Spot on, yet again! For me, the front nose of this creation is my favorite part, with the usage of the Nexo shields to create that sloping effect.

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
While we are on the subject of colored canopies, this newly unveiled 2018 DC Comics set (76096 Superman Krypto Team Up, pictured below) comes with two of part no. 27262 (that odd Nexo Knights mudflap/canopy part, also pictured below) in Trans. Light Green (a.k.a. "Atlantis" green). Wow, this whole time, I didn't even know there were two different versions of this canopy! Thanks for noticing that @mishtron, I would have otherwise never known!- 991 replies

Creator and Creator expert wishlist
Digger of Bricks replied to Ondra's topic in Special LEGO Themes
While I would love to see any sort of space material done for the Creator theme, particularly, I would really love to see a Three-In-One Retro Rocketcraft set, inspired by the spacecraft of the Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon comic strips. Unlike the typical Sci-Fi rocket designs of the 1950's, these 1930's Pulp spacecraft took on more of a rounded, teardrop shape at times. Here are a couple pictorial examples: As far as MOC examples go, there are not many to go around unfortunately. But here I have linked an older, but still impressive creation by Lego designer Mark Stafford (a.k.a @Nabii) from 2006 inspired after these spacecraft. MOCpages - Retro Rocket by Mark Stafford -
What future LEGO Movies would you like to see happen?
Digger of Bricks replied to Realshow's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I've read multiple suggestions for a Lego Star Wars movie on this thread, and I've never really pondered how such a movie could work. But thinking about it now, I think I've got a rough idea of a synopsis. Perhaps the film could focus on a Emmet-like nobody living on Tatooine in Mos Eisley who inadvertently bumps into Luke, Obi Wan, Han, and the others and throws off the events of the entire original trilogy in a wild series of misadventures. The movie would essentially be a wacky, altered, sped-up take on the the original movies with many unexpected, absurd twists and turns.- 97 replies

The Best LEGO Superheroes Minifigure Round 1.29
Digger of Bricks replied to VaderFan2187's topic in LEGO Licensed
This guy. https://m.youtube.com/#/user/forrestfire101 He has become a talented brickfilmer, but his earlier films were just profanity laced absurdities of a poor quality. When you used to search "Lego Batman" on YouTube, all his films used to come up first thing due to their high view count. Now thanks to TLBM, his stuff is less relevant in search results. -
Wow, Scrooge McDuck looks great! I really like depiction of the small spectacles set between the eyes, and the usage of the old Islander plumes (is that what they are?) for feather tuffs works perfectly! Though I'm not familiar with them, I recognize the other characters, who also have great, spot on caricatures.

Unless I'm wrong, I don't believe that particular canopy has ever been printed on before in past sets; but still, that does not mean they never will, and unfortunately it does seem like this canopy has been printed. I saw that too, on Kylo's TIE fighter (linked below). Like @Artanis I said, canopies for Star Wars tend to be printed, but maybe the simple, flat surface of that windshield might mean they simply opted for a sticker. It's funny, but most AFOLs complain about stickers, but here is one particular instance where we'd prefer them in this case. https://www.exoforce.ru/serii-lego/star-wars/star-wars-lego-75179-istrebitel-kaylo-rena-tie.html- 991 replies

The Morgan 3 Wheeler would make for an iconic set I think, and while it certainly would be nice as a Creator Expert series set, it would also be fitting as Technic set too. -
LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Digger of Bricks replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The speeder is small and odd, but I don't care for asymmetrical spacecraft anyway. But the old Slave I canopy in Trans-yellow is definitely of interest to me, I just am waiting to see if the thing is printed or not. I certainly don't know what to make of that odd walker thing, but I'm not that familiar with the source material anyway. Now Kylo's TIE fighter is COOL, I would definitely consider purchasing that set if Star Wars was a theme I was more interested in. Can anyone identify the Trans. Red part on the front of the pilot cockpit? The UCS BB8 is excellent I think, and it will be interesting to see the construction utilized for the set in reviews. I do wonder what the total piece count is. -

That's a very nice canopy to have in Trans-yellow, but I'm somewhat concerned that those are prints instead of stickers. Well, its not that big of a deal if they are since those graphics are in Light Bluish Grey, which will work fine with CS creations, but not Blacktron I creations. I guess we will just have to wait and see.- 991 replies

I think an interesting idea for a Daily Planet play set would be as a sixteen wide, thirty-two stud deep modular with a height of four stories. This would be done to give the modular a tall, skyscraper like stance and to keep the set within a $150-$200 price range. As far as minifigures go, a such a set would likely settle well with at least seven characters, primarily Perry White, Jimmy Olson, Lois Lane, Clark Kent, Superman, and maybe two villains. One specific detail I should mention, a plausible shortcut for the globe crowning the building could be a printed reusage of the two part globe used for the packaging of the Star Wars Planet Series used from 2012 to 2013. Also, two another things I would like to see for the DC Super Heroes theme would first be a "Great Vehicles" subtheme, made up of $20 single vehicle builds including only one figure. Such a subtheme could include sets such as a Batmobile, a Green Lantern energy construct, a Redbird for Nightwing, various villain rides, and even some wilder character themed rides mirroring the characters' costumes, similar to those Hot Wheels Character Cars. The second thing would be a twelve inch constraction figure subtheme, only that the builds would be constructed from System bricks instead of Ultrabuild parts. These builds would offer some great printed parts for MOC reusage and even some completely new parts if needed. If successful, the building system could even be adopted for other themes.

Either a safari or desert/outback subtheme would both be very plausible possibilities for the future, a safari one being most welcomed by those wanting new animal molds. Now I myself would greatly want to see a moon base space theme, especially one with many throwbacks and homages to Classic Space. But such a theme might not even be considered an exploration subtheme, but merely a space one. Given the pattern that has been observed over the years, most train fans are expecting a return to the train subtheme for summer 2018.

Of course the S8 Diver for me, since he's the closest thing Lego has done to a Steampunk themed CMF, even though he isn't a fantasy archetype.

If we ever got a Bizarro figure in a normal set, he probably would come with expressions different from his SDCC counterpart, a torso design lacking the stone medallion/metal, and maybe dual molded Bright Blue/Dark Purple legs for boots.- 5,808 replies

No, the scuba tank does fits them well for that themed look, it just would have been nice if instead they had dual air tanks like the shark headed goons so the piece could be used to spruce up classic spacemen for a much more outfitted look. -

While I myself would prefer an American streamlined steam locomotive, perhaps a British one would have a much more broader appeal internationally, such as the LNER Class A4 4468-Mallard which Eurobricks user @marbleman had recently done a very nice MOC of. Yeah, the Auburn Speedster is an all-time favorite of mine! There are a few other Art Deco automobiles I should mention here which I think would make for some excellent Expert series sets, which include a Talbot Lago teardrop coupe, a 1936 Cord 810, a 1936 Cadillac V16 Aero Coupe, and a 1938 Bugatti 57SC Atlantic Coupe. -
Not bad! I'm liking the boiler construction and the simple usage of the "cheese grater" for the steps to the engineer cabin works rather nicely.

The Best LEGO Superheroes Minifigure Round 1.29
Digger of Bricks replied to VaderFan2187's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ditto here, though Star Lord and Adam West Batman were tempting. Off subject somewhat here, but though I prefer BvS Wonder Woman over her solo film variant, the solo variant does double quite well for Rebirth styled WW with little variation. That though has probably been mentioned by others already. -

Aw dang it. The separate air tank piece has only one air tank as opposed to two like the one piece sharkhead/air tank mold. Well, primarily, I would have liked to see the separate air tank mold redone in other colors perhaps to be retrofitted on classic spacemen, if it indeed had two air tanks like the spacemen originally did. With one air tank though, it sort of is just too scuba diver-esq. -
Now my first thought was for that licensed truck was a Ford F150 (which would be pretty cool), but it most likely will be something like the Mercedes Unimog, which we have gotten a couple times before.

The thing is, @Sir von Lego is presumably speaking of winter 2018 sets, which would not include an exploration based subtheme as traditionally done so far. But having said that, perhaps Lego could have broken that four year old trend and this mining theme is 2018's exploration subtheme to be released instead for winter. While I'm assuming the theme will be alike or resemble 2012's, maybe this could be City's "down to earth" take on Power Miners, minus the rock monsters of course. As far as other horizons for exploration subthemes go, would a moon base take on City's space subtheme be considered part of that portfolio?
