LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Though it'd greatly upset completionists, the Ms. Gold approach is best for those hoping for further yet-untouched archetypes. However, I don't think a Series 1 redux would be the end of the world if done right. For instance... Tribal Hunter >>> [Just different type of Indian, more specific to a more particular Native American tribe] Cheerleader >>> [Simple, a Male Cheerleader, much like @Robert8's design] Caveman >>> [How about a "Cave-Kid" similar to The Flintstones' Pebbles & Bam-Bam?] Circus Clown >>> [Hey, how 'bout a gender-swap?] Zombie >>> [Again, just gender-swap this one, much akin to Robert8's take on such] Skater >>> [Make this one a kid this time, perhaps with the newer medium legs] Robot >>> [Hey, if Series 1's take took after Robby the Robot, why not be a little more on-the-nose this time?] Demolition Dummy >>> [Um, maybe make him Flame Yellowish Orange rather than just Bright Yellow? I don't know...] Magician >>> [Either a simple gender-swap, or something more particular within that vein] Super Wrestler >>> [Hey, another gender-swap, why not?] Nurse >>> [Either just a gender-swap, or a different kind of healthcare worker] Ninja >>> [As Series 13's Samurai was to Series 3's Samurai Warrior, so could this CMS be to Series 1's Ninja] Spaceman >>> [Simple, give us a bubble-helmeted spaceman from the '50s!] Forestman >>> [Honestly, I'd just like a richer-colored redux of this exact archetype that isn't Series 16's Rouge] Deep Sea Diver >>> [How 'bout a Snorkeler this time rather than a Scuba Diver?] Cowboy >>> [How 'bout a modern ranch hand this time, perhaps wearing a Duster?] -
So, what are Leaf, IP-2 and Zebra?
Digger of Bricks replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well, @TeriXeri had speculated elsewhere that "Leaf" could be a new in-house constraction playtheme (ya know, Bionicle and Hero Factory), which may slightly make some sense given how many sets are coming from it (fourteen to be exact, being set numbers 71360 through 71373). As for "IP-2" on the other hand, @dimaks13 figures that may likely be the DreamWorks Trolls theme. Then there's "Zebra" (a code name most likely), described as an "adult-oriented theme" by dimaks13: 31197 [Zebra Art] 31198 [Zebra Music] 31199 [Zebra Marvel] 31200 [Zebra Disney] Yeah, I don't know what to make of that one either. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Harry Potter & Company may have a lot to offer, but it's nothing compared to the scope of the groundwork laid-out by the Disney CMS subtheme. Ya know, Ms. Gold may seem like the safest commemorative direction for such, but awhile ago I had been entertaining another possibility: What if Lego decided to give us a Series 20 lineup that was patterned after Series 1, made up of reduxes and gender variations of that Series' archetypes? Exactly. -

As far as we know, Disney's Star Wars is what's primarily keeping LEGO Space grounded.- 991 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hey, now that Lego will have had their twentieth Series in 2020 for the theme's tenth anniversary, perhaps they will stop pacing out these CMS on a yearly basis for such commemorative synchronization. I do hope a third Series for Disney will happen next year rather than later, as it's one of the more promising and worthwhile franchises the Collectable Minifigure theme has touched upon so far. Tell me though, what HP/FB characters/variants could make up a second WW Series that couldn't just be slotted into a playset? * * I haven't seen any of the films BTW. -
Nope, the possible set numbers for those (also as according to dimaks13) are 75546 through 75551.

According to @dimaks13, there's a new licensed theme coming next year primarily marketed to girls, with set numbers and placeholder names as follows... 41250 Tbd Water 41251 Tbd Flower 41252 Tbd Air 41253 Tbd Cactus 41254 Tbd Flame 41255 Tbd Big Flower 41256 [Unknown] Any gander at what this could possibly be???

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
With SDCC this weekend, sure, that makes sense in light of recent speculation of such. You talking about @Ashnflash's recently rejected LEGO Ideas submission? -
No, not necessarily. Let's say the second year monsters are ghouls. Maybe they can include the ghouls in the sets and using the app the ghouls can suffer transformations or just scary animations. There can be like 5 or 6 different animations for each ghoul which would appear randomly so it's not always the same Well, my hopes were for the theme to eventually move on to more tangible antagonists such as cryptozoological creatures or Lovecraftian monsters, but tangible antagonists just aren't what this theme's built around. Regarding that last part, I always love learning about what never came to be or what never could be. Particularly, back in 2017, @Nabii gave some interesting insight into the Steampunk genre's performance in concept testing for future themes, which was unfortunately quite poor according to him. While I woefully lament that's the case, it's at least a piece of mind for myself, and one of my most valued pieces of insight I've gained from being here at Eurobricks!
