Hi everybody, This is my entry for TC24 contest. I finished this in the last weekend and really thought I would not be able to participate… Anyway, here are some (lousy) pictures and a video, all done very fast yesterday… This is Police Carrier Spaceship, a ship to carry dangerous prisoners. It is a C model of LEGO 42077 Rally Car. The features are: Retractable Feet Feet Shock Absorbers Carrier area with jail Thrusters Up/Down Thrusters Left/Right The ship includes a small cage in the back to hold the prisoner, made of parts not included in 42077. Hope you like it. More pictures here.

[HELP] Generic Building Help Topic
vascolp replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Don´t hesitate ! The friction pin is there exactly to avoid the mechanism to be too loose. Otherwise the weight of the mecanism would make it return to the lower position. Chek it in this video, for instance. Compared with 9396 winch, this is way more complex... one of the things that makes this set amazing! Have a nice build! -

Cool! What about putting the battery upside down so that you can charge it from below? -

Its funny, you even move the motor, that's unusual! Thats what makes it difficult to add another motor. I also like the idea of using the two 24 tooth clutch gears to keep the whole thing in place, it might be a useful idea. By the way, nice MOC! -
Hi, I got bit curious about this. By reading Comments on several of marthart models on Rebrickable, for instance this one, you will notice: He has a site, where he explain several things and includes free instructions He uses a professional software SolidEdge to model its buildings This software produces 3D PDF Models by a simple click The user models the MOC in the software using sub-models and the software produces a 3D PDF file that can be viewed in Acrobat Reader step by step by each sub-model in sequence. The main advantage of this is that it takes much less time to produce instructions than producing proper instructions step by step. Some people are not comfortable with this approach because they cannot handle it properly or are not used to it. I understand marthart´s idea of using this software.... but probably only a good idea if you have access to a similar software.

42151 - Bugatti Bolide
vascolp replied to Maaboo the Witch's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Now that you mention that... 21 and 22 seem to be a reuse of 44351 and 44352... They must have their reasons! -

Curiously the new small panels are numbered 7 and 8 while the old ones are 21 and 22.... Would you say they were designed some years ago? Or just filling the gaps? -
Ah! Limitations of a non native English speaker (me)... Then I would say that the orange one is Entry-Level, the blue one is Mid-Tier but the white one is clearly Luxury. It even includes ejectable seats!

Glad you like it! Are you talking about instructions price? No price, they are free. Yes ... I guess technic people tend to be excited with panels . No studs though

[sMOC] Remote Bla Bla
vascolp replied to vascolp's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It works well. In the left command, the tan pins sometimes seem to get a bit stuck in these: , while the right command has no problems at all. I suppose one has to get used to it.- 38 replies

Hi everybody! I am mostly a technic builder and as such I read mostly the Technic Forum. But I already have built three spaceships, as technic C-models. So, I thought you could like it…Here are the references: RSR 911 Space Cruiser [42096 alternate model] Corvette Space Fighter [42093 alternate model] GTR Space Figther [42123 alternate model] Free instructions are available at rebrickable. Hope you Like it! VascoLP

[sMOC] Remote Bla Bla
vascolp replied to vascolp's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
In the documentation I have a little program that allows you to read or write the configuration (the profile if you want) of a remote. The configuration is a simple string, like this: "RbEMs.AFBBiR.." which I call a BlaBlaCode. You can see an example of it in the video about the Zetros in the first post and another example in this mod. The whole process is a bit clumsy, not very user friendly… but it is easier than flashing FW each time you want to save a new profile. The interface… I see what you mean, using a computer instead of a mobile... both would be very useful, I think. But yes, both require some knowledge and, ...time!- 38 replies

[sMOC] Remote Bla Bla
vascolp replied to vascolp's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The configurations are saved on the remote because, at the time, PyBricks did not allow to save data on the hub. But now, beta only, it is already possible to save data on the hub. However, the CityHub does not have enough space to have the Config Mode, it only has space for Play mode. Saving data in the Remote gives us a simple way of configuring a CityHub... through the usage of a TechnicHub... Yes, the way to go is to have an external wysiwyg program to configure RemoteBlaBla. Probably as an APP in a smartphone... it would be nice to have an app in a smartphone to avoid the usage of the smartphone But I have no skills on android programming... nor time...... maybe on day....- 38 replies

Hi Everybody! This is GTR Space Figther, an alternate model of set 42123. It was a very cool building. 42123 has very few functions, and not many gears, so it was a nice challenge. I was able to include three functions, two of them "spring loaded", using flex axles as springs, which was quite fun and it works very well! Notice also the front of the ship. It is built completely off the standards (with some ilegal stuff, I suppose) and in fact it is a bit fragile, but surprisingly it holds very well. Although some of them for decoration purposes, it uses 95% of the parts (795 parts). And it is possible to have a seat for a droid! The features are: Retractable Feet "Spring Loaded" X-Wings Retractable Side guns There are free instructions on rebrickable. Below are some pictures and a video. More pictures here. It seems I am starting to have a fleet! Hope you like it! VascoLP
