I am not into space whatsoever, but these look very good to me. They have a great Starcraft or Starship Troopers feel to them. Interesting that they made molds for these tiny bugs.

This would be super weird. But hey, we have seen Toy Story Lego, i.e. a toy imitating another toy, which is not a toy, but living, in a render movie pretending to be real. I would not have believed TMHT either. As many between 30 and 40 I have loved the Simpsons a lot before they reached their peak. Would I feel Simpsons Lego to be a sellout? Somehow... yes. Like trying to revive a classic that has run it's course. My name is Mr. Snrub, and I say, let's invest that money back into the nuclear plant. OK, what the hell, I would buy a Mr. Burns.

Bilbo Baggins (blue jacket) exclusive figure with DVD

I cannot understand why yet another hobbit fig is necessary. Elrond was fine, he was something special, but this is a fig I do not have to get. Still, good for those who care. -

The Mandarin will make an excellent elf wizard. After being yellowified. His hairpiece is also well suited for this. -

There is a new elflike head with nougat cheek lines in the CMF 10 revolutionary fighter. Also the warrior woman has cheeklines, black ones though, but still female. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 10 Discussion

Interesting that the golden fig is feelable, I thought it would just be a golden version of a regular fig. Hmm.. the warrior woman's shield is still kind of plain, but ok. She is fine though, good fig plus 2 good weapons. The trendsetters hair is nice. The revolutionary fighters head will make a fine elf head.- 1,076 replies

The new silver asian hat attached at the front of the train will make a good shield.

I like the lines, but I don't know about eyebrows. This leads to the question whether elves age or not... Hmm. -
Official Elf compatible heads
Wardancer replied to Wardancer's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
You Sir made my day. I did not expect bricklink terminology to be so precise that it is possible to seach for cheeklines. I also prefer nougat cheeklines but up to now I did not know that there are quite a few. Thank you! Soon I will order some to bring variety into my ranks. Any ideas for females anyone? -

Good find! That is this one: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=3626bpb428 -
Hi Everyone, since there is some Elf talk going on here, I thought "Why not gather some useful info?" Elves have proliferated with the advent of the LOTR, but yellow heads have not. Fortunately, there are many official yellow heads that can be used for elves. Maybe there are many which YOU don't know. So I thought it might be fun to collect them here. I shall start. For me, every head is ok that has these cheeklines. I just ordered one of these: http://www.bricklink...e1-->3626bpb463

Very nice. The gray and the dark red accents work very well together. If these were made, I would go out feeling packets again... I am not sure about the brown legs. If I hide the legs on the screen with my hand and just look at the upper part of fig, brown is not a color I would expect for the bottom. Mixes warm and cold somehow. Anyway, that's just my taste. The white hair is great, too!

CombatBrick.com - "New" Weapons Release
Wardancer replied to CombatBrick's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Hmm, as someone who focusses on historical themes, I just have to marvel at the abundance of very detailled weapons available for modern warfare. I mean, how many machine guns are there if you combine all the third party companies? 50? 100? 150? I wish there were that many swords, lances and spears. Anyway, I did not know about combatbricks before I read this, so its good to know. I like the tomahawk with the hole in it. I imagine it to work well as the thing that mountain climbers use. Or as a throwing tomahawk for an Indian. I think it is rather deceiving to show the (sometimes multicolored) render graphics first on the website while the real things are monochrome.- 2 replies

I am looking forward to seeing these. Dark elves would necessarily have to be evil like the ones in Warhammer. They could just be bit more... grim and serious, some kind of protectors of the night. Or just evil riding dinosaurs :-D

Are the dark elves on your flickr account or somewhere I could see them? I could well imagine a wolf elf faction in white. If you look at this: http://www.hiredguns.nl/images/high-elf-chariot.jpg White lions are almost like white wolves :-D. Some white wargs, white horses, the upcoming new 2013 castle silver lion armour...

Weird, I could have sworn I commented on this already. Anyway, awesome decals! How about a faction with more white + silver + some minor colour accent like one of the blues? How about a dark elf faction? I wonder if someone has already tried that in a larger scale.

I am looking forward to seeing regiments with the corsair ship shields, all used up and dirty. It is nice that they will be avalaible in numbers. The opposite will be true for the orange foliage. I won't even try getting enought for a tree. Olive green is more widespread available, but just the small leaves.

Then it is settled: I shall need 3 of them. Maybe I should not have blown a lot of money on dragons and griffins.

I am once again late to the party but still I wish to comment. I don't think the eagle should be bigger. In some of videos he appears bigger than in the still images. I like that hif feathers are made in a seperate colour. If it were bigger it would be as big as a dragon which would appear weird. In comparison to the HP griffin, the eagl has quite a wingspan. Is there any chance that it can move its head? Maybe we were not able to see it yet? The claws are not well done, they could have used some more color, gray or yellow. Alltogether I am quite happy with it, although I think TLG could have done a bit better as with the dinos. Posability would me awesome. I strongly believe Smaug will be an extra mold as TLG did with the Hungarian Horntail. The secret stars of the sets are the army of the dead. Very detailled, very versatile. Give them different hands and heads and they make interesting warriors, except the one with the bones visible.

Interesting to hear that. I thought it was kind of commonplace to dislike pearl gold. I have looked forward to some pieces in the past and was disappointed when I saw the real thing. The Aztec Warrior for example, so much gold and yet it looked very cheap. It doesn't look real. Yesterday I tried to give a fig with the black/gold speckled atlantis armor a pearl gold sword and it does not go well together. Anyway, I don't want to go offtopic. I had just hoped the horse helmets were metallic gold as the ones before.
