  1. This is becoming really nice! Usually 4 doors have a smaller front door than 2 doors.... have you considered reducing the size of the front door 1 or 2 studs? Check here for an example of a 2 stud reduction: Best Regards!
  2. I aggree. For instance, the rear door rubberband, that some people complain: if you close the rear door by pushing the door handle, the door closes perfectly and stays locked, just like a real door. This just happens because of the apparent looseness of the rubberband. The door tongue collects and comes out perfectly. Details....
  3. Cool machine gun! Some resemblances with my TC17 entry.
  4. I also find this very interesting. Regarding the 14-teeth bevel gear; I think its worth to mention one difference between this gear and all other ones. While the current gears have one tooth at each "corner", that is, one tooth at 0 degrees, one at 90, 180 and 270, the old 14 teeth has two sides, say at 0 and 180 degrees, like in the picture above, where there is a gap for the other gear tooth to mesh. This allows the usage of this wheel driven by a servo motor without loosing the center.
  5. Hi. As in your 4 speed gearbox, you use only one side of the driving rings. This seems interesting to me as it might reduce friction problems (maybe at the cost of a bigger size). Am I right?
  6. It seems to me that that structure is there to give some angle to the blades. That is done through a half pin inserted in this 3L axle and pin connector. The structure might be a starting point for some mods (but the space is very small....), but given the fact there are no references to it in the box, i am pretty sures there are no functions here...
  7. The color shadding variations are really something that happens, specially in lighter colors. I also have the same problem with my Land Rover roof. That might be a consequence of different factories and probably also resulting from new/different fabrication processes, environment friendlier, but with these drawbacks. I suppose TLG is aware of that and it is a conscious option, environment above color perfection. In fact, not only there are color variations, but it seems to me that some parts on most recent sets are a bit more flexible than they used to be. Not necessarily a bad thing, but different...
  8. Just got my breakfast watching your video. Very good video and the calm music in the beginning made it even better. Thanks you for your effort... have a nice sleep And the car... ! Even you, a demanding guy, concluded with a "looks out of this world"! This thing will sell!
  9. Since it is a display model, maybe it connects directly to a power plug!
  10. I had the same issue in my tc18 entry. I put some pictures in the WIP topic and then selected all of them and paste them in the entry topic. It looked ok on a pc screen but on the mobile phone pictures were distorted. The solution was getting each picture address and paste them one by one. Don´t know if this helps you....

  14. @letsbuild! Don´t get chicken! LETS BUILD!!! NOW! You have a very nice car, it just needs a final touch! Don´t give up now, at least do something to go to the contest and then take more time to finish it as you would like...
  15. Really cool front suspension! I thought it wasn´t possible so narrow. Maybe a 4L axle with stop and bush instead of the tan axle-pin to connect the lower part of the shock absorber would make it stronger?
  16. This is really interesting, i like the idea and your implementation. I can imagine an interesting challenge: use an EV3 with some sensors to take some measures and change the shape as needed.
  17. Hi! So, after all, no major changes in the chassis. It now is a compromise between space and functionality. Shock absorbers are now horizontal which makes suspension less efficient but saves a lot of space. There is a video of it in the end. There are now some improvements. Foldable windshild, spare tire, a small trunk in the back, a roof, the possibility to replace the back seats with a small box making a litle truck, and a smaller roof for the truck. Tell me your thoughts! And now I will have to learn how to do a proper video.
  18. Probably not. Apparently, the site brickzone [dot] net has become considered unsafe. Chrome, for instance, puts a red screen every time it finds references to it. As some people stores pictures on this site, we will get these warnings from time to time while navigating EB.
  19. What an odd vehicle! And the lego model is a very good implementation, fantastic!
