Elvnoi Dozor - Guards of the Inner Sanctum Dark times, after all, called for dark elves. No, not for evil ones, but for the toughest of them all. Guards who walked in the moonlight as well as in the sunshine, who had sworn by the Golden Stag to protect the Goddess' Inner Sanctum. The recent... encounter with the undead... demanded their presence at the border and so they marched against an unknown enemy. 1 Allfront von MWardancer auf Flickr 2 Leader von MWardancer auf Flickr 3 Back von MWardancer auf Flickr Customized parts: - helmets painted - deer shields painted with fingernail template technique - capes by capemadness (these are entirely awesome) - Thranduil headpiece painted - daggers by Brickwarriors Comments welcome.

Elrond (polybag) Those who like their Elrond a bit simpler might prefer the back: http://farm9.static.flickr.com/8069/8200675133_2fae1719cd_m.jpg

What custom minifigure do you desire?
Wardancer replied to LuckyTheySay's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Found a Blog on "ladies that actually dress for dealing damage"'. There seems to be a faszination for the warrior woman image. http://womenfighters.tumblr.com These Are good: Normal: http://womenfighters.tumblr.com/image/45908289244 Evil: http://womenfighters.tumblr.com/image/21141998079 Awesome: http://nebezial.deviantart.com/art/captain-arianna-balthasar-133822743 Very good: http://nebezial.deviantart.com/art/ravine-lynn-de-luctes-184165495 Basically, it all comes down to waistline and breastspace. The Captain Arianna picture even works without the latter. For some reason, the geonosian Zombie looks very female: http://www.brickbybrick.gr/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/s/w/sw382.jpg Another idea might be to Print armor on the standard female dress piece. There is not a Single official piece that does this. -

This one is an interesting take with chainmail http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3339/5756350019_2bddb5f37c_m.jpg People have beenclamouring for a female companion for the CMF elf for a while. I will look for a fully armed example. -
Thanks for the review, I agree with your verdicts. When I first saw the set on the internet, I was very disappointed. But now that own one, it grows on me, especially the elf shields. In reality, they look quite good with some sort of light copper. Thranduil IMHO is the best elf since the CMF one and of course Haldir.

Mirkwood Elf Army - price difference
Wardancer replied to NiL_FisK_Urd's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Bricklink mirrors these differences. Thranduil costs 3.20 Eu in US and 7.30 Eu in Germany. -
Yeah, umm, if you buy 1000 MEA sets to make a regiment of 3000 elves, one might indeed be annoyed by 999 useless Thranduils. But they could still help defeating orc platoons, killing so many that only a few groups can return to their batallion.

Great idea! Love the device. I think this category of CCC is the most fun of all.

I like special characters in army sets. I like armies with variety, i.e. army building as opposed to mere army collecting. Armies need regiment leaders, noble characters and much more. Therefore, Special figs can be used in many ways. If for some reason the fig doesn't fit, you can still trade it. Sometimes Single parts are useless, like having 7 Thanduil hairpieces, but this is still ok. But this is only true if the sets contain enough regulars as well. Including only 1 Rohan soldier was foolish, this should have been either another uruk or One More Rohan.

I don't know if you are only looking for suggestion for specific characters or figs more in general, but I would like to post a wish as well: female armored torsos There is a distinct lack of female torsos that wear armor. The CMF series has brought us many fighting women in the last months, which can be seen as a response to may requests. However, most of these figs (forest maiden, warrior woman, viking woman etc.) are clad in leather or fabric with golden patterns. At the moment, there is only ONE single female armored torso that I can think of, and this is decades old. http://img1.toysperi...4v2r294x2u2.jpg It is not even every beautiful. Think of all the amazons, female knights, female elves, female romans, gladiators and whatever people could build with it. If you are looking for a market gap, there it is. People would buy this as army builders, not just as a single superhero fig. A good example would be the Warhammer High Elf maiden guard: http://imageshack.us...aidenguard.jpg/ It would not have to be elves, everthing with female shapes behind metal woud suffice. -
Hi, I need 7 more Thranduils. Hair, weapon and cape not nessecarily required. And I figured with all the AFOLS buying the MEA a lot these days, why not trade. Of course I do not need all 7 in one trade. I have: Orcs: 2x2 orcs from Mirkwood Elven army 2 orcs from Attack of the Wargs 1 Yazneg 2 oldschool green orcs with skeleton shield Others: 6 Minotaurs 10 CMF black knight boar shields 1 spacemarine red and white kingdoms lion knights, about 20 3 aztecs some LOTR Hobbits and dwarves loads of fleshie heads

Due to Itarias picture, I feel the sudden urge to start collecting a skeleton army! Rogueang, I love your armies. It must have been painfil to paint all these ears!

Thank you for the kind replies. The werewolf head was a tricky thing, because I had only one expensive one and had to use different big drills and scalpels, which can break parts easily. Yey, hmm, you are right about the sword. I have custom spears and lances, but no real ideas for swords. Maybe I could have painted the dragon catana silver, but somehow that did not appeal to me.

CCCXI - Lord Maeven on Felsentritt, carrying the Goddess Banner Not here, it could not be! The lesser being itself was not a threat, these bones would surely shatter. Felsentritt was about to run it over and the last thing it would ever see would be the Goddess Banner in its glory. However, an undead was not supposed to be that close to the inner realm. The Goddess herself would need to be alarmed, the army assembled, the old ones called. She would not like this, not at all... 1 front von MWardancer auf Flickr 2 Skeleton's perspective von MWardancer auf Flickr 2 close up von MWardancer auf Flickr 5 down von MWardancer auf Flickr 5 vignette von MWardancer auf Flickr Customized parts: - wolf head (werewolf head carved out) - cape (cape madness mid cape) - breastplate (atlantis emperor armor backwards, painted) - armguards (Brickwarriors parts painted) - horse armor (Brickwarriors breastplate and armguards cut and painted, helmet painted, green gem cut and glued) - horse blanket (cut from capes) - banner (2 staffs cut and glued, Brickwarriors antlers, painted Brickwarriors weapon, coffee logo cut out and backside painted, green plant cut and glued) - grass (Brickwarriors plumes) - knife (Brickwarriors) I am not affiliated with any coffee company.

Coupons that make sense are a rare thing in Germany, so if they are available one better makes good use of them. I have just ordered 2 MEAs for 28 Euro each including shipping. Mytoys.de offers 10 Euro discount plus 5 if you accept the newsletter. I made accounts for my wife and me, so I got 2 MEAs for 28 each.

This is wonderfully lively and emotional and realistic.

I have just ordered a bunch of uruk-hai shields, on which I am going to try using the templates. If all works well, I will show it as a custom faction for CCC. It not, I'll show the fails here. I have received the templates yesterday. They are very detailled, but also very small. A bit too small for regular big shields, but about the size of the hand on the uruk shields.
