  1. OK, I suppose that's true regarding the saturation of Sci-Fi representation we've had this year outside of Star Wars; though there at least should be one such CMF amongst the sixteen within Series 19, right? If anything, Victorian Steampunk should be given a chance, something that could satisfy those with both a historical itch and a sci-fi itch. Amen brother to that! Given this Series' placement in the year release-wise, yes, trick-or-treaters and other seasonal/holiday-themed archetypes should be definitely given precedence!
  2. I mean, Lego released the set well after the Season 3 trailer was out, they had to have known about this... direction... Plus, they're still advertising the set on all sorts of social media. They definitely knew this kinda thing was a possibility. This is a horror show after all... Besides , In regards to your spoiler-pertinent thoughts on Season 3's horror, I kinda agree.
  3. In a way, one could think of the Upside-Down D2C in the same way as they would towards a licensed Creator Expert car or a LEGO Ideas set, perhaps?
  4. Upon seeing this inquiry of yours, the very first thing I thought was that a potential GB 2020 set(s) would assuredly be the second time Finn Wolfhard would see Lego representation after this year's Stranger Things D2C.
  5. Hey, I think Ned's face print for your own design looks a lot more characteristically fitting compared to Lego's!
  6. It's interesting to see most of the impatient frustration for this Series come from those primarily interested in Historical/Medieval themes. Huh, not really sure where all the Spacers, Adventurists, and other such interested AFOL nitches are right now in the waiting game we play here for this Series. By the way, how long is it after a typical CMS's official unveiling do you receive a review copy from TLG?
  7. Interesting seeing @jamieberard play coy in response to @Zusammengebaut's inquiry regarding a possible sixth Expert set for this year...
  8. For me, this wheel mold is the best-looking new thing this set has introduced, so I'm really hoping it just won't be exclusively relegated to future Harley-related products, just to leave plenty of room for opportune additional recolors of the part beyond Light Bluish Grey. Huh, I hadn't even realized that until you mentioned it...
  9. Oooooh, not only does this set comes with a Dark Red recolor of the 3x3x2 Quarter Dome (part no. 88293), but also Dark Red recolors of both the left and right Angled 3x3 Slope bricks that were newly introduced this year (part no. 42862/48165)! 11. So, what are everyone's favorite moments from Season 3? One particular scene I geeked-out at was this one, specifically in how it was choreographed with the score of Back to the Future playing in the background.
  12. PromoBricks - LEGO 10269 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy: First Official Picture Released
  13. Therefore, it's likely the set's official press release will either be within a couple hours from now or sometime tomorrow morning!
  14. Of course both the LEGO System and Technic have their own specialized, prefabricated parts; but, it may not be what parts constraction systems have as much as it's what kind of parts they lack, particularly those smaller, more-intricate pieces like "cheese wedges" and what-not that the others do have. Personally, I do appreciate (even respect) the "Ultrabuild" system for being much more standardized than G1 Bionicle's Technic-based system, though their part selections are still more particular than the LEGO System's broader selection of more versatile, basic-shaped parts with an intricate, interconnected geometry.
  15. I'm presuming that Speed Champions canopy has been tumeric-stained for this creation? Looks pretty sweet...
  16. Heh, I really dig the back-to-back placement of the two Speed Champions canopies, something I believe I've never seen in a creation before.
  17. Perhaps this newly-submitted project from today is worthy of the index @leafan? LEGO Ideas - Enchanted Haven by GondorSolider
  18. Where's that torso print supposed to be from?
  19. Couldn't it just merely be that constraction systems aren't quite as intricate or versatile as The LEGO System and Technic in terms of the parts they've offered? The way I see it, it isn't the playthemes as much as it's the constraction systems they're built upon.
  20. Um, you talking about the projected army of Billy Hargrove duplicates? For the sake of assessing this season in comparison to the previous two, likewise, probably one episode at a time.
  21. Ya know, I'm strangely alright with that, as the set we've gotten perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the show in it's entirety so far. While I'm still annoyed by Lego's recent practice of acquiring dead-end IPs, Stranger Things' second and third seasons just haven't offered much in the way of iconic-enough set material to be honest, at least for potential consumers outside of die-hard fans of the show; so, while I'd preferably like to see sets of the Palace Arcade and Hooper's Cabin, at least some BrickHeadz of some of the main characters would help extend the life of the IP beyond the D2C.
  22. Just a little bit of commentary/analysis from Beyond the Brick regarding a particular issue that's been brought back up a little while ago... I myself shared this project of yours a couple of days ago on another topic you might be interested in...
  23. Honestly, Finn's recolored hairpiece from Series 17's Gladiator CMF seems to do the job if you ask me:
  24. Depending on how the third season goes, maybe a build of the starcourt mall or it's ice cream parlour would work? Though if lego wanted to make the lab I'm sure they know which corners to cut and It'll end up looking nice if perhaps a little shrunk compared to the size in the show. Having now seen the Third Season in its entirety, perhaps a playset representation of the mall wrapped around a minifigure-scaled build of the Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream parlor wouldn't be that bad of an idea, perhaps paired with a few additional kiosk builds and a brick-constructed figure of this season's "big bad" so to speak. I believe there was a Funko POP vinyl figure of Will Byers in his purple wizard cosplay released beforehand.
