  1. I am not sure if all the effort is necessary. Most custom figs are used for decoration only and regular paint will work as long as you dont bend the piece or play with it.
  2. Hmm, if they make Smaug with an own mold, I hope they do a better job than with the hungarian horntail. I own one and it is not a good mold. It cannot move the legs, the eyes are somewhat lifeless and it doesn't have a lighter colored underbelly as it is supposed to.
  3. I have painted rubber parts such as Thranduils hair. You can check the pictures if You Click on the Elvnoi Dozor Link in my Sig. I have used citatel paint from Games Workshop. It works very well. But I think every paint will crumble if you bend the piece. I have also painted the rubber crazy scientists hair with Revell enamel paint. It also crumbles when bent.
  4. I won't buy any figs for exaggerated prices from any hoarders. I still Hope BW releases the axe and the shield in different colors.
  5. Already?? What on earth? It was not even available for 2 days! Well, looks like I saved some money. I hope BW doesn't take it too serious with the limitations and releases the axe and the shields in other colors as regular items. This thread then can be closed and left to die.
  6. Hi everyone, the always cunning makers of BW have yet devised another way to make my heart ache: http://www.brickwarriors.com/Griff.aspx I desire some of these shields. However, I cannot afford buying lots of these limited figs. But... If someone was interested in the otherwise very awesome fig, we could split a few. I would pay EU 3 or USD 5 for one shield. This way, someone could power his price for the fig by 33% and maybe build an army. I could imagine 4-9 shields. I would also additonally take the axe if for some reason someone did not want it. This way, someone could lower his price for a fig even more. I live in Germany, but overseas would also be possible.
  7. Oh, this sucks. Had I collected 50 of these figs, I would be very angry as well.
  8. I like the mammoth. I hope I can use parts of the chima theme to make some evil demonic ice army. A white mammoth would be great for this.
  9. Beautiful, makes me want to pet his nose. The ears could be a bit bigger perhaps.
  10. Beautiful! Love the dress!
  11. They nailed it im terms of accuracy, it looks very much like the real thing. Of course the walls look very simple, that is because in "reality" they are drawn and therefore have no details or textures. Anyway, with me being 34 and all, my Simpsons time is somewhat over since the episodes changed very much in style (or I changed?). So I am not going to buy this. A lot of dark tan would be nice, but the Sydney Opera house does so too. So respect to the designers.
  12. Thanks for the review. I think reviewing a random instruction page could be omitted. Also pictures of unopened bags.
  13. How much does Capemadmess charge for custom printed capes? The price for the capes themselves I regarded as quite fair.
  14. What on earth?! Since I first saw this ship drifting by in short scenes of the original SW movies, I was faszinated. I have never seen a "model" which honors the original the way this awesome LEGO behemoth does.
  15. Thanks. Too bad, I would have liked to see a round shield in traslucent light blue.
  16. Cape Madness would be a try. I like them a lot, I have equipped many figs with their capes. On their store site, they give examples for custom prints: https://www.bricklin...asp?p=dingraham PS: I especially recommend their metallic capes, some of which can be seen if you click on the "Elvnoi Dozor" link in my signature.
  17. Is this a round translucent light Blue shield or just some flare effect?
  18. 7. viracocha - 1 20. gazumpty - 3 38. vecchiasignoraceppo - 1
  19. I would not need a review, because there is already one on EB.
  20. These are fingernail design airbrush stencils. Super Easy to use, very cheap and very detailled. I made a thread for this in this Forum.
  21. Extremely nice. I will take a lesson from this and reduce uniformity in my future armies to gain more livelyness. How do the figs hold the shields?
  22. VERY nice. All armies should look like this.
  23. This worked perfectly: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=89977 I would never ever reach such a level of detail by painting. I had very few mispaints and these were just because of my impatience. It was even possible to use one template more than once. Later, I shall post something like a tutorial here with more detailler pictures.
