Um, they're also rumored to be acquiring the Game of Thrones license??? Right after that show's heavily-panned conclusion???

I think it kinda was the only choice. Most Lego hairpieces in that style sweep left, this is one of the few that goes to the right. While the Superman hairpiece technically fits the bill in all those mentioned respects, I still would've prefered the Hollywood Starlet's hairpiece. It just seems to somehow work better with the Lego Minifigure's proportions in respect to the character's appearance.

The Brick Fan - LEGO Ideas Treehouse (21318) Revealed
-
Well, for the remainder of 2019's offerings, there's also a few other D2Cs, a couple of LEGO Ideas sets, the Rise of Skywalker sets, six Frozen II sets... If it's supposed to be a September release, I was expecting the first week of August, but the precedent for those three Series you mentioned sounds promising!

Ya know, Lego could potentially "retcon" this exclusive by giving us a variant figure of her character in some sorta retail-wide offering, namely a figure of her in her blue jacket and pink cable knit sweater, the last outfit she's seen wearing that is. Huh, though it hasn't been seen since 2011, I wonder if that's truly an extinct piece. It is sorta fitting.

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
After two waves with a big old Bat badge instead of a Super Heroes logo, it’s difficult to imagine anything different for the foreseeable future. Yep, the new branding isn't the most assuring for those hoping for DC-based sets beyond Batman. I mean, does anyone here really expect to ever see at least a Superman-branded solo set from this point onwards? In my eyes, the former DC SuperHeroes umbrella branding was more easily inclusive of Batman-less playsets under what has always technically been Batman's playtheme. -
In an interview over Brickset One of the designers said the 2020 wave in on the works I didnt open a thread for it because we know pretty much nothing about it, other that the confirmation that is indeed happening. I take it that it's this interview back from March you're speaking of? Brickset - Interview with Murray Andrews, Hidden Side Designer

Hmmm, is there any historical precedent for such a speculative prediction? Ahhh, I see. I guess it depends on how creative they decide to get. I suppose they could make any manner of werecreatures, and the Egyptian pantheon is pretty much all animal-headed gods. They already did Anubis, technically. Personally, I've kinda just wanted to simply see a trend of city-dwelling anthropomorphic denizens in replacement of costumed archetypes, the type of everyday occupants that make up Richard Scarry's Busytown, Disney's Zootopia, and of course, Lego's Fabuland.

Disney Princesses 2019 - Rumors & Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hmmm, perhaps, but six new sets and a rerelease is already a lot to start with. If anything, regarding winter 2020's offerings, Lego may wait till summer 2020 to release further Frozen II tie-ins as so not oversaturate/cannibalize what they've only released for such just two months prior. -
Well, maybe that illustrated hairpiece has the same volume as TLNM Jay's hairpiece, but its shaping is still closer to the DCEU Superman hairpiece they did use:

Disney Princesses 2019 - Rumors & Discussion

Well, not quite next year, as the sequel's releasing this Thanksgiving with tie-in playsets from Lego hitting shelves around the same time. -
Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I mean, from the way it looks from here on out, it's Batman-centric sets all the way, so any of those characters' comic variants could be easily shoehorned into such sets as indirect representatives for the Birds of Prey movie. -
Anyone here think @Ashnflash's design for Barb was better than Lego's? Personally, I at least think his choice of hairpiece was more fitting.
-
Personally, I'd really like for the theme to open itself up to further "spooky" antagonists beyond just ghosts; but, that'd unfortunately just defeat the whole point of its AR-based gimmick that it revolves around.

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Isn't it supposed to be R-rated anyway? I'd really love it if they could sneak Huntress into a Batman set though.... Much like how Lego indirectly represented the first Suicide Squad movie back in 2016, that's how I'd expect Lego to address Birds of Prey (if at all). -
Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation

Say, are we still expecting Lego to showcase at least one late 2019/early 2020 playset at SDCC, as they've always done? -
Disney Princesses 2019 - Rumors & Discussion

On a somewhat unrelated side-note more pertaining to next year, is anyone expecting to see these two upcoming films influence 2020's offerings? -
Of course, though what I'm getting across is that Barb would've likely been reserved for such a CMS rather than being relegated to being a mere exclusive if such a CMS were a likelihood. I mean, Barb was sold as a retail-wide release Funko Pop rather than as a exclusive of some sort on their part, so it would be handled the same way on Lego's part if a CMS were indeed a possible future consideration. Partly, to a lesser degree though, as my foremost reason is in wishing for Lego to pursue IPs that have more material to offer in the long run for more than just two Series. Preferably, I'd like to see Lego bring broader umbrella franchises much like Disney under the wing of the Collectable Minifigure theme rather than just one-and-done licenses that don't have enough to offer for three or more Series.
-
Come to think of it, I sorta feel this exclusive shuts down any possibility/speculation of a CMS based upon Stranger Things from ever happening. If so, that's kind of a relief for me personally for particular reasons...

Whoa, holy crap...
