, 25 Euro - no swords, only 3 helmets, rest complete 4. 2 Orcs from Warg attack and Yazneg - with weapons, 15 Euro for all three Also I have a few CMF: Hazmat guy, Spacemarine, 3 Actecs Also I have a LEGO STAR WARS Luke Skywalker (Celebration) - White Pupils. All figs in good condition, never been played with, only handled by adult collector (me). Also for some reason I have a lot of fleshie heads. 10 Mirkwood elf heads, Theoden, Haldir, all the ones from the last Hogwarts. Buyers in Germany will be preferred, buyers who buy most will of course be preferred. Euro is ok as well, overseas might be complicated. I am not selling single figs, this is not worth the effort. Prices are negotiatable to some extend. If you own a bricklink store in Germany I am willing to trade. Also I am looking for an Elrond.
  6. I would take pearl gold katanas and shorten them a bit with a scalpel.
  7. Thanks for the pictures. They show an earlier stage I think, because the dragon is the older version and some of the torsos are just plain blue.
  8. Maybe the dragon knights can be combined with the CMF black knight colorwise. Boars and dragons, why not? I like that the new barding is wavy at the bottom edge. I hope they make it in more neutral colors soon. The black one from the joust and the dark green one from Kingdoms have nice color schemes. Also I like the flags made from fabric.
  9. Are we sure that these are two types and not just 2 colours? It is hard to believe they make two horse helmets at the same time. But it looks like the red one has more evil eye holes than the golden one. What do you guys think?
  10. I see some tan stair pieces, I do not now if they are new in this color. The dragon in the pictures has a different print than the old ones. I guess that meas it is final. The print reminds me of typical dino prints.
  11. Interesting that they stick to the old dragon mold. I have two old green ones and a horntail and they look very dragonish to me. I have never liked the wormlike dragons like e.g. in Warhammer. The new one seems to be able to fit a big flame in his mouth which the old ones (at least the ones I have) could not. It would be great to fit more than one fig on a dragon, but one would have to moc/customize that. Is the red one a possible Smaug? I hope not.
  12. The bardings are too colorful for my personal taste, but it is good to know that the mold exists. I am not sure but I think there are no dark bley legs with armor print, so these might be useful. Correct if I am wrong.
  13. Hmm, in comparison to the ultra detailled lotr figs these look sub par. I am very happy that they make horse equipment. I do not like the horse helmet entirely, the socket for the extra plume is too big.
  14. I think the Dead Men's helmets look more like real sand green than that half white glowing stuff.
  15. Hmm hard to write something that has not been said but I'll try: - the white hairpiece will make a good female one if you cut off the beard, then you can have a female elf with white hair - the dead soldiers' legs look interesting, I wish I could get a better look. Maybe some new kind of living solider can be made with these legs. I wonder what torso to combine with these olive green legs. I am going to buy the council and bricklink the sand green capes. And of course eagles if there will be any. Although it is weird that giant eagles are bigger than griffins.
  16. Sand green capes will be very welcome. There is no mention of the eagle on FBTB which worries me a bit.
  17. I agree that the eagle looks very suitable to make a giant eagle for LOTR. But it does have some minor flaws IMHO. Some colour coherence could be better, some surface could be tiles instead of studs and many users do not really like the head. This would be a honourable task for moccers: Enhance the fierce flyer eagle even more to make the ultimate LOTR eagle. I would love to see your suggestions if there are any.
  18. I was quite happy with 4842 Hogwarts. 1300 pieces a lot of rare tan bricks, also the green whose name i just forgot lots of figures, owls, accessories, capes I bought one for 85 euro (original price 130), sold of the 2 dementors for 16 euro, so I got almost 1300 pieces for just under 70 Euro.
  19. Hmm, the eagle's wings look nice, the rest seems very preliminary. I do not believe it will stay that way, this would be way below all animals released in the last months (dinos, bear, new horse). They were all good, no way they will mess up the eagle.
  20. Interesting. I have known about this method for a while, but I thought it would disappear. The only advantage I see is that you don't have to wrinkle the bags. But besides that, I prefer feeling in combination with dot verification (per box or shop as dots change).
  21. Ohhh, I didn't realise that connection. Ok, I changed my mind. Who needs a context when you can have a golden bra?
  22. I hope they change the warrior woman a bit. I welcome every fighting woman as much as all of us do , but she looks a bit... for lack of a better word... plain. I don't mean boobwise. She appears to have no direct historical context, no specific heraldry apart from that bird, not specific story behind her. I love reddish brown because it is part of my armys color scheme, but the warrior woman could use some more different color. I will buy lots of her anyway and change her, but this just crossed my mind. Her head might make a good (the first?) yellow female elf head due to the lines on the cheek.
  23. A good week this was: Haldir and King Theoden for 20 Euro which I consider a good price 12 Forest Maidens for the regular price of 2,49
  24. I cannot confirm that officially, but I only found 1 maiden in the only box of 30 that I went through. That proves nothing, the other maiden could have been taken out already. But the box still looked very new and full... I wonder if I should buy a few white knights for their armour.
  25. Yeah, but nowadays each box may have their own set of codes. So feel first, then identify the code and you can be sure that inside the same box or even the same show codes will be the same. To differenciate the maiden from the gypsy, you can also look for bow or shield. Or the other way around, as soon as you realise the tarot cards or the non bendable hair you can go on. I bought four more maidens today. Accidentally I bought a policeman because I mistook his bendable handcuffs for the maidens hair. Should have checked for the skirt better. PS: Now many sores have them in Germany. I have seen small and big boxes.
